16:53 "The more T1 wins it will hurt more the league scene" You see there's a reason why most of the comments are favoring T1 here, because the entire video you only talk about the perspective of the lpl scene like it's not T1's fault they always manage to beat chinese teams hell this 2024 T1 is the weakest they have ever been yet they still lose why is that? This post gets flak because it undermines the winners who just won the tournament it would not even surprise me if DDOS attacks will be directed at T1 again next year this post also undermines every chinese players who competes every year at worlds. Don't say "if T1 wins more it will hurt the esports scene" no. it should be "the more chinese teams loses there will be more consequences" don't blame a team that won a tournament simply by performing better and stepped up to the challenge. If chinese fans is angry at T1 for beating every chinese representative then that tells me that they are just a big salty fanbase.

If Chinese teams loses at the weakest version of T1 then wouldn't that mean that they should change something in their region as a whole? The thing with Lpl is that there's never a consistent dominant team every year it's always a bloodfest at championships big reason why WBG managed to beat BLG last year despite BLG gives T1 more of a challenge every time they match up.

    • @Vacool

but that's a fact, basically if the chinese can't win vs 1 team which every single times is at the worlds it means that they will never win the most important trophy which benefits the org, players and the fanbase.
It's like you could in alternative scenario put geng, hle, kt if they would have the same scores against lpl teams it would be also bad for the league esports in general.
Like idk from what country you are from, but if you would have a national sport and your country couldn't win vs 1 exceptional country which all the times beat you, wouldn't you be mad or angry?

@@Vacool This year is their weakest they were 4th seed they did not almost make it into worlds compared to last year they had a harder year plus the fact that they were bombarded with DDOS attacks they had to switch accounts every time they had practice they just stepped up and adapted during worlds much like DRX and they did not have an easy match going to finals.

Doom or not watching Faker and now Zeus, oner, Guma and Keria make the run was nothing short of magical.
T1 has been defeated a lot of times. That said other just don’t show up when it mattered the most, BLG did their best and T1 and Fakeer today was better. Yes BLG lost but come on the game today was so good. I hope CN don’t lose hope but Faker in the end just built for the game man…
Last year and this year especially this year was never T1 narrative never is them…it was all about HLE, GENG and BLG. They all I would say beside BLG fumble hard!. BLGmade it close and it was right till the end… Faker just diff and his current team mate is there for him.

yes, but I'm not talking about them winning but more of the LPL perspective how winning t1 once again vs lpl in the most important game can damage the Chinese fanbase and the pro scene future in the League.
Also I'm talking about other problems which are not so related to t1

@@Vacool So basically you're saying that if T1 wins it's gonna be bad for Lpl fanbase and viewership? But this is a tournament tho, someone wins someone loses much like olympics. Saying something like "if T1 wins it's gonna be bad for League of legends in general" is wrong, it's a tournament nobody decides who's gonna win except for the players.

It's just if Chinese can't win Asian games, can't win Worlds which are the most important tournaments it makes no sense to pump money, so LPL is going to be weaker and only Korea will stay at the top of the lolesports.

but worlds is held next year in China, right? so if anything they should make 2025 the last hurrah for LPL when it's being held in their home region. I dunno, how the LPL handles defeat is entirely on them and shouldn't downplay or antagonize T1 for simply being the better team that day.
If the LCK had a very poor showing in 2018 worlds, and poor showings in 2019 MSI, 2019 Worlds then I fail to see how the LPL isn't able to bounce back.
Players like DoinB seem to have greatly over exaggerated LPL's exponential downfall and I think even if they won this year it would only plug up more holes the LPL already has on their sinking ship rather than fixing the issue entirely. Their policy for their youth not being allowed to play games only accentuates China's problems in their policies as a country rather than soley being an LPL issue.

      It's not only DoinB.
The rule that every LPL team needs to have academy team in LDL was dropped and instantly 5 teams withdrawn from it.
Also they objectively had one of the best Chinese teams ever produced this year and they didn't make it this time.
I guess if they will stay together in BLG for the next year it might be a hope for the Chinese fans, otherwise I don't think they will be able to fill top Chinese players on every role together to fight any top LCK team.

I understand where you're coming from but I can't help but feel that this is akin to Korea in from the years 2018, 2019 and up to 2020 worlds and even 2021. Korea just was getting worse, meta changed vision denial was more prominent and less vision in general was the norm.
South Korea lost in MSI 2018 to LPL, same there were no LCK teams in semi finals in worlds. same story with 2019 where LCK dropped in MSI in semi finals to LEC, and it was an LPL and EU finals where LPL handily won 3-0.
even when LCK won again in 2020, it wasnt like it was Korean dominance from then on because the LPL literally won both MSI and worlds in 2021 and then still managed to win MSI in 2022 and 2023 mind you.
It would be a shame if China is unable to produce talents like they have in the past but with their huge playerbase regardless of bans set out by their government they should still be able to persevere and create world winning teams

In NBA numerous teams won multiple championships in a row for years. nobody blames the team that won hell blaming the team that won is also an insult to the team that lost. They don't need a lawyer to explain to everyone why a team should win the players in the team that lost knows and understand why they lost, it's not like they were robbed either they had 5 games to prove that they should win but they didn't.
