Just found this, what a great and intresting interview with Tim. Had the pleasure of meeting him once way back in 1980. He mastered our first Album at CBS. Again fascinating interview.
Sorry to be so off topic but does any of you know of a method to log back into an instagram account?? I somehow lost my login password. I would love any tips you can offer me
@Ben Torin i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and im in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
The Pultec equalizer made its first appearance in the early 1950s. Mastering started the minute it was realized that precautions needed to be taken to keep a playback needle in a record groove, well over a CENTURY ago.. Bill P.
would love to hear his thoughts on the clipper softwares coming out nowadays. they help with loudness a lot without TOTALLY damaging the entire wave (kinda does damage the peaks, i know lol, but still) btw thank you lewitt!

Fantastic interview, Gentlemen! Thanks to both Lewitt & Tim for taking the time to produce and share this. 👍
Had the great opportunity to hang out with Tim last year at Metropolis. Really awesome engineer who's happy to share his thoughts on mastering.
It was really an honor to meet him. He had endless incredibly interesting stories to tell.

Not that I'm aware of
If you remaster an album and like the original master better, then you have a problem.
