No sd card is a deal breaker, i was almost happy i found my next phone.
Please Update Chipset in Phone Finder.
Please update about SHARP SMARTPHONE.
Will looking like a snack :) I might consider getting the Zenfone 8 Flip, really want to try the flipping mechanism.
after zenfone3 is this the one of the good looking phone in the zenfone series
I dont get why people are complaining in the comments section.. for me this is the perfect phone (maybe bec we have preferences)… for its price, you get flagship chipset and specs, compact form, headphone jack, 120hz super amoled and ip68!! I have the zenfone 8 btw, and i dont think ill upgrading anytime soon (though i prefer design of zenfone 9)
I'm in love for this visual, maybe I will sell my ZFold3 and get this small beast...
comback of zenfone ❣️
NFC?
Sim slot ?
Dolby vision ?
Storage type ?
Charger ?
5g ?
thinking to switch to this phone from my current iphone 12 since they are a bit similar in terms of size. thanks for this review!
why do you want to switch from the 12?
@@MKR3238 idk rich pple things
@@MKR3238 hmmm rich pple things :P jk... wanted to switch from iOS to Android, it's been a while since I'm in the ecosystem.
I still use asus zenfone 5 max till now. I've used it for more than 5 years. It's still great in every aspect except it stops with android 9 version.
I'm so hyped for this phone. I've got notifications set on Asus' site for when it's available in the US. I'm ordering one immediately.
Hello. Hope you have this phone already. I want to know if we can uninstall the google dialler and messages apps and install zen ui dialler and message app? I’m not a fan of these google apps or their UI… so this is a dealbreaker for me! Your answer will be much appreciated… thank you…
@@tweetyno.132 I'm not sure, I've just been using the dialer from the phone. I came from a Samsung so I'm not sure what Googles dialer and messaging app looks like
I know that it's dual sim, but does Zenfone 9 supports eSIM?
$800 is to expensive, puting a falgahip chip in this phone is overkill. A 7 gen chip would of been good $550 to $600 sounds better.
its 700

i still in asus zenfone 8, but s22 best.. design ever compact
Hi, could you please explain in simple terms the difference in performance between the 8Gb and the 16Gb models? Thanks.
Great review as always and very likeable presenter.
Finally a smaller phone, i do NOT want a tablet. I'd like to see a bezzelless 5.5 inch phone, just like the 12/13 mini, that would be amazing.
What is a right camera aperture of this mobile dear because in your website you mentioned that F 1.9 but in this video you wrote F 1.8 so please tell me, what is a correct information.
So great to see a compact 2022 flagship for a not insanely high price!
Love the design
I was choosing between the Zenfone 8 and Galaxy S21 FE for my most recent phone. I really wanted the Zenfone but couldn't justify the extra ~€200 cost. This new model looks great as well but I expect it will have the same issue. Besides, I'm hoping I won't need to upgrade again for a few years at least.
That extra $200 gets you a beefier cooling system and a bigger battery paired with a chip built on TSMC's power efficient 4nm process. This is one of the few scenarios where I believe the price increase in justified.
I think that 6 inch screen smartphones are the most comfortable to hold and use. I wish ASUS would had kept the flip up camera, but that's not a problem at all. I like it, a very nice and powerful smartphone!😊
When will it be launched in India?
Great and unboxing bro,and also great design camera,i really love this #Asuszenfone9 cool and fancy.
I couldn't find this one from our local store and my brother got me this full in retail box from MyWorldPhone
Why are the rear camera frame unnecessarily large? 😅
Best looking smartphone
very like how asus keep compact size ❤️
Would be perfect if storage were expandable.
When to expect in india?
Great review might upgrade my 8 to this
Was thinking of switching from iPhone 12 to this one. Would it be worth? Wanted a stock android experience and don’t care about wireless charging.
For sure, but always lower your expectation after switching between two OS
Pre-ordered this phone yesterday since mi Xiaomi 9T was slowly dying for the past 4 months and I was badly looking for a replacement, but the iPhone wasn't worth it's price and I don't want to get into apple infrastructure, the Xiaomi 12X was badly underdelivering in the camera department and the curved screen edges is a nuisance, and the Samsung S22 has a tiny battery, while Asus Zenfone 9 ticks all the boxes. Waiting for Aug 18th for mine to arrive!

This design looks so refreshing
Is there going to be a pro version of this?
Amazing! I really would want one of these if the price is good
Well done Asus! Minus two things. If a phone doesn't have 3-4 years of support it's kinda a bad thing IMO. Also price. Now unlike some others I think the moving sensors played a huge role in price. But considering the performance of the cameras I'd be happy to deal with them. The price is just a little too high. Otherwise I'd literally make s couple trade ins for this compact phone.
Bro Samsung s22 is almost the same phone without headphone jack and SD card for extra $200 this phone is not only well priced, it's the second cheapest SD 8 gen 1 phone
Great Video As Always!!
I just don't understand that for
LOW LIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY
We need to carry other fone!!!
Really No Fone Is PERFECT!
Best place to buy one?
How's the macro? Are the pictures fine?
great and decent phone! more small phones please!!!!!!!!
Where can you purchase this phone?
Yes,nice to know some manufacture build small one..but sadly the screen has a large bezel
Do you think this phone will support LE Audio?
799 seems steep with some omissions. I think 6a is still better value with more OS updates. Thats just my opinion, ik 120hz is important to some, but 90hz is a good middle ground.
But the 6a isn't 90hz. It's 60hz.
@@MangoReader IK, I meant to say, 90hz would have been a nice middle ground. I use 60hz and no big deal.
@@Techvoyage777 Ah okay. Agreed.
@Digitech I got it for 150 plus pixel buds for a worn down 3a...that is a helluva a deal even for a worn down phone. Just saying.
S22 is curently 749€ in France but it has Exynos. I rather take one

Neat camera orientation 😯✨
Will this one also not be available for Verizon type networks?
Its the gimbal stabilization works with fullHD and 4K on 60 fps? 🤔
Ok, this Asus phone looks amazing.
ASUS Zenfone 9 is Finally Here!
Would be nice if they have a little bigger model as a middle choice between the Zenfone 9 and the Rog(which is way too big imo). 6.2 inch or something like that as a middle size model
Love it, wish they'd put the snapdragon 7 in it though to make it slightly more affordable. Personally see no need for a snapdragon 8+ in this compact phone unless you're into gaming, which if you were then you'd get a gaming phone.
Go for nothing phone, snapdragon 7.
@@ralph6089 prefer the form factor on this.
Yup snap 7 would be great, with the pro running 8
When and Where I can buy Asus Zenfone 9 in India?
I consider this to be the best phone to be released lately, only Sony and Asus offer these features now, like real fingerprint reader and headphone jack, but the Sony is way more expensive. And it’s compact also, deal
Does it support bypass charging?
Love the size for one hand use
Will this come to India?
I just bought a 1 year old release OnePlus 9. 2 days before this was released. Would have gone with this one for sure
GSMARENA !!
U should really bring in both Processor version of Samsung phones when u review them
Every Zenfone I've owned has each disappointed in only 2 ways - the battery and the camera. The camera stops focusing after a while & never recovers. Hope the Z9 has sorted these issues out.
As far as I see this I just realized this is one of the excellent mobile of ASUS series in terms of excellent camera 📸📷
