I remember playing the global beta, on my birthday and it was such a awesome time. I played this game so much. I think it's worth mentioning that different servers had different relationships to the cash shop. For example, in the korean server it used to be common to get cash items through events, and unlike in the global server, they usually were tradable/sellable, which made the in game economy much healthier, also. Before they killed the korean server by blocking the foreigner players, I had never considered playing in the global server.

Downloaded and started playing this week for the first time since 2014. You leave the tutorial with two digimon one being a 5/5 and level 60… it feels like it gets you so far once you complete the tutorial that there’s nothing worth playing for tbh.
I must've really sucked at this game, huh? I started playing it when it came out globally and yet I had no idea they added File Island only a year later, because by the time I could go there, I was already a few years older. I do, however, distinctly remember back when they changed the DATS Center map.
Can't believe I played the game from launch up to 2017 Christmas. F2P until my last day which I spent 3mos worth of salary to roll my Miracle and never once got AT AT CD CD roll. Uninstalled and never looked back. Good times
Damn really going down memory lane, played when Wemade/joymax did the close beta and now whenever I try to log in, it says "hacking email" really don't know what happened haha. Hate to see how a good game became complete doo doo
Good old times :( played since the game started but now i don't due to hackers and game being heavy p2w, i actually spent quite a bit of money getting 5/5 and 12/12 cloning in beginning but lootboxes and gacha is too much. The TrollMax days xD you could say there were some issues but those were the best times for me. Lvling with friends in gizumons then maze the parties to do cards. Good Times :(. Also the hype when omegamon was announced and people getting mad cause they had to get a new agumon and gabumon due to side megas being unlocked , despite all of that the game was super fun.
2018 was when I stopped playing the game. Though ... if the game lasts long enough, maybe I'll come back some day in the future. I still remember the arenas. They were really cool and fun. I have to admit, that "chess" game looks kinda cool. I'd like to try out Super Rumble if it gets released outside Korea. Though, atm I can't play it anyway, so ... 🤷
Its Amazing to see how the went from a huge potencial game with alot to give and be Huge in mmo genre to dogsht filled with bots and microtranscations (p2w, Money only evolution, etc), event that other game DIgimon RPG started decent then copyright appeared and then P2W was implemente and 90% of the population disapeared in hours.
Hey 2019 is the time i got banned XD from playing clean since 2012 to 2019 where i got to work as an adult. i tried to bot for a week.. despite of the game allowing rampant bots since 2012.... when I tried at 2019 they set a ban hammer XD well, it was bitter-sweet. I lost 7 years worth of account, but I got my life back ahha. now I even saved some money I pour in this greedy game
i played this game til loot boxes. last digimon i got was susannoomon. im just hoping super rumble doesnt go down this path and just keep paid items for set prices
I feel like you forgot to mention a key detail that the first dungeon added to the game was a f2p way to farm jogress chip and auras. It was my only saving grace back then.
Man, this bring back memory. Farming MC6 at western cliff with friends. Talk about shit and sometime someone come to buy the service. Just hanging out with ZeedGarurumon and Victory Greymon, the most cheapest but strong mega because they are side mega, not burst mode so we don't drain our DS like water.
I used to play a bit of DMO around 2019 and it was alright? I just followed the "Main-Story" and the only time I actively spend money on it was to get the Item that prevents your eggs from breaking to get Guilmon (still regret that xD) Tho at some point, I couldn't continue the game anymore? The Main-Quest never updated so I didn't know where to go next. So I just stopped. And I think I'm quite glad, I did.
i think its because to continue you 'd need a higher tamer level which you cant get from only doing the main quests you have to go out of your way to hatch and level a new digimon to increase your tamer level and then go back to the main quests
summon gdmo friends moond, ino21, etc..kdmo friends who i helped indo people on 2013 buying cash item..makasi ya mas ganteng..wkwkwkkwwkk.. to mr seraph..thanks coz stand together from beginning to makes me one of the great raider😊
I had left gaming for some time and invested so much in this game only to come back a few y ears ago and lost everything because if server merge or company change ...I lost interest since then ..but I felt so broken up to rhis day
I played since the Global release of the game and stopped after there added Odaiba with there non beatable Dungeons, I played here and there sometimes but never as hard as before, its rly sad to see what there doing with the game since its the only "good" Digimon MMO F to pay respect.
