So; the customer hands over the magic lantern to the Bartender but says, “BE WARNED, the Genie is hard of hearing so be very careful how you ask for your wish as you get ONE wish and ONE wish only.” The Bartender replies by asking the customer, “So what makes you think the Genie is hard of hearing?” The customer looks scathingly at the EXACTLY ONE-FOOT TALL PIANO PLAYER and replies to the Bartender, “Well my friend, if you had ONE wish and ONE wish only, would you wish for a twelve inch pianist?”

It works with Zimbabweans, why wouldn't it work with them?
So their fear is valid, like every non-Christian faith they don’t have the means to fight them.
I worked in a council office staffed by many employees from India and Pakistan. Some Islamic members of staff stated they believed in Djinns. I don't quite remember how the conversation started, but someone mentioned a relative's wife had been locked in her bedroom because she was possessed by a Djinn. Because she wanted to leave her husband. I queried the existence of Djinns and perfectly rational people said they believed in them and had proof. I asked "How come there weren't any Djinn's in the UK before Indian religions arrived?". A lot of brains Blue Screened.
Run run as fast as you can, you can’t catch me I’m the Djinn-derbread man
Happened to my uncle when he was in the Peace corps. He caught Typhoid and being in Africa the people shaved all his hair off so the evil spirits attacking him would stop
I hope if there are Genies, they’re exactly like the Robin Williams Genie
...Perplexingly replaced by Will Smith?
This talk of genies is reminding me of a joke from The Boondock Saints.
The Genie is a slave.
Hoho, I've heard of gin going to people's heads, but this is ridiculous
i prefer Barbara Eden from the 60's American TV show.
This UK government exemplifies the death of reason
Djinnbrain has an easy explanation, the desert people get high as balls on herion and start seeing and doing stupid shit.
Nailed it.
This is a materialistic view. Europeans had their own beliefs, until fairly recently and heroin was not involved.
@14Anon2 you do know that 90% of the world's herion supply comes from Afghanistan
@@14Anon2meh there was a lot of things like arsenic & lead etc used in a lot of products for centuries though.
no heroin needed after 1400yr of inces
I just got back from trolling Hunter Avallone for losing the election. Highly recommend.
Anytime something goes wrong I think I'll have to blame it on the goblins 😂
thats a horrible nickname for a wife.. stealing that one.
Vaush
Misogyny is a lot like Djinns, nobody has ever seen one, but those that believe in it claim that it's everywhere.
you can see this happen literally as the same people who will laugh in the face of a person from Ireland or Iceland referring to faeries, but be deeply offended to dismiss the same religious ideas from Indigenous cultures of a different color.
it happens because of cultural Leftism and values-inversion; thus, in-group bad, out-group good. "HwY-Tee person things BAA-aaa-d (sheep-bleat), all black-people and all brown-people things gooOOood (cow-moo)."
thus, to sum it up, there is now this new-normal doctrine to dump things like (white european) civilization, intelligence, beneficial tradition, science, in favor of (african or islamic flavor of) savage-ness, stupidity, detrimental tradition, and gleeful indulgence of magical-thinking. (among a great many other things.)
there really is an interesting pattern to found here, both huldufolk and djinn are described as parallel societies of invisible people living alongside humans
@@PeterDanielBerg djinn are more like demons except they were never angels at any point.
fairies were like nature personfied choatic naive and cruel but rarely truly evil similar to YOKAI in japanese mythology.
djinn and demons are universially depicted as evil capircious beings who choose to take joy in making mortals suffer despite having so much power an dknowledge.
you can't make fun of brown people, they're inferior to us after all.
Why don't muslims like Snoop Dogg? They're scared of Gin and Juice.
Believing in djinn is honestly one of the least problematic aspects of Islam
_Law & Order: Anti-Witchcraft Unit_
Wasn't that just the first episode of "Agatha All Along"?
I'd watch it!
that would just be the law and order crew arresting people who get angry at the local witchburnings.
I visited a muslim friend of mine along with my dog. When we arrived this saucepan fell off the draining board. My friend said he was being pestered by a naughty Jinn. He picked up the pan, scolded the jinn and my visit continued as before. They're everywhere - some naughty and some nice.
Oh this is good to put towards our meme pantheon.
Remember guys it's all for the greater good!😂
The greater good.
Djinn & Tonic, I'm quite partial to one thanks.
Religion and magic are very different things. Magic is an attempt to control the universe; religion is an acceptance that God controls the universe
“Witch” Hunt 2.0. Meant to drive freethinkers and herbalists underground.
X-Files did a great episode about a Djinn. Je Souhaite is the twenty-first episode of the seventh season.
"Anasazi" and "paper clip" started it all for me! The youth of today will never understand good storytelling.
“You ain’t never had a friend like me!” - Jesus, probably
"Can your friends do this~"
@user-ko5ul7yi1x source? - trust me bro. That's a load of shit, he probably just hallucinated on mushrooms and from that gathered he was God.
Great analysis, Josh!
We love casting spells.
DEFUND THE GOVERNMENT, STOP PAYING TAX
Brilliant discussion
Excellent Analysis
Thank you Sir
I agree!!
I love your work, and I always love listening to you
Thank you gentlemen
Thanks Lotus Eaters, you guys have changed my life for the better since I started listening to you
well said!!!
