Hi everyone!
I have been wanting to update the paint in our downstairs living room for years and I finally decided now was the time!
I had a few hiccups with the colour selection process but in the end I am very happy with the outcome! I hope by sharing my mistakes I can save someone else from making some of their own!
In case you are wondering what colour I finaly ended up using, it’s called “Bleeker Beige” by Benjamin Moore!

Love that colour Cher. You really did your homework. And using a colourist from Benjamin Moore was a great idea. Your home looks so bright and airy. Love their paints. It is the only paint that we buy. I find their staff so helpful. Hope you are safe from the fires. Please keep us updated.

Sorry for the confusion, the downstairs of our condo is actually a suite but we don’t rent it out and my almost 19 year old daughter has basically taken it over! It’s nice to have the extra space especially when we get company we have somewhere nice for them to stay! 😉

The painting turmoil is real ! I have been 2 years trying to pick a colour. I got tired of painting patches and then I taped the squares to the walls to see it in the different lights during different times of the day and the different seasons. I have gotten so discouraged that I simply gave up. Maybe you have inspired me to try again ! Thanks for sharing this video.
Awwww I can totally relate! I am so glad I enlisted the help of a professional colourist, she was so knowledgeable and took into consideration the look and feel I was trying to achieve to pick the perfect colour that would work in my space! Cher you did a great job! It turned out beautiful! We pianted not to long ago. Most of our house was painted a color called oatmeal cookie. Some in seahorse tan. We love our choices. Enjoy!!! 😊

Turned out very nice! I have to decide what color to do my kitchen and living room. I will have to get some small sample size cans and put some on poster board to decide like you showed. Love your decorating. Thanks for the video.

Sorry for the late reply! We did not have any fires burning in our town this time but some not far from us and others in our region were hit very hard and many homes were lost sadly……
Love the way your room turned out, very pretty. Nothing better than a Fresh coat of paint on your walls.
I narrow the color to just a couple and then I buy sample paints. I paint sheets of notebook paper and place them on different walls. Then I stepped back and choose one😍. Behr paint is my favorite paint to to use for indoor and outdoor ❤.

Great colour choice!. It looks so soft and has a lovely warm feel about it. Love your little coffee table and the mirror looks awesome too !. It's nice to see someone else likes to have carpet over the laminate/wood floors. We have carpet in both the living room and the tv room. Being that it's a Berber carpet it is so durable. It's only the two of us, and we love the warmth and coziness of having carpet. Your home is lovely, and a has a beautiful coziness to it. Thanks for sharing my friend. 💞
Awwww thanks my friend! I love the look and feel of carpet too, brings a level of coziness and a warmness you can’t get from wood or laminate flooring for sure! We have ceramic tile and hardwood floors upstairs and it has a completely different feel from downstairs, I much prefer the coziness of the ground level!!😉 Hope you are keeping cool during this crazy heatwave!🥵🥵🥵 I am enjoying the AC and keeping busy with indoor projects! Looks awesome! Im getting ready to paint my bathroom and it can give a person some anxiety and frustration picking the right color. Its only paint but no one wants to waste money and time for a redo.
Thanks Cheryl! I don’t know what vibe you are going for in your bathroom but the colour I just painted 2 of our bathrooms is called Sea Salt by Shermin Williams and we love it! I’m even thinking of painting our bedroom in it now because I love it so much!! It’s a very pretty light green/blue, very calming and spa like!!! Happy painting!!! 😘

Awwww thanks for your concern! I just posted an update! The fires are getting very close scary once again in our area! So far we are ok but it is a very volatile situation that can change very quickly! The next few days are going to be very critical! Mother Nature is not working in our favour! 😢
