      Robert Hilt These are alternative forms of the past tense and past participle of the verb learn. Both are acceptable, but learned is often used in both British English and American English, while learnt is much more common in British English than in American English. Get over yourself grammar nazi. Who goes to youtube to correct shit that's not even wrong yo, get a clue before you try call others out.

    The broken glass went right through the bread and cut my hand! There was blood everywhere, so I got in the shower, but the salty grapefruit steam made the cuts burn. So I scrubbed the shower down with a freshly microwaved sponge, but the surviving 1% of the sponge germs got in my cuts and finally killed me.

    I know another hack that's pretty useful to know. If you put something hot, such as a cup with hot coffee, or a plate with hot food , on a wooden table and it leaves a white stain, grab your hairdryer and blow it on the hottest setting for as long as it needs to disappear. It doesn't work on fake wood, or glazed wood, but I tried it twice and it worked like a charm!!

      but don't use both together to wash/clean your fruit and vegetables, because they cancel each other out. Use baking soda to remove pesticides and then use vinegar to kill bacteria and fungus.... you wouldn't mix bleach with ammonia would you?. I wouldn't trust the wisdom of anybody who recommends MIXING vinegar (acidic) with baking soda (alkaline), it won't blow you up, but it is pretty useless.

    I'm beginning to think that "Life Hacks" should be renamed: "What poor people have done because they don't have enough money to buy all the products that everyone else uses" hacks. On almost every "Life Hack" video, I simply see what people have figured out when they didn't have a lot of money lying around.

    Tip 26: Burn down your house and move elsewhere.
    Sometimes, it's the only solution, especially when you don't have vinegar, baking soda, grapefruits, spare bread....

    • @mrs8629
      @mrs8629 8 лет назад +4

      +Danny Delusion If you don't have & can't even buy vinegar, baking soda, or bread, then you can't *afford* to live in a house... it's probably not even your house, you're a squatter! Just walk out the back jack, and find a new dumpster to sleep in ;-)

    The trick for cleaning silverware also works with Iron and Copper (Ref: Pauling's scale of electronegativity of the elements)
    Also, baking soda is not acutally not necessary when cleaning silverware! The idea is based on transferring electrons between metals, and salt is really good at performing this task on its own.

    Do you think baking soda paste (used for vomit) would work on pet poop ? First I use a wide putty knife(or even kitchen spatula - YUK) to edge UNDER poop (Or any semisolid spill -- Don't push IN to the carpet.) & wipe blade w/ P-towel. Then for residual -- maybe use baking soda paste? Worth a try. Thanks for list

    Foreman and similar grills: Just wipe them off with a paper towel IMMEDIETELY after use. I'm on year 17 of my current one, surface is as good as new, still non stick. Only took it apart to clean all the accumulated grease in the unwipable areas.

    I took the sponge in the microwave a bit further. Put the sponge in a bowl mixed lemon juice and water. Start microwave until it boils and let it sit in the microwave for a few minutes with the door closed until its steamy inside. Then remove bowl with sponge inside and wipe the microwave. The microwave smell clean and fresh so will the sponge and your sink once you pour the hot mixture in it

    Vinegar separately , and ammonia separately are natural disinfectants. You don't have to use bleach all the time. Ammonia and water mixed with some dishwashing (liquid) (just a little) also works wonders on your tile floors and cleans your glass or windows.... works great
