A marked and unmarked Skoda Kodiaq Dog Unit from the Merseyside Police Matrix Unit are seen responding to incidents from their base at very high speed, with the 1st car almost catching air time!
Also seen in the compilation are other Police cars responding, from South Wales, Merseyside and Avon and Somerset Police, and Ambulances from the Welsh, West Midlands and Bristol Ambulance Services.

although they look cool, I wonder why they always take the VRS range from Skoda? Octavia VRS, Kodiaq VRS ... I doubt that they ever hit the VRS' top speed, and already more basic versions of e.g. the Kodiaq have a sports mode. That would be completly sufficient, wouldn't it? Whatfor spending extra money just to have the VRS?

They only use Kodaq VRS' as unmarkeds, the marked Kodiaq DSU cars are just a standard TDI model

If they're cops then there's a good chance at some point they could reach their top speeds during a pursuit for instance.

@@Eddiecurrent2000 don't they have precise limits how much they may go above the posted speed limits? The top speed of a normal Kodiaq is at 197 kph, the top speed of the RS is 234 ... that's just 37 kph difference for quite a bit more money

@@EnjoyFirefighting no, the policies vary force to force but in no forces are advanced drivers (which the majority of dog handlers are) capped so long as they can justify it. In Merseyside’s case they may have found it cheaper to purchase a larger number of vRS models than mix and match.
