I forgot to add a little tip about lubing the bike chains. Spray the lube onto the inside face of the links, not the exterior as i've seen Steve do. That way the lube is pushed into the links by the centrifugal forces instead of flying straight off the outside as you speed up. Safe ride.
Good ride guys. Especially the "back seat driving", coming into Narrandera! lol. It's always good to enjoy the solitude on inland roads, even though they may sometimes seem a little boring.
Great series, love watching you guys gunna miss your adventures. My wife and I also ride, but she is the passenger, I can't get her to get her license, she says that she enjoys sitting on the back. We have been of some adventures from Mesa AZ, to Canada, and all over the country. I take my hat off to you. Your adventures have been great to watch. Stay safe
It's meeeeee! (And Sharon!) It was great to meet you guys there in Echuca. Small world! It certainly is a long way across NSW from there to the QLD border. How crazily big was the Deni Ute Muster! That was huge! I think we saw the same Emu. You were a few hours behind us but the exact same route. We also stopped for some emus between Conargo and Jerilderie and then stopped for maybe an hour in Jerilderie for all the Ned Kelly historical sites. I was actually wondering if you guys might pass us when we were stopped there so I was looking out for you. We stopped for fuel and food at the roadhouse just south of Narranderra and whilst there the heavens opened up so we had to get changed into our wet weather gear. Then the sun came out again 10 minutes later but I do remember looking at those same rain clouds out to the right as we were heading north. Yep, we passed those 2 truck crashes as well. We made it to Parkes that night in the wet another storm front came in around Forbes. Great memories for me in this one!
Hey guys!! Thanks properly for your comments and sharing your story of the same road. I (Nic) am having road withdrawals big time at the moment!! Too wet to ride, and we finally washed the bikes so now they are almost too clean to ride!! Yes, that Ute Muster was crazy......we were looking out for you too but figured you must have been hightailing it home!
I'm actually only up to Ep 5 but I thought I'd jump ahead to ask a question - where did you get the bike covers? They look light weight and assume would pack fairly small. I have a heavy one when in the garage but it's too bulky to use on a trip.......Love the series so far. Cheers.
Hey Geoff, we got them from Supercheap Auto. I think they were under $50 each. They do the trick and are light and easy to carry 👍 Thanks for your comment and hope you enjoy the journey! 🏍🍻🏍
I love your choice of music in the videos. Great beats. 🎸🎼
Good timing. Wise choice. :)
Guest appearance by MrAusAdventure, another Vstrom advocate. Definitely a good call on the weather.
Yes it was me! I just randomly happened to roll into town and out of all the motels in Echuca, booked the room next to these guys!

A catch up. Truck crashes. Not good.
