Omg. I said the same thing practically. "They've been wearing those snow camo pants since time immemorial. They FINALLY have a video where they work. I'm so glad."

The masters of simplicity and consistency.
P.S I have seen it all but none will hear my story is a tragic truth not just pertaining to this event but in general to all those who served but never came home.

I often climbed in the Alps and since I've heard this Song the first time I'm asking me how much fallen were covered under the Ice on the routes I climbed on. For me it's a feeling of disturbing the rest of this brave men. If I climb in the future in the Alps I will take much more respect with me not for the Mountains only like before now the same respect for the fallen to

Great new sabaton song, catchy story, catchy chorus, and yes a bit fresh thinking with those electronics, without leaving the basic Sabaton sound..

The general estimates make "white friday" (which was a wednesday) the deadliest snow/ice avalanche in history, and the second-worst if you include mudslides and debris.
Also, the avalanches were triggered on purpose by both parties firing artillery into the unstable snow banks above the enemy baracks.

Excellent to see you, welcome aboard! I don't want to say Sabaton has an army, but we sure as hell will not leave this unseen. Myself, one thing I like very much is how considerate you are. It's a breath of fresh air, for me, to see both good-heartedness and reservation. I think I'll like your videos.
One thing I liked, in the video, was that when the fallen serviceman saluted Joakim, said salute was not returned. That's a nice touch - to the best of my understanding, the salute is a gesture of honorable respect. It isn't an absolutely-do-not-do-it type of thing, but civilians aren't meant to be saluting all the same. Joakim's raise of the chin is a very fine reply to it.

I call it Manowar beat. Though if you have any guitar player in you Chris nails that solo with emotional and tech level.

There's been some discussion if the synth-track is meant to emulate older italian "Discopop".
Also, by the end, is Joakim marching backwards or did they just loop his footage?
(On a side-note, I think it's interesting that the second pair of aircraft are 2nd World War era planes, because the dead up there really have seen both wars come and go.

I think the synth sound emulates the echoing throughout the mountains. Pretty creative if that’s true.

In an interview (can't remember which one), Chris mentioned that he brought the synth sound to Joakim, who said no, it was too 80s. Then, after thinking about it, Joakim changed his mind.

@@merryrose6788 I was 6-14 yo in the 80s. Obviously I got synthed to death but I still like hearing it when it’s done right. I’m glad Chris changed Joakim’s mind, because it really sounds like the echoing thru mountains to me. Have a good one.
