  • In 1979, NYIT professor Don Fizzinoglia interviewed Greg Calbi for a series of informational videos about different career paths for engineers. Greg had joined Sterling Sound as a cutting engineer a few years prior, following his prolific tenure at the Record Plant. In this video, you will see Greg explain his process in layman's terms and demonstrate the lost art of splicing tape using Dire Strait's "Tunnel of Love." We got a kick out of this blast from the past, and hope that you do too!

FYI, that would be 1980, not 1979. Making Movies was recorded and released in 1980.

Excellent catch. Too bad nobody at Sterling cares enough to correct it 😂
