I feel like in that moment she would have taken his hand if the resistance wasn't about to be demolished, you could see it in her eyes, she wanted to stay with him but it just wasn't the right time and she knew she was about to break his heart ....

Honestly, I think it was less that she knew that she was going to break his heart, and more that he had broken hers. Him asking her to let the resistance die, and to join him in ruling the First Order was in complete contradiction to why she came. Him killing Snoke gave her hope that he could be turned from the Dark Side, and him asking her to join him there ripped all that away; informing her that even when he had the chance at a clean slate and no one to manipulate him, he would still *choose* the Dark Side.
I don't think she would have ever taken his hand in that context. That's not to say that she wouldn't want to be on the same side; but I don't think Rey is the type who would ever turn on her friends - which, whether the Resistance was in trouble that moment or not, was exactly what Kylo was asking her to do.
Y'all we went from "You know I can take whatever I want" to "Rey, join me... please?"

The coolest thing about it - that it doesn't even need to convince people of reylo - it's all there - everything that is shown was in the movie; was just fitting - so perfect

Movies are more than visuals. The film clearly fell apart at the writers table.
If not for the compelling story these visuals would mean nothing.

@Catherine H. you know we're talking about editing here right? No matter your stance on diversity there are several departments in producing a film and the editing team of star wars is one part of the films that don't deserve this nonsense

This is a work of art! I love the bit you edited with quote "you're still holding on, let go" timed with Rey dropping the light-saber in the Praetorian guard fight. Just brilliant!

I usually don't comment on RUclips, but I logged in just to do this: HOLY SHIT THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING VIDEO I'VE EVER SEEN. Editing is flawless. I love minimalistic it is. I've never liked the videos with a ton of transitions and such, so this is just absolutely perfect. You didn't need to use fancy transitions or anything, but you still somehow made every cut completely and utterly perfect. I'm literally so astounded. Amazing work! Subscribing so hopefully I'll see more of you!

Sorry but this was utter perfection, the sounds relating to the scenes and strikes landing when the beat drops, literally the most perfect Rey and Kylo edit I have ever seen! The “no no you’re still holding on” right as she dropped the lightsaber? Actual perfection! It was so beautifully made I had to watch it more than once! ❤️❤️❤️

I prefer edits like this to normal ship edits where it’s a lot more upbeat. This is so intelligent and unique, the song fitting perfectly.
Totally agree. Reylo inherently is so angsty and emotionally intense and the song just compounds that factor.

Please remake it with the same soundtrack and add the GORGEOUS scenes they had together in The Rise of the Skywalker when it comes out in viewable quality. Like, you owe it to the internet! :) This is the best video of them but it has to be completed! PLEEEEEEEEEEASSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Dude. PROPS!!!! ON EVERY SINGLE EDITING DETAIL THERE IS ABOUT THIS VIDEO, OMFG!!!! Okay. When he says "I see it" then you see the ocean nd he says " i see the island" nd you see the island! Like omfg the perfection in that! And then he says "let go" then Rey let's the lightsaber drop into her other hand- holy shit!!! Omfg the voice over when they're fighting- amazing work!!! This felt like it could have been a real trailer if i didn't already know the movie isn't just about those 2 characters. The whole thing gave me goosebumps. It pumped me tf up!!! PHENOMENAL WORK! UUUUUGHHHHH. I wanna watch this when I'm high.

I see so many people dismiss them , and a lot of it is because of the scene after the fight where he calls her “nothing” But, in my mind, that is him telling her that, even though she comes form nothing and wouldn’t normally be seen as someone “important”, he knows that she is special and has incredible potential, even though he may have at first been planning to use it for evil. Whatever I just love them

The lightsaber fighting scenes editing was PERFECT. i don't know if there is a better word for it but i can't find it. HOLY SHIT man. i can't get enough of it. I have been a Reylo shipper since the first movie at the part where Ben Solo removed his helmet and Rey's face changed. That scene is very iconic. I have seen MANY different Reylo videos, and I can honestly say that this one is by far the best. The music goes well with the video, the voice overs are beautifully done. I have chills. Well done 👏🏼

And when he says "but not to me" they start fighting together I lost it, i can't aaaah. Nd there's a lot more, oml. When he says "please" my little heart just can't 😭. But I like that it was left on an undecided note cuz we're not exactly sure if Rey will choose Ben.

I think Ben wanted Rey to believe she was nobody because he new the burden of family names and legacies...imagine if Rey had known hers at the beginning, she’d have stood no chance. Ben did want her to turn but not sith... but turn towards him. Towards a more ..grey Jedi. I mean yes he did bad things but he was always good at the same time it was strange. He had rage but never like his grandfather he was always more like his uncle Luke. He knew what he was doing was bad, he never truly got lost in it. Like when a good child rebels against their parents but deep down they know they shouldn’t. Like when a child is groomed into a gang and is told to murder someone to prove their loyalty and they do it but then that’s what changes them and makes them realise their mistakes, that was legit Ben.

As a kid I only liked Star Wars because of the LEGO Xbox game. But I never really watched it. But I saw this amazing edit, of them and it attracted my attention. So I spent 4 hours watching the movies but with just them.
