This seems like the most helpful video I've seen on here relating to actually progressing in Poe2. You've given us a place to farm if we get stuck on the act 1 boss, a way to gear up in the middle of act 2, AND a way to farm up the END of act 2 in preparation of act 3. I'm going to use these spots in Cruel difficulty as the mobs health and damage has ramped up substantially and I was looking for places to farm.

This is a great video. I’ve seen so many complaints about loot, but I’m feeling like the less loot has made my brain focus much more on the gameplay, where PoE 1 kind of just felt like being at a camp and playing crafting slot machines. Then, in my opinion, I haven’t had a ton of trouble with loot in this game. I’ve definitely got a little lucky but if I have a rarity gear equipped I usually leave a map with half an inventory of rares. I’ve only had to craft a weapon on one character in act two to really bump some damage but otherwise have not got stuck by loot at all. I definitely don’t have a ton of exalts, but if my weapon works I enjoy playing the maps and not being worried about making sure I have the most optimized op weapon or whatever. A few good stats, cool. Let’s go have some fun.

It's throwing people off with how different it is. :/ I think tri said it best "Should have named it wreaclast or something" This to me is more like diablo 2 then poe 1 in a lot of ways. Dont Forget the Mausoleum of the Praetor, the treasure there is pretty good, two yellow chests and like 250 to 400 gold each time, on the map its like forgotten treasure or something like that.

Also a good farm spot I found was the Ritual in Hunting Grounds.... the check point is right there and you usually find a blue pack and/or rare mob and the chance for rare and magic chests to spawn in the immediate area. it's ACT 1
The problem with farming early is, you will over level easily because we are all loot goblins!! Edit: I forgot to say, I am normally over leveled from just playing.
Yeah especially since the zones are so massive. If you are full clearing each zone and slow playing just cruising then you will need very limited additional farming. But RNG can be a pain sometimes and mistakes do happen so nice to have options.
Lol sockets for early game addsso much survivability and dmg! As soon as I realized we could farm artificer orbs it was a real game changer for my progression.
"face tanking" bosses as a ranged character is a lot like what you see in FF14. the only difference in this game is that the telegraphed attacks aren't as well advertised because they don't show you the red areas on the ground as much.
Never played ff14 myself it was the same concept you say? Depending on player distance the moves et and aggro of boss would vary? That's a cool idea but definately harder to balance as players will simply just find the easier moveset of the 2 distances. Ggg has a tough few months ahead of them for sure. :D
Theres also that giant rare beetle boss that summons tiny beetles. I got so nany exalts farming it for xp and loot for a few hours. Only got 1 unique from it sadly. But really good rare and currency, and the small beetles give good xp. After you kill it you have to unearth the body so it can respawn when you reset to waypoint.
Forgot to mention it in the video but the final zone is also a great spot to find level 8 spirit gems. These currently are selling for 6 or 7 exalts each and that is more than enough to buy you some decent starter gear to carry you all the way to maps. Gl guys! Lmk if there's anything specific your confused about and ill try to get some videos pumped out for ya!
Sorc has some decent builds but still early and more balance to come for sure. Give it a week or 2. The tryhards will find a crazy new tech or sorc will get some love.

Absolutely! Tailwind acendency node also gives a bunch of movespeed and the passive nodes that give movespeed are generally also quite valuable with thier other stats and in good locations for easy drive by pickups to other good nodes.

@muppetarms8406 i would HIGHLY recommend checking out fubguns LA build. I just swapped to it and it's very strong. If you can't manage to pull that build off then consider fubguns magnetic salvo build it is a great bossing build but a little clunky in speed clearing maps.
Me being a dark souls veteran just casually beating every boss I come across first try lmao. I'm in act two now and have yet to come across anything challenging. Maybe Mercenary is op right now or maybe I just like walking backwards alot. I dunno.
Lol maybe a combo of both. There were 2 points in act 2 I got nearly hard stuck on as the "diffficulty" scales WAY up. The issue was running out of potions. If you get the regin a charge every 0.X seconds mod on your flasks the boss fights get way more manageable. Game is a battle if attrition sometimes for sure
Lol same I'm a d4 player and all the talk about how much better this game would be and how hard it is in comparison I beat every boss by myself until jamanra the abomination so far that's the only boss that was a problem

@Mystra agreed. Deffinately needs a bit of a balance imo. I'm sure ggg will either reduce low level respec costs or potentially increase sell price. Gold is a new concept to poe so a bit expected that it isn't entirely locked in and feeling right just yet. You got this tho! As long as your having fun that's all that matters. :D

Yeah there's many changes that need to be made (I haven't unlocked it yet but demon form needs a rework, it looks fun though) but I am very forgiving on that because this is a very new beta :) I'm having so much fun! I see myself playing this for years, which is kinda crazy to say already but this type of game has so much potential.
If you just want loot and not much exp tbere is a rare beetle that is always in lost city in act 2/5, if you destroy the body it respawns when you do at the checkpoint 3 feet away.