I fking hate the clone system. I was just doing the very first clone and I failed 3 times in a row. The RNG is absolute bs. Even back in the days when they didn't charge m to clone it was expensive. Now that they charge m, it's absolutely a pain. I remember picking up my laptop and tossing it cuz of how bs the cloning system was.
to be honest it was the best digimon game on this planet and it had so much potential but everything was wasted i dont get it like give a digimon more then 2 or 3 skills so u have a good mmorpg and not a pc version of a fake mmo with a lot of gacha. hahaha and do u guys remember the first time this game was released u could only play 2 hours a day man that was a good time yeah and i sold my account with zwart d and no i didnt drop him from lootbox the admins from this game use a bug and sell it to u on their discord xDD man this game was great but scamm at the same time i still wish for a good digimon mmo or even a good gacha for mobile i really wich for it
I've been thinking of getting back in to the game (its beenabout 4 years) and I'm wondering if I should. There are a few questions I have though. Is it safe to play I had a few problems with viruses in the past with the game and I'm wondering if that's fixed. If I do play the game I'm planning on being ftp and wondering if that would work I'm not planning to really doing end game content (never lv up to 99 back in the day). I'm also wondering if old stuff is easier to come by like bm or expansion kits. Sorry for to long comment. Btw this video really came out at the right time for me.
well in the video i kinda described the current sate of the game so its definitely up to you if you're okay with playing the game as it is right now and as for old things like bms yeah they're definitely much easier to obtain but the problem is that they got powercrept heavily a bm back in the day was like tier 2 now its like tier 5 due to much stronger digimons and harder content being added, even if a casual player the game is very grindy by nature so again its is up to you if you're into that or not as for viruses i've never heard of that, i know dmo conflicts with some anti viruses softwere ( which most of anti viruses softwere aren't even safe ) so idk about that tbh
Joymax made stupid restrictions but still a f2p friendly game. GameKing completely destroyed the game and made it one of the most p2w games I have ever seen. I played GDMO for about 6 years since it released and had a lot of fun with it. When the first Lootboxes came into the game, I bought a few and then left the game. About 6 months ago I tried it again and saw what happened to the game I once loved. "Oh you want that cool new Digimon? Try your luck with our 10$ lootboxes that have a 0,1% chance for you to get it." "Oh you want that new Digimon or DNA Evolution? Yeah just spend 500$ within 3 weeks to get it for 100%". I have seen people spending hundreds or even thousands of $ in this game and not getting anything or just a few Digimon. There have even been people in my Guild that used their money that was meant for their new appartment and bought lootboxes instead. The worst thing was someone who actually took a 10k $ credit just for GDMO. The only other game that is worse than GDMO regarding p2w is Diablo Immortal. Even the private server of GDMO is a massive cash grab.
well you got to the digi aura and the jogress chip which are both temporary and run out, you forgot to tell everyone they for a limited time released a permanent version of both which was even more pay to win! 🤣🤣🤣idk how much tera people are selling them now for but thankfully i got them a bit after release.

I liked the uniqueness and diversity it brought from people actually having to invest themselves into getting the things...otherwise I don't see the point in it. I don't see this as "pay to win". Just because things are hard to achieve doesn't mean it's necessary to win. The game is easy without spending a dime. If you mean to say you are used to today's instant gratification and you have to pay extra to achieve instant gratification, then I see the point but maybe the original vibe was to have your one digital partner that you carefully cultivate. Not to just click on random things until you have God at the palm of your hands in thirty seconds but it doesn't mean anything because so does everyone else...but that's just one crazy person's perspective on instant gratification and the futility of those types of games wasting my time with no actual social interaction or critical thinking, patience building skills
In fact, now that I think about it, the only aspect that makes it pay to win is simply the ability to pay at all. If not for that, everyone would be equal footing and the actual pve content is doable with what the game gives.
see the thing is.. its not that things are hard.. its that some are literally impossible without spending money an insane amount of money.. all sss+ are impossible, in no world can f2p players farm 8kt+ for sss+.. its just not possible hence why its pay to win
@@ChadramonDMO well firstly there's literally an event going on right now that nets everyone an SSS but aside from that do you need an sss+ to win? Pay to win means if you don't pay you can't win the game which is usually referring to multi-player where one player pays and another doesn't. Just because they've added something rare, special, cool, and it's impossible to get doesn't mean it's mandatory to win. So now you just have two types of people those who have it and those who don't and and for those who don't have it they either work for it or they don't thus creating uniqueness. Then when you introduce paying you take away that uniqueness and now everyone thinks they HAVE to have it therefore creating an illusion that it's pay to win
@@ChadramonDMO because player a and player b both spend time with the game but they can only spend so much time, right? So player a invests time into Agumon and his Agumon is crazy strong but player b couldn't do that because it was too hard as he was spending all of his time leveling gabubon so now you have two unique players. Then player c paid for both Agumon and gabumon. Now player a and b, instead of celebrating each other's uniqueness and being proud of what they have each won they both think they have lost and that player c had won but yet neither player a, b, or c have a gf. Because someone else was leveling up offline. Such is life.
