I love watching Keating play. Gives action, always smiling, all class. The sick bet on the river to make JR fold a chop was amazing (a recent past video)
No, he’s def just a whale. Has lots of disposable money, loves to gamble and plays an insanely wide range, but he’s still better than a lot of players that would consider themselves pros
@@ten4267 actually there are no solved strategy for 1000bb deep game. Its def not what they usually call solver approved strategy, it supposed to be much wider preflop because of insane pot odds and multiway nature of this game
Great fold. Only 88s kks or J 10 really beating him. With Q9 blockers, it is very unlikely his opponent will have QQ or 99. Plus, the dude bet half his stack on turn and was basically committing himself on the river. Super strong.
Keaton is a GREAT poker player for not playing that long, compared to other players and playing at stakes we all dream of. If Keaton wrote a poker book, I probably wouldn't read it. I can't read. But his poker play is great.
If Alan calls the 45k-50k and the river is a diamond, it'll be insanely difficult for a set of Kings to call a large bet on the river. Rather put your opponent to the test on the turn and get them to make a decision that gives you more information about where you stand in the hand.
@tezhda i disagree. I dont think many people would call that size of bet on the turn on a flush draw and if they did have high equity, any other set or 2 pair combos which they have in their range they're probably more likely to go all in. So ye he is losing to 10J but is pretty much nutted against a wide variety of other hands that might raise him all in on the turn.
This is what happens when you over play a made hand. Especially given his image, he’s not capable of that raise without at least a set. Alan did exactly what he should do and milk for info. Love this hand. Live play pros >
KK was the only lock hand. 88 and JT could be beaten with a 4-outer on the river, KQ with a 2-outer. And Alan Keating loves to gamble, so I can imagine he's only folding if he puts DJ on KK.
Not the easiest fold in the world but it’s also not that crazy. What bluff is DJ check raising turn for half his stack? Insanely strong line, he’ll have a ton of J10s/KK/QQ here.
DJ makes a bad raise on the turn. If Keating has the straight you're just throwing money away and if he's on a draw you want him in. Checking is the correct play. If the board pairs you only have one hand that beats you.
Look i love Keating, & he's indeed a genuis, unorthodox world-class player, whom i've seen make absolutely baffling decisions & turn out to be right on numerous occasions. In this particular hand tho, it doesn't really showcase some brilliant soul-read on his part as the title suggests. If you watch BJ's reaction to Alan asking _"Kings?"_ @05:25 he pretty much gives every indication possible w/out flat-out saying it, & that reaction alone makes it blatantly obvious that he has it, but then also look at the way his face drops & he starts to squirm in his seat as well. You can tell he's saying to himself in his head that he fvcked up, & it becomes even more apparent. It's a tough fold for anyone in that spot, sure, but imo it's 1 that most 1/2 way decent poker players would or should pick up on & then muck, when you see the way BJ responds & his subsequent behavior after Alan calls out his hand. 🤷🏼♂️
I mean who is buying DJs huffing and puffing. i cant tell if hes unable to control his own body cause of anxiety but he does not look stoic in the slightest.
Much of what you see on here - especially from Airhead, I mean Airball - is Bingo, not poker. Keating plays poker. There's all kinds of hands that DJ could have that would fit in with his pre-flop 3-bet that beat Keating. Along with the kings that he has, he could very well have KQ or J-10.
But he doesn't know Alan's hand and better still didn't want to get felted in the river by any diamond , 10, etc etc. He took the pot down on the turn which is always a win .
Mr. Keating seems to have excellent live reading skills, and he uses table talk very effectively. I wonder if he has taken special tutoring in situational psychology.
Keating folded the NINTH nuts to a raise of 115k to an opponent with only 108k behind on the turn in a 212k pot and this is an amazing fold? DGAF the only thing worse than your commentary is your analysis.
1st. Not seventh nuts. J10, KK, QQ, 99, 88, KQ, K9, K8, then Q9 (ninth nuts). 2nd. Yes, folding middle two pair, getting almost 3:1 on a call with a river still to come..is a good fold.
I’d demand $85k from Keating. That was the price to see his hand. If there’s no friend understanding between them that’s a huge violation. Btw, easiest fold in the world.
Easiest fold? Hahaha. The only reason you'd fold that hand is from a live read which DJ provided. You are torching money if you're folding these hands online or against opponents with at least somewhat of a poker face.
What could he beat on the turn? In the first hand they showed DJ went into check-call mode w/AK on a fairly dry bored. Then in the big hand he check raises half his stack on the turn? J10, sets, KQ all are possible. What else does he check raise with?@@TristanSune
I was thinking the same thing. It may be a friendly game but don't you ever turn my cards over. Lose a hand for that. And I don't agree with easy fold. If DJ was betting air you'd say easy call. Noobs are all the same.
The commentator picks and chooses who he wants to see felted. He is as low class as it gets. Bring in someone neutral. Surprised he hasn’t been confronted by one of the players

Keating is so classy, great sense of humor, and he loves the action. If I see an HCL video with Alan, I am clicking.

