Ever since the draft I've been staying up too late watching Devin Carter videos until 4:00 a.m. and so I was excited to watch this one and it delivered, great content. I have been of the opinion that one of the Kings biggest needs is energy players, intangibles. Outside of Monk, they really do not have another 'energy changer' that can shift momentum with a single like 'wow' play, get the crowd going, uplift the team, whatever, and I don't want to get my hopes up, but it seems like Carter is that on the defensive side of the ball. I think adding this type of player to this roster is going to be a lot more impactful than some people think.
Fantastic analysis, great editing to match the analysis I'm sure this was a lot of work. Super excited to see him play, he's got the swag that we need because much of our roster gets rattled easily in high pressure situations and I think he will boost everyone's confidence in those situations.
PC fan here, y'all got a steal. Kid can shoot and athletic as hell. He the best defensive guard in college. Plays passing lanes, angles and will take the ball from you. Big east Player of the year of over Clingan and Castle who went ahead of him.........watch the at Creighton, at St John's and at home vs Georgetown games.....lost to UConn at home the last game of the season, but started that game, I believe 15-1, all Carter.
One word injury. The Kings are one of the few teams who don’t NEED him immediately. Also there always that slight risk that after injury the player is never the same again. This made him prohibitive as a top ten prospect.
Kings are deep. Fox, Ellis, Monk, Carter, and McLaughlin at the guards. Demar, Keegs, Huerter, Lyles, McDermet at the forwards. Sabonis at the 5 with Len in Robinson in spot minutes. Feels like they are one move away. A guy like Beef Stew could shore up the backup 5, play some 4 and add toughness. Tari Eason would be a good target but not sure what it takes to go get him. Like the talent they have on 2 ways as well. Lots to be excited about!
Let’s make it simple… We tried to get Caruso (a GUARD) and failed. Fans were upset. Now we drafted a guy with a longer wingspan and similar vertical reach + more athletic and explosive. Hmmm
Not saying he will be that level automatically but his ceiling is higher and his floor is high as well. Let’s not forget the massive difference in age and contract as of now

Devin has alot of potential to be really good, can play both ends, shoot/defend/rebound, lets see if we keep him before the season starts.
