Recently I made a halloween custom Zaku, using a spare Char kit I had (figured it would be better than just using it for parts) and another green Zaku II kit. panted it orange and black and the weapons were given a white, orange and yellow color scheme.
The decals are crazy on Char's Zaku II but the Tri-Stars that I bought yesterday doesn't have decals as much as Char's, kind of dissapointing but it came with Giant Heat Hawk and transparent base and effect.
I still love the old 2013 HGUC Black Tristar ....the color scheme is more darker, the power cable is solid black, and all the weapons could be attached on the shield, though it lack of details and poor articulations, but it comes with decals too.... but nice review anyway :) peace... V
I definitely agree with your take here. I certainly prefer the colors of the HGUC MSV Black Tri-Star kit (both the darker blue-black and the more lavender tone of purple), as well as the MSV-styled commander fin. I built both of the Origins versions (with this one in the Gaia configuration), and then built the HGUC MSV one to round out the trio as Mash's, with the commander fin on it. Best way to get a full set of Black Tri-Stars Zaku II's in 1/144 scale without resorting to P-Bandai for the RG, in my opinion. None of them are particularly expensive (I think the Ortega's Custom Origin Version is the most expensive of the three around $27 USD), and if you build this one in the Gaia configuration and put a commander fin on one of the other two, they are all three visually distinct from each other at a glance, even before you add any decals. Plus, as you said, the HGUC MSV one's shield mount for all the weapons is incredibly cool. It's one of my favorite 1/144 scale Zakus (and I have like 20 right now, I think).
Might just wait for the Ortega variant to be released and I'm thinking of kit bashing all three of them together to make a custom with a load of accessorizes.
Playing with Digimon vpet you can order from shopee. i ordered my char zaku ii origin ver from wasabitoys in shopee. they offer cash on delivery there.
the heat hawk is suppose to go onto the side skirt with the handle pointing up at about a 45 degree angle.
The design of the legs is really nice !
just built this it last night it was a joy to put together
thanks for pointing out the extras on this kit, i will be adding them to the zaku 1, kycillias forces type when it comes out

I would love to see that, I love the design of the zaku and love Halloween
Definitely gonna get one of these for my custom Zaku squad.
Holy crap thanks for bringing up the extra parts
No problem! Enjoy!
I’m gonna make a Char’s High Mobility Zaku ver Custom, out of this
i want to customize this one into Shin Matsunaga version aka the White Wolf/White Zaku...
it looks like shockwave
Joe Bowditch Agreed.
I think the Dom looks more like shockwave
Yep... he’s my favorite decepticon... Animated is the best one... then Prime... why am I gushing about transformers in a gundam review?
Joe Bowditch I don’t see it.
Illogical

I agree, that HGUC kit is nicer in a lot of ways!

fuck i need those new Origin Zakus... More Zakus for my Zeon Collection!!
I'm gonna buy two Mash/ Gaia sets so I don't have to choose one over the other, also gonna get the Ortega set.
Full black tri star😁😁
I’ll repaint Char’s Zaku II into Garma’s colors ❤️
The power cable on the head is upside down
i want to make this kit with double bazookas haha, would you do a rereview how its held up years later?
Might just wait for the Ortega variant to be released and I'm thinking of kit bashing all three of them together to make a custom with a load of accessorizes.
For High Grade, it's very Nice
"stickers here and here you'll have trouble with" my good friends hobby paint might have something to say about that
Does this kit have the part from the char custom version where you can put the command fin on the head
+LizardMan8675309 Yes!
Am I the only one who thinks the Zaku is the coolest mobile suit?
Thank You
Are all zaku arms connection peices to the torso ball jointed???
not EVERY HG Zaku kit.
Like???
If it's something too hard to Google, it's probably something that's a burden to answer.
Is any body worried a Gaia having bazooka ammo on his shield, and machine gun ammo right under super hot thrusters?
Th3Ep1cL1z0
d Bazooka ammo on the shield makes sense as the explosion when hit wouldn't damage the actual Mobile Suit itself.
Agreed, it's the safest place to put it.
Not to mention these guys were zooming around so quick they barely got hit
Can the Black tri-star variant equip the long rifle on the side of it's back just like the Char variant can?
Ensosuketaka No, the HM backpack has no ports on the side for loading anything onto it.
Looks like a great kit! How well do you think the rifle will fit with the RG zaku?
Have you found the answer ? :))
Can you put the bazooka on the side of the back pack since it has an accessory to attach it?
Joseph de Sales no it doesn’t have a peg to put the bazooka on
Does it come with a normal zaku 2 legs without the thrusters?
no
does it have a full inner frame?
+xiao junhao Not full, but it's close.
xiao junhao Only RG, MG and PG kits have an inner frame, but the Origin Zaku kits almost have a full frame.
Cr33p3rKid Most ibo kits have full inner frames
baopingg At the time i commented, i forgot about the IBO kits having a frame.
If they made a high mobility zaku the origin version
Then WHY
Why is there no Johnny riddens specification high mobility zaku.
Simple.
Johnny doesn't appear in MSG : The Origin.
@@EungsuLee this is true, but i still question it.
Where can I buy gunplay online with cash on delivery btw I'm 13 so I don't have a bank account also I'm from the Philippines
Playing with Digimon vpet you can order from shopee. i ordered my char zaku ii origin ver from wasabitoys in shopee. they offer cash on delivery there.
I should have waited for this one instead of buying the Char one ...
Ammo/clip...
I will feed you your parents.