@@time1523 i say sss+ you say there is an event giving everyone sss lol SSS =\= SSS+ the difference between SSS and sss+ is big enough that certain content ISNT doable without sss+ the "win" in this situation is being able to do the content.. literally the leaderboard in dmo.. aka arena hero mode ISN'T doable without sss+.. you literally CANNOT compete in the leader board without having a sss+.. it is mandatory if you want to do all the game have to offer.. looking content behind $$$ is literally the definition of pay to win pretending that harder content doesn't exist doesn't make the game not pay to win again you're saying "work for it" but its impossible.. you CANT farm 8kt as free to play player.. its not about working for it.. its just no possible within a reasonable amount of time.. it'd take you YEARS to get that much also i completely lost your point on the whole player a vs player b.. what are you talking about? lol
You have the beginning history all wrong, and I mean all wrong, I should know I was one of the original Beta testers, and it wasn't as boring and basis and you make it sound.
thats subjective lol, many people did think it was boring.. i my self and even said it in the video i thought it wasn't boring at all, it was quite fun actually

I do, however, distinctly remember back when they changed the DATS Center map.
Thanks for this video, i was thinkin to come back after 2015, seeing that the game is still trash i wont. Gj on the video =)
Can't believe I played the game from launch up to 2017 Christmas. F2P until my last day which I spent 3mos worth of salary to roll my Miracle and never once got AT AT CD CD roll. Uninstalled and never looked back. Good times
I played the Game so much, but with the X-Digimon System it was over. You had no chance to compete when you dont have X-Digimon.
Damn really going down memory lane, played when Wemade/joymax did the close beta and now whenever I try to log in, it says "hacking email" really don't know what happened haha. Hate to see how a good game became complete doo doo
39:37 Thanks for the mention . Nice video bdw .
the problem with DMO is they dont know what content to put in this game, it feel random all the time.
true xD
I've been playing it since I was 12 years old and now I'm 22 years old :)
Oil3 used to be the best spot to leveling into 46 and now oil3 is emptied😢
2018 was when I stopped playing the game. Though ... if the game lasts long enough, maybe I'll come back some day in the future.
I still remember the arenas. They were really cool and fun.
I have to admit, that "chess" game looks kinda cool.
I'd like to try out Super Rumble if it gets released outside Korea. Though, atm I can't play it anyway, so ... 🤷
arena you remember who got number 1with one million point... haha..its my lil brother..so hardworking player😂
I did the quest for Omnimon, holy shit let me tell you haha.. I thought one small favour on runescape was bad.
Cool video, I enjoyed it very much!
Glad to hear that!
Hey 2019 is the time i got banned XD
from playing clean since 2012 to 2019 where i got to work as an adult. i tried to bot for a week..
despite of the game allowing rampant bots since 2012.... when I tried at 2019 they set a ban hammer XD
well, it was bitter-sweet.
It was my only saving grace back then.
oh i thought i did mention that you can get jogress ship from idgn? but maybe i forgot to add it xD
@@ChadramonDMO tbf, it was like that back when the dungeon was new. i figured they wouldn't change that, but i could be wrong
Man, this bring back memory. Farming MC6 at western cliff with friends. Talk about shit and sometime someone come to buy the service.
Just hanging out with ZeedGarurumon and Victory Greymon, the most cheapest but strong mega because they are side mega, not burst mode so we don't drain our DS like water.
haha..at the cliff always come stealer.. mc card stealer.. shouting arguing...some memories😅
Dude u forget put dungeon infinite and how it was fun to be rank 1 and take the card and make a epic CD xD
-NRMEN 🎉
true, people used to compete on who can get #1 in the raid xD
but as i said i didn't include everything otherwise that video would be even longer
Esmeel hii
Funny enough my favorite digimon games are missing some digimon that this game has ….like even fan games
i love this game so much, but the "pay to win" and "grind to death" making me hate this game more than loving it 😩
I used to play a bit of DMO around 2019 and it was alright? I just followed the "Main-Story" and the only time I actively spend money on it was to get the Item that prevents your eggs from breaking to get Guilmon (still regret that xD)
Tho at some point, I couldn't continue the game anymore? The Main-Quest never updated so I didn't know where to go next. So I just stopped. And I think I'm quite glad, I did.
i think its because to continue you 'd need a higher tamer level which you cant get from only doing the main quests
you have to go out of your way to hatch and level a new digimon to increase your tamer level and then go back to the main quests
summon gdmo friends moond, ino21, etc..kdmo friends who i helped indo people on 2013 buying cash item..makasi ya mas ganteng..wkwkwkkwwkk.. to mr seraph..thanks coz stand together from beginning to makes me one of the great raider😊
thank you for this video!
