If it were me, I'd take the rear seat out and sit on the bench to the right to use the tiller. Can always quickly mount the seat after you stop if you want to use it fishing.
Excellent vid young man!! Audio was good and the items you mentioned on the boat are educational. I totally agree on the trolling motor, steering with one foot and balancing on the other is the fast lane to a dunking.... consider a "foot well" that will recess the foot control into the front deck....
Thank you! I’m glad it was useful to your endeavors. I have considered a foot tray unfortunately it would not fit with the cross beam support in the bow and that is why you generally do not see trackers with them or at least in this case the 1548.
Thanks for sharing. I have a Minn Kota Powerdive 2 with an iPilot on my 2016 Grizzly 1548 MVX. Couple of issues with the Powerdive V2 as well. It seems I have to unplug and replug the motor because it stops working. Seems very temperamental. I just bought a Marino ConnectPro plug and receptacle to see if that will help me out. The second issue is my fault. I chose a trolling motor that uses a servo (s) to rotate. Seems very loud when I’m bass fishing in confined spots. I really should have gone with my original idea of a Maxxum / foot pedal.
Man, love the videos... I started watching because I am looking for a small catfishing boat. I’ve looked at excel, gator tail, gatortrax, Lund, tracker, etc.... I’m not looking to spend a small fortune. These boats seem to be in my price range!
Good review! Can you take that rear seat off and put it up front and just get a sports cushion from walmart for the back? I agree that they put it right where it shouldn't be. I'm looking at the 1648 I think it is.
Yes you certainly can I ended up putting another pedestal mount plate farther to the side as well to make things more convenient and the boat nicer to drive.
I've had my T grizz since 17. Hard winter waterfowl hunting every year since and keeping it a slip. The foam has become water logged and I've lost performance due to increased weight. Tracker/white water marine are of zero help. They recommend I contact a dealer. Why would I pay to have someone tell me what I already know. I just need a see thru hull pic. I ended up also making a cover to enclose the switching panel.
(After watching your first video last year!) I bought the same boat/motor in plain green and wonder if the motor is mounted too high. Mine is mounted like yours.
Dang alright, I have this same boat. Bought it used with only a couple hours on it, never been able to get it passed 10mph. Finally took it to a shop and they are telling me it's over propped... but as far as I know, it's a factory prop
I think the interior design is decent but I wouldn’t mind a bit for open deck space in the rear with seat pods/storage on each side so it is more comfortable to drive

Glad to help!
Really great video my friend. You do a really great job on your product quality. And you are very thorough .
Thank you, I am glad you enjoy it. I am learning more over time and will continue to try and improve.

@@BuckcreekTV Thanks. The boat look like a lot of fun.
It certainly is, I've been on many adventures and I think the boat will last for many years to come.
Any transducer problems with the float pods in the way?
I haven’t had any
Was wondering the same

What pitch prop is on your mercury
(After watching your first video last year!)
I bought the same boat/motor in plain green and wonder if the motor is mounted too high.
Mine is mounted like yours.
It seems to be mounted at the correct height. I have wondered if a jack plate would help though.
If you still have this... Please tell me what prop size and pitch you are running.
Unfortunately I do not have that outboard anymore

The 25 is a bit underpowered on this boat they should run a pretty shallow pitch prop with just me at WOT no gear I only got to 25-27 mph
Did you remove foam?
I did not
I would flush mount the foot pad . Then put 2 micro power poles on the back . Turn off the trolling motor and become a hole in the water .
Is the max hp rating 25? I have an 08 1548 grizzly blind duck edition and its rated for 40 max.
25 max unfortunately
Nice review and boat!
Thanks!
How much this rig cost
I believe for the boat please everything I had added to it (bunk sliders, trailer poles, fish finder, trolling motor, etc. around 12k a few years ago.
I like it 👌😏
I like the build quality of the Tracker Jon boats but the interior designs suck IMHO.
I think the interior design is decent but I wouldn’t mind a bit for open deck space in the rear with seat pods/storage on each side so it is more comfortable to drive
That boat can take a 60 hp outboard