Nice 1K Tip by Keating! I love seeing that!
I’m convinced that Alan Keating is a world class pro who acts like a whale.
Keating was playing high stake while all these guys were still studying in college

Makes a lot of strange plays
"DJ could have AJ of diamonds.., Aces...."😅😅😅😅, yeah right, check-raise half of his stack against Keating. It is always value, straight or set
Great fold. Only 88s kks or J 10 really beating him. With Q9 blockers, it is very unlikely his opponent will have QQ or 99. Plus, the dude bet half his stack on turn and was basically committing himself on the river. Super strong.
Alan is always a must see ! Great guy great sense of humour and a really smart poker player
Next Batman movie Alan Keating should be cast as the Joker. Not just for that unsettling smile, but also for his pure demented genius.
Alan keating is insane - he's definitely got it
Keating got that spidey sense.
DJ tried to look a little too weak and scared when he hit that K
Keaton is a GREAT poker player for not playing that long, compared to other players and playing at stakes we all dream of.
If Keaton wrote a poker book, I probably wouldn't read it. I can't read. But his poker play is great.
Alan is actually a great player however I think DJ should have continued firing the turn for like 45k - 50k then he might get it all.
DJ is a fish

i dont think backdoor diamonds are that much of a concern in that spot with kings
is that based upon you're never playing at these stakes, or the books you've authored on poker, or all those bracelets you've never won?
Love watching me some Alan Keating!
The smile came before he said kings ya donkey

Has dj ever heard of 'poker face'?
The song by lady Gaga?
Santosh one my fav additions
DJ’s poor acting led to the fold .. 😂
Do they not have a time clock on HCL? Keating in full tank mode.
Bruh I thought the dude in the skin tight long sleeve blue shirt was the Situation from Jersey Shore😆
That's cold😂😂
Mike! 🤣😂
He still has his superman costume on from Halloween.
I played with him in some home games years ago.

A.K. is highly inteligent creature.
The amount of calm coming from his aura.
I wonder what qould make this guy tilt
K2s is the Keating. cant lose
I'ma start calling it that.
Top 2 is the hardest hand to play when facing big action…I call it “broke 2”
Love all the 1/2 grinders giving analysis on these 😂😂😂
God how sick would have been if he said “kings” then when DJ smiled he just snap jammed all in 🤣
Lol JT ez clap

I guess him taking DJ’s cards and looking at them was totally appropriate?!
Keating is back
jibreal in his superhero costume:0
imagine wearing that shirt out in public
Alan is the GOAT player on this channel.
So glad Alan is back
The show needed him to step up. It's fun to watch again.
Q9 vs kk hand has to be the wetest board ever. Folding low 2 pair is not un heard of. Especially to a check raise. Id probably go broke. Lol
Just so you know dude, you didn’t ride a horse in the ocean because there is no ocean on the west coast of florida.
Can't believe how rife these games are at these levels with such obvious tells..
looked with to strong to check raise the turn could you imagine if he just kept betting.
I’m convinced they only have two dealers is because they are mechanics
He’s never raising with AJdd or AA.
Not the easiest fold in the world but it’s also not that crazy. What bluff is DJ check raising turn for half his stack? Insanely strong line, he’ll have a ton of J10s/KK/QQ here.

Good god get over yourself, you're hardly any expert to give anyone any advise let alone guys at these stakes.
I mean who is buying DJs huffing and puffing. i cant tell if hes unable to control his own body cause of anxiety but he does not look stoic in the slightest.
DJ does not have much of a poker face... the hollywooding after the K on the turn bet was something.
And acts upset at Keating’s bet then re-raises!

what a boss😂
Watching Keating is like watching a lamb being slaughtered. Feels so wrong
Is Alan Keating still friends with Dan balazarian ?
How can he just grab his cards and look at them? I didn't see him ask.
I suck at poker, but I honestly think that dj raised too much with that set of kings 🤷🏻♂️
I’m telling you . K2 suited always win . It’s weird
K4 suited for the win
World class fold?? His hand is a bluff-catcher. Loses to KK, QQ, 99, 88, 10J, KQ. And there’s no way he’s doing that with AA on a board like that.
Easy fold if you look at DJs Hollywooding pre-bet. His body language was a Dead give away. I would have snap folded.
Even post bet acting weak. Why do poker players think they can act :)
blue smurf took the blue pill
clickbait thumbnail bruh

Didnt help him much he lost about 2.5 milion dollars on hustler
He does seem to go insanely aggro at times, doesn’t he!
These guys are easy to read, dude raises after checking? Should have called then taken his money
This is NOT POKER! It is a little girls crying hybrid! WAAAAAAAHHHHHHH I gotta look at your cards
6th sense? He has the 12th nuts

Call the clock on this grandstander. He ain’t special.
Not that hard of a hand to muck...not world class at all.