Yeah, after seen the last of Re:World D, i say, this need an actualization
I had left gaming for some time and invested so much in this game only to come back a few y ears ago and lost everything because if server merge or company change ...I lost interest since then ..but I felt so broken up to rhis day
Hatch back ups also only went up to level 4 back then
nah there is 2 types of hatch back up
Hatch back up 4 and 5, 5 was always more rare
Ayo this is so nostalgic
I played since the Global release of the game and stopped after there added Odaiba with there non beatable Dungeons, I played here and there sometimes but never as hard as before, its rly sad to see what there doing with the game since its the only "good" Digimon MMO F to pay respect.
a thank you from all the little spenders for making this video
Btw this video really came out at the right time for me.
well in the video i kinda described the current sate of the game so its definitely up to you if you're okay with playing the game as it is right now
and as for old things like bms yeah they're definitely much easier to obtain but the problem is that they got powercrept heavily
a bm back in the day was like tier 2
now its like tier 5 due to much stronger digimons and harder content being added, even if a casual player the game is very grindy by nature so again its is up to you if you're into that or not
as for viruses i've never heard of that, i know dmo conflicts with some anti viruses softwere ( which most of anti viruses softwere aren't even safe ) so idk about that tbh
@@ChadramonDMO thanks that really helps out
Nice content❤
Joymax made stupid restrictions but still a f2p friendly game.
GameKing completely destroyed the game and made it one of the most p2w games I have ever seen.
I played GDMO for about 6 years since it released and had a lot of fun with it.
When the first Lootboxes came into the game, I bought a few and then left the game.
About 6 months ago I tried it again and saw what happened to the game I once loved.
"Oh you want that cool new Digimon? Try your luck with our 10$ lootboxes that have a 0,1% chance for you to get it."
"Oh you want that new Digimon or DNA Evolution? Yeah just spend 500$ within 3 weeks to get it for 100%".
I have seen people spending hundreds or even thousands of $ in this game and not getting anything or just a few Digimon.
There have even been people in my Guild that used their money that was meant for their new appartment and bought lootboxes instead.
The worst thing was someone who actually took a 10k $ credit just for GDMO.
The only other game that is worse than GDMO regarding p2w is Diablo Immortal.
Even the private server of GDMO is a massive cash grab.
I have account with 1stAnniversary title in lucemon server xD
Great Content
2017 was the start of the end
Look how they killed our childhood
true lol , I was a tester for the global version
yo empecé cuando el mapa mas nuevo era desert y aun no existían ni las armor :')
If the remastered version does get released within a year the game's gonna be dead
well you got to the digi aura and the jogress chip which are both temporary and run out, you forgot to tell everyone they for a limited time released a permanent version of both which was even more pay to win! 🤣🤣🤣idk how much tera people are selling them now for but thankfully i got them a bit after release.
feels bad to live in UK.. I'd love to play a digimon mmo but i just... can't. very irritating.
Quede loco con que le hayan puesto una forma x - antibody a dorugamon
Its sad, I've tried to play off and on the last year and yeah the power creep and the loot boxes are just bad.
yeah rip :"(

Since many ppl cannot play because of the country ban like me, does anyone know any alternatives to this game?
if you dont want to use a vpn to bypass the country ban, then i guess your only option is to play other single player digimons games like next order or cyber sleuth or survive
or wait for the english release for digimon new century
@@ChadramonDMO give me a good tutorial for a vpn, i know Softether since i used it before for different game but idk about anything else.

Idk why but nor i can sign my email to the site, nor i can download the game (also it disappeared from steam…). Whats wrong?
IP ban. Only American and Canadian players can access both the website and the game. You might be able to use a VPN in order to bypass it but I'd rather not do that since I don't want to support that comoany anymore.
@@aikou2886 😂😂 thats make no sense, why ban every IP eccept americans?!
@@Dukemon94 Because gDMO because NADMO so only people in the north American region can have access. This all started with the notched international release for Digimon RPG, which turned into NA Digimon RPG due to legal reasons.

@@ChadramonDMO look again lol
If not for that, everyone would be equal footing and the actual pve content is doable with what the game gives.
see the thing is.. its not that things are hard.. its that some are literally impossible without spending money an insane amount of money.. all sss+ are impossible, in no world can f2p players farm 8kt+ for sss+.. its just not possible
hence why its pay to win
@@time1523 i say sss+ you say there is an event giving everyone sss lol
SSS =\= SSS+
the difference between SSS and sss+ is big enough that certain content ISNT doable without sss+
the "win" in this situation is being able to do the content.. literally the leaderboard in dmo.. aka arena hero mode ISN'T doable without sss+.. you literally CANNOT compete in the leader board without having a sss+.. it is mandatory if you want to do all the game have to offer.. looking content behind $$$ is literally the definition of pay to win
pretending that harder content doesn't exist doesn't make the game not pay to win
again you're saying "work for it" but its impossible.. you CANT farm 8kt as free to play player.. its not about working for it.. its just no possible within a reasonable amount of time.. it'd take you YEARS to get that much
also i completely lost your point on the whole player a vs player b.. what are you talking about?