@@quincestopher8892 yessir luckily i have a freeze build and around 120 rarity so this is a really great farm. just did it for 30 mins got 2 lesser jewlers, 2 chaos, vaal orb, GCP, 3 exalts and 3 or 4 regals with a few other random things and 3 arti orbs worth of socketed items... this is pretty op tbh. :d lol
I agree until you get to mid-late maps then the difficulty spikes dramatically again. But I felt the game calmed down after act 2 pretty well once i started getting my t2 and 3 support gems and had some decent gear/build online
I haven't made a witch but I know goblin inc has a crazy witch build just posted recently doing insane dmg numbers and kripparian is an og poe player and he's running a hyper tanky reliable witch build as well. Seems like most successful witch builds are doing minions from my limited research. Sorry I couldn't help more but recommend those 2 builds for sure! Glad and have fun.
I struggled through on witch early game, that wolf forced me to actually learn how to mouse and keyboard lol anyway long story short > gas arrow, contagion, essence drain as your three main spells, and patience x slot in a weapon with skeleton warriors and ideally spell damage and chaos or fire damage, (life regen in battle is good too) unfortunately its a war of attrition play the mechanics and dont try to put down big dps and ull get it :)

This boss made me feel like a little child the first time I faced her so I had to backtrack took her husband out then came back & melted her no problem
Gold for respecs, Socketed gear you can salvage for adding sockets/runes to your good gear to give more res or dmg. More support gems in case you were unlucky and didn't get a lot to drop by the time you make it to the last boss. Some builds struggle more than others and variety/options are always nice. If you don't feel the need to go back and farm then perfect but others might and this info is for them.
:( Maybe soon? Its still early balance is hard in these games. Im sure some try hard sweat is cooking up some disgusting sorc build as we speak. :D Hang in there exile!
@OmniCrossV1 Thanks lol. I was just ticked earlier at the Queen of Filths ridiculous range and teleporting me. Ice/frost is quite literally dead. Lightning so far is a lot stronger. After switching finally killed her.

Probably was a healthy decision to not have these 3 areas dropping ex like candy tho seeing as how low investment is required to farm them. Would be less overall reason to run end game content if we could just farm some act 1 boss on repeat instead.

CTRL+L-Click for quick identify from Hooded one, and opening shops and disenchant from npc's. And Alt+L-Click for the npc other menu.

So you just have to make sure the corpse is gone like shattering it with freeze or um any skill that uses it

Why would you farm a lvl 9 boss to beat a lvl 15 Act 1 boss 😳
Gold for respecs, Socketed gear you can salvage for adding sockets/runes to your good gear to give more res or dmg. More support gems in case you were unlucky and didn't get a lot to drop by the time you make it to the last boss. Some builds struggle more than others and variety/options are always nice. If you don't feel the need to go back and farm then perfect but others might and this info is for them.

When i used to play ps5i believe it was hold L3 + interact? Been a while but this sounds right.

lmao so many people hate Draven maybe a boss guide is in order. "How to cheese draven" or something explain his move sets etc.
What the fu. The animations. The damage. This class looks 100x easier and faster than sorc. I just wanted to play sorc. Is it that hard to ask...

@OmniCrossV1 Thanks lol. I was just ticked earlier at the Queen of Filths ridiculous range and teleporting me. Ice/frost is quite literally dead. Lightning so far is a lot stronger. After switching finally killed her.

the goal isnt to get OP gear, its to farm efficiently and picking up all the "scraps" that in return becomes a lot in a short time
Never meant to "fool" anyone. I only showcase the realistic things you can expect to gain from this method of farming. If i placed exalts and crazy stuff there then that would be misleading and click bait. I only placed "Realistic" items in the thumbnail.
@rizzw the problem is you’ll get much better gear by just playing the game. I tested this pre nerf btw. This video is post nerf.

@@HeartbrokenHeartshooter which spot specifically? I show 3 different locations. Probably was a healthy decision to not have these 3 areas dropping ex like candy tho seeing as how low investment is required to farm them. Would be less overall reason to run end game content if we could just farm some act 1 boss on repeat instead.
