Japanese are just that trustful tbh. Fake items are almost always labeled as "overseas product" and buyee flags them. I've never received anything that wasn't as described. Look at pictures of items. You can request buyee to reach out to sellers to provide more pics if you need as well. Sellers also have ratings on Yahoo Auction and Mercari. Buyee flags "Recommended" sellers as well. These are usually stores like Book Off.
