KYM Rainbow - a futuristic lawn sprinkler

In the 70s, many manufacturers of lawn sprinklers struggled to give their irrigation devices a futuristic look. A whole clip for the rainbow would not be original enough. So it's competing against each other:

Great selection of oscillating sprinklers! I've never seen any of these before. The Rain Bird Impulsinator is very interesting, like two sprinklers in one.

I always have to smile when I can show you collectors overseas a "Yank" that nobody over there knows. This Rainbird was brought to my attention by a collector from Alaska. I think he is great. But there is an even more exotic model. This is the Sherman. The KYM just looks very good. As a representative of the PERROT company, I chose the wrong model. There are two other PERROT rectangular sprinklers in this garden line that do an incredible job. These are projects for next year.

Ich liebe das Drohnenvideo. Der Vergleich der vier Sprinkler war sehr interessant. Ich habe diese Art von Regnern mit Impulsantrieb noch nie gesehen. Ich muss sagen, dass ich durch Ihren Kanal eine Wertschätzung für die Sprinkler der DDR erlangt habe.

Thanks for the compliment. Unfortunately, I discovered a few carelessness after rendering. But the KYM was borrowed. It has to go like this now. The subject of DDR sprinklers is very special. It always moves me when I read in the test reports of these sprinklers how MARK II of a model could still save 25 g of brass. In the end, it was all plastic. The great Hellerau goes back to a model from the 1930s (Hergus model). These rectangular sprinklers have to swing furiously to achieve even water distribution. There is another plastic PERROT that does this quite well too. Your German is fabulous, by the way.

Der RAINBIRD hat sich vor einiger Zeit auf Anregung eines Sammlers aus Alaska eingeschlichen. Ein RAINBIRD Intermezzo. Um 1980 kurze Zeit gebaut und eigentlich zu jung in der Reihe der alten Schätzchen. Der Sherman wäre besser gewesen.
