Even I, until stumbling on this video abt 10 months ago knew completely nothing about Kazakhstan other than its some country in Central Asia, that was about it. Anyway, that's to clarify why I find Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries to be underrated in my personal opinion. *For TL:DR - Central Asian countries are landlocked and their influence doesn't go much abroad so we in Philippines don't get much exposure.* Regarding Borat though, I didn't even know what Borat was until I checked this comment section tbh, which was after I made that original comment. What's special about Kazakhstan? Well, as a tourist, former Nur Sultan now again Astana is one amazing & unique capital (Baiterek, Khanshatyr.. etc) ! At least, it impressed me. Kazakhstan was my long planned pick for my first trip ever to Asia. Couldn't get there in 2020/2021 due to covid closed borders thing, but in 2022 I decided to spend 10 days there in September, before visiting neighboring Uzbekistan. I might say also that Almaty's surrounding mountains (start of the Tian Shan) are rather impressive background view, especially from the business center or when standing in the First President's gardens. Even more must be the canyon nearby (that I should have visited). I suppose Turkestan and Aktau (Caspian Sea) are also worth the visit.
I'm from Kazakhstan, and I'm kazakh. And exactly, Borat is annoying and people literally say: it should replace the real anthem " Like why? The real anthem is gold.

What's special about Kazakhstan? Well, as a tourist, former Nur Sultan now again Astana is one amazing & unique capital (Baiterek, Khanshatyr.. etc) ! At least, it impressed me. Kazakhstan was my long planned pick for my first trip ever to Asia. Couldn't get there in 2020/2021 due to covid closed borders thing, but in 2022 I decided to spend 10 days there in September, before visiting neighboring Uzbekistan.
I might say also that Almaty's surrounding mountains (start of the Tian Shan) are rather impressive background view, especially from the business center or when standing in the First President's gardens. Even more must be the canyon nearby (that I should have visited). I suppose Turkestan and Aktau (Caspian Sea) are also worth the visit.
I'm from Kazakhstan, and I'm kazakh. And exactly, Borat is annoying and people literally say: it should replace the real anthem "
