    Hi my name is George Leeman, and I want to invite you to work together towards your fitness goals! I am formerly the raw American deadlift record holder, and have over a decade in training experience with a resume of having successfully worked with mass amounts people from all over the world, varying from housewives to world class strength athletes, specializing in physique transformations, bodybuilding, powerlifting, and sports specific strength training.
    I work as an online coach because I believe people should have access to all the help they need for reasonable prices instead of $50-100 per hour from inexperienced personal trainers who are more interested in you becoming reliant on them than they are invested in your personal success as a person. With online coaching I will personally work with you on your training and diet, as well as offer advice on drug use, mobility, form, supplements, injury prevention and rehabilitation.
    I developed my online coaching system so that I could reach out to as many people as possible and give people as much help as possible, for a price that would make it so that I could work with everyone who
    wanted my help.
    Sign up today and let me show you why my clients have swore off their old beginner programs for good!

    i like the fact that George is not afraid to do isolation and bodybuilding style of training. I think the biggest mistake i have made the last few years is getting away from that type of training and going too heavy. I have made the most strength gains while bodybuilding

    I love that you train calfs, I've always thought why do people insist calf training is not required for powerlifting? Every muscle is used to deadlift! Thanks Geroge.

      Well, George seems to me to rather do more than less if he's unsure something works (which is the right attitdude for an athlete, though something that can be dangerous when it comes to managing recovery and preventing injury). Based on anecdotal evidence and what people say, I've never read or heard anyone say calf training made a difference, but who knows, maybe it makes a tiny difference? Especially for super-heavy-weights, I reckon just adding muscle mass everywhere is probably mostly beneficial.

    "...and I thought, why not use it with a box and make it more effective?"
    lol, what?
    It's also worth noting that the lats are not responsible for scapula retraction, the rhomboids and teres are. The lats are responsible for bringing the upper arm to the torso.
    Oh, and before I forget;
    It seems like in every video where you do Leeman reps, you offer a new excuse. When you don't lock out on dips, for example, it's because your forearms hurt. When you don't lock out on deadlift variations, it's because of high reps. Other exercises, you claim you don't lock out because that's "not what you are trying to focus on".
    You know, if you don't want to lock out, that's totally fine. But why not just say "I prefer not to lock out"?

      Only going to comment on the box squat comment.
      The box squat better mimics the deadlift because there is no stored energy and stretch reflex at the bottom (like a normal squat would have).

    • @SkylerKingTW
      @SkylerKingTW 9 лет назад +1

      Joshua Rudman The box directly supports you in the bottom, which you do not have in a deadlift or even a regular squat. If you want to mimic the dead-stop movement out of the bottom then you are better off doing pin-squats/low position Anderson squats.

    REALLY great video George! I can't thank you enough for this. Can you do also deadlift instructonial video on how to pull the right way? Obviously not everybody can pull the same way but if you could give pointers on proper starting position since there is a lot of contradiction between differrent teachers. I'd love to hear your take on it because you and your girlfriend both like to really SIT in the start of a deadlift and I've read that "you shouldn't turn your deadlift to a squat with a barbell in your hands" but I'm finding that style of start really good for my lower back when deadlifting.

    i love you Leeman, (no homo) but some times your tips don't make any sense like this one. Your calves are the muscles that induce plantar flexion, not dorsiflexion. Or did i understand you incorrectly?

    • @B3nkeii
      @B3nkeii 9 лет назад +4

      i think he means to say that strong calves give more stability so if you wanna do everything in your power to get a big ass deadlift you need to train your calves
