This thing is amazing! Haven driven it, I can say it‘s rugged and smooth all at once. I wonder if people realize the front bumper laws in Europe require rounded bumpers for bouncing pedestrians out of the way? The whole world is designing their vehicles to this spec. Thus the square front on the old Defender we love is impossible. They did great considering. Cheers

It looks fantastic until you realize there is no land rover dealer in the middle of nowhere to plug a fancy laptop every time a tiny sensor breaks and the car starts acting like it had a stroke.
You don't need a landrover dealer. Any mechanic with a scan tool or your own scan tool. To check fault code's

Land Rovers always are known for their off-road ability no doubt, I have the "original" Defender and love it.
This car does not resemble the Defender, they are marketing this towards the LR Discovery 4 owners that don't like the look of the Disco 5, don't blame them.
How reliable and dependable will be in the harsh Australian outback, where I live now, with so much technology built into it. I love technology but water, microscopic red Australian dust and humidity are the technology's worst enemy.
This will be for mums picking up kids from school (when corona is sorted)!

If you want a new vehicle like the classic Defender there will be the Ineos Grenadier. It's also British and is supposed to fill the void Land Rover has created by moving to a crossover with fully independent suspension and a unibody chassis.
There is a reason Toyota still sells the Land Cruiser 70. Reliable and simple so that nothing goes wrong but if something breaks you should be able to do it yourself.
The wheels are just way to big. If you air the tires down you will damage them for sure.
Land Rover and reliability can’t go in the same sentence.