No farmers, no food, simple!
Genies are to Muslims what cucumbers are to cats. I know a lot of Muslims personally and the more Arabic they are the more they fear the Jinn.
They must fear showers and living in their own countries
The year is 2873. Islamic scientists discover that mountains do indeed have roots.
The Balrog is going to upset them.
If you guys think this only happens in Africa and Asia, look up the "Satanic Panic" that took place in the USA in the '80's and '90's.
If the clouds ever turn green, has nothing to do with leprechauns or wizard of oz memes. Green clouds mean the atmosphere is so twisted by air pressure that the auroraborialis is being seen mid day and the most unholy of solar wind powered tornados is about to rip everything you know to dust.
Means hail too.
Just came here to say I appreciate when British boys look strapping. Carry on.
when your world view is "It is always their fault" then the world is kind of magical. nothing that you did causes anything. it is always being done to you, without your consent. Magic, Destiny, Karma, Satan, God's will. Having nothing you do cause harm or inconvenience is truly a "bless your heart" kind od thinking
This reminds me of something out of an Aladdin panto. XD
Abanazar: "I need your son's help to find the magic lamp!"
Widow Twanky: "What's so special about a lamp?"
Abanazar: "When you rub it, something magical happens."
Widow Twanky: "Oh yes! I have something similar... [winks at audience]."
panto?
Muslim countries banned Harry Potter? Based. The fan base is egregious. I don't mind HP but it is so annoying how many people haven't read more than these books
cant argue with people who only read the quran..
It's always some outside force, it's never my fault.
Djins are made of plasma, at least that's my belief. Smokeless flame? Plasma.
You and Roger Zelazny both.
Sudden disappearance of children in a puff of smoke? Plasma.
Listen. Anti-Sorcerer units is what we should all have. #rememberwhattheytookfromyou
Do not let the irony be lost that they are doing this segment with Connor on the panel, who believes in the EXACT same things but calls them prettier terms.
not the same at all lmao
Harry looking like a late 1800’s farm who has joined the local council. Great arc.
If I were British, I'd lean into that hard. Fashion used to be better and more dignified than it is now.
Ok...I identify as a djinn...I just have to get the T-Shirt.
Guy walks into a bar and asks the Bartender for a pint of Guinness which the Bartender duly starts to slowly pour.
The customer looks a bit down as if he’s been crying so the Bartender starts a conversation by asking the customer what is in the oddly shaped holdall he has on the floor.
The customer replies, “That is a PIANO PLAYER who is EXACTLY ONE-FOOT TALL, and his miniature baby grand piano.”
The Bartender says, “NO! You are kidding me, an EXACTLY ONE-FOOT TALL PIANO PLAYER!”
The customer responds by saying that it is true and he puts the miniature baby grand piano and the EXACTLY ONE-FOOT TALL PIANO PLAYER on the bar and a concert of Chopin and Schubert duly ensues.
The Bartender says, “That is amazing, I’ve never seen anything like that in my life. May I ask what that other strange object is in your holdall?”
The customer replies, “That, my friend is a magic lantern.”
The Bartender says, “You are joking!”
The customer asks the EXACTLY ONE-FOOT TALL PIANO PLAYER to stop playing whilst they continue the conversation.
The customer then continues his conversation with the Bartender by saying, “No, it is true, it is a magic lantern which if you rub with a cloth, a Genie duly appears and grants you ONE wish and ONE wish only.” He then continues by telling the Bartender that in actual fact he may as well be the new owner of the magic lantern as he has had his ONE wish so the magic lantern is of no further use.
So; the customer hands over the magic lantern to the Bartender but says, “BE WARNED, the Genie is hard of hearing so be very careful how you ask for your wish as you get ONE wish and ONE wish only.”
The Bartender replies by asking the customer, “So what makes you think the Genie is hard of hearing?”
The customer looks scathingly at the EXACTLY ONE-FOOT TALL PIANO PLAYER and replies to the Bartender, “Well my friend, if you had ONE wish and ONE wish only, would you wish for a twelve inch pianist?”
my fav joke gets me shadowbanned every time..
the fuck is a holdall?
Another great segment, I had no idea a lot of this stuff was a thing. A djinn-powered nuclear plant would be perfect 👌
I get why you think it's absurd and completely unnecessary, so why is the UK still like "MORE PLEASE!" ?
There are Djinns here, The Well has fallen.
…sippin’ on djinn and jews.
with my mind on my camels and my camels on my mind.
Not all cultures are equally Djinnbrained lmao
So ''I dream of jeanie', from the 60's makes far more sense now😂
I honestly love you three working together. You balance each other out beautifully and have the grace and dignity to understand you won't always agree but Josh please listen to me when I say this grow more confindent please you dad jokes are appriceated and put at smile on my face.
Oh god "good djin, bad djin" sound funny as hell...
Djin1: "Oh boy, you sure are in trouble now, but don't worry you get 3 wishes!"
Djin2: "And all it wil cost you is your ETERNAL SOUL!!!"
Djin1: "Ah don't worry about it, just make a wish, after all you'd still have 2 wishes left!"
Josh always presents the most interesting ideas. He deserves a pay raise. 😊
I thought they feared bacon?
