Completely agree with what you guys are saying, he kept his composure throughout the whole buildup to the fight and then at the last minute lost the most important battle

In a perfect word, your world would make perfect sense, but you need to be a bit realistic, the whole arena was full of hate and racism, there were a lot of previous incidents (plane / bus/ hate speech...) which lead to that. UFC is not the only sport where this is happening, football and other sports are also experiencing this. There should be strong sanctions to avoid this kind of things to happen which undermine completly the sport.

You can’t sanction speech bro. Nor should anyone try.
The only speech that can be sanctioned is imminent threats of violence.
Just take the logical steps it would take to punish people for trash talking! Who will be the moral police? Who will turn who in? Who will govern the internet? Who will investigate and punish the “criminals”? What is an ethical punishment for that type of crime?
More important question: how would you like it if I got you in trouble for what I heard you say when spouting your opinion?
All human rights agencies in the world make the freedom of speech their top human right to protect.
From a scientific point of view: Trash talking is a sociological power play embedded in the nature of mankind. It serves a purpose.
That’s why the law makes a distinction between objective and subjective harm. More people in our society need to be educated about the difference between physical and emotional pain. We also need to teach how to protect ourselves from emotional pain... because people will always be mean. And what you call hate someone else calls truth.
      Thanks for your comment.
