It needs to have real grass. Look at what Real Madrid just did in Spain. They have a real grass field that can be stored under the stadium during concerts or other events. We would be the first team in the NFL to do this. Real grass is needed for soccer matches and it’s the best surface for football. Not turf. It's safer for players on grass. Also it would help against the argument for those that want to remain outside. Real grass surface, with tones of natural light, always 70 degrees. all these checked boxes make leaving downtown worth it to me.
Screw the haters, I think it’s great, can be used all year round. I lost a pinky toe back at the browns bills game all those years back,, I had two pairs of socks on with boots, still fucked.. I welcome this to the umpteenth degree! Go browns
Legit question - not a bitch or complaint. I'm a season ticket holder since 1985, currently sitting in section 319. What percentage of "core" fans do you think will be priced out of season tickets? We have a group of about 30, and I personally own 3. This has been a big topic of conversation amongst our group. Our group is split 60/40 on retaining our tickets. That will change drastically up or down depending on if there are PSL's at all or the cost of the PSL. Interested in hearing everyone's thoughts.
WHOA !!! They don't need this !!! Already what happened to the retractable roof ? There had better be a "WINDOW WELL with glass roof over it" to let fresh air and some natural light in. Didnt take long before the lies come clear. Football is ment to be played outside on real grass in natural weather conditions
Don't want a dome. The atmosphere is not the same watching football played in a dome compared to outdoors. You're not hosting a Super Bowl in Cleveland regardless of a dome, 2014 was the last time that'll happen. Nobody wants to attend a Superbowl up north in the dead of winter. We have plenty of other facilities in the area that already handle events that need to be indoors in the winter.
Kudos to the Haslams for doing something positive amongst negativity and low vision for the future, sometimes you have to lead the herd to the green grass. GO BROWNS🏈🏈🏈🏈 Can’t wait to go to the new stadium.
I will never root for the Browns again if they play in a dome on carpet. Haslam is a criminal and a loser. I was born a Browns fan and still root for them even though they are a terrible team. But a dome, no way. Please Jimma, sell the team
I’m confused. You’re not rooting for the Browns if they move to a dome, but if they stay at their current location, you’re willing to root for them with a criminal owner? Interesting
You got it, a dome is the proverbial last straw for me with the browns. I can put up with all the shitty teams and the criminal owner. But dome football is boring and lame. Dome football is Not Cleveland football.
I'm with you. Watson was going to be the last straw for me, but I ended up rooting for them again last year when Flacco came in and they made the playoff run. Watson will be gone eventually, but this is a permanent change to the culture that I just can't get excited about.
And yes. Let's stop calling it a dome. A dome is round. Its an inclosed field. And looks good. Reminds me of wearhouses we had in Cleveland and cities of before. Now we need a winning team. .
I think this is probably the end of the Browns. That snow game W over Pittsburgh had the whole nation saying “well the Browns suck again but man that snow game was cool to watch”. Take the weather away and you’re just gonna have a lame ass dome team.
Totally agree. The Browns will never be consistent contenders in the NFL in my lifetime. No division titles since 1989. Only thing we have going for us is a unique stadium located on the lake. If this dome is built, it will be the exact same as being at a game in Indy or Dallas or Houston. Boring stadium with a terrible team. Might as well move the Browns to Tokyo. Thanks Jimma for nothing you criminal. Go back to Tennessee.
If I wanted to watch football indoors on a giant screen I'd just stay at home. If they cared about making it authentic to Cleveland it would be outdoors on grass.
Funny how he mentions that the design of the roof allows for 20-30% HVAC savings and lowers the carbon footprint of the facility. I have a better idea - no roof would save 100% on HVAC. Perhaps I should be an architect...
Business owners do business endeavors, nothing different from any other sports loving city, Browns need their own venue! We have been paying the sin tax for the other stadiums, give the Browns theirs!
Loved this interview. My only real complaint about the design are the screens. I know he described that experience as being immersive but the concept art they look fairly small. Just skeptical about it but looking forward to brook park for sure!
@dgratt183 that's not Cleveland browns football and honestly this isn't our same browns we grew up watching this owner is the worst and knows nothing about the browns and it's fans
you sound like a goofy who has never left the area once in your life. I have...and lived in domed cities like Seattle, Detroit and Indianapolis and it's awesome. You gotta stop being a Gump. We need to see this city get more concerts, conventions, and events outside 6 games and a Taylor Swift concert an effin year.
Its gonna get tossed. For christ sakes they are moving what few miles down the road. Same county...technically just a suburb of Cleveland so Modell law is toast :)

Raiders have a stadium that pulls it in. RUclips it, it is crazy
@@howtoolive6387 I’m well aware and Arizona has one two. But this would be different. The grass would need to stay in the building all year.
Screw the haters, I think it’s great, can be used all year round. I lost a pinky toe back at the browns bills game all those years back,, I had two pairs of socks on with boots, still fucked.. I welcome this to the umpteenth degree! Go browns
That's crazy dude!
We want a winning football team every year. We don't give af about a new stadium until we get that.
That's not a trade off. They're not allocating resources from making the football team good to building a new stadium

If they can use it more throughout the year. Should keep increase at a minimum. I would think
PASS
If Jimmy pays for this himself, go for it. If not, slap a fresh coat of paint on the current stadium and be done with it.

😂☝️
Boooooo A Barn with indoor carpet.
Jimmy needs to pay 100%.then he, jw and depodesta need to stay out of decision making
Kudos to the Haslams for doing something positive amongst negativity and low vision for the future, sometimes you have to lead the herd to the green grass. GO BROWNS🏈🏈🏈🏈 Can’t wait to go to the new stadium.
Great interview, Nathan!
Should be retractable roof period!!! A complete dome sucks
Not interested. Football wasn't meant to be played on a carpet and indoors, near an EPA contaminated site.
Cool!!👍🏼
Good thing your opinion matters to the Haslams
Buffalo’s not that far of a drive
Stop it🙄. I think they should change uni’s and helmets too. Everything they’ve done is sononomous with losing. Everything.
Just win something whether in a crack house on the streets of Cleveland or a dome on top of an old Indian burial ground
I will never root for the Browns again if they play in a dome on carpet.

The new stadium is gonna be closer to one, but this isn't an airport...
I'm with you. Watson was going to be the last straw for me, but I ended up rooting for them again last year when Flacco came in and they made the playoff run. Watson will be gone eventually, but this is a permanent change to the culture that I just can't get excited about.
yeah okay...see you later

Thats a sick Bass Pro!

Most staged interview I’ve ever seen in my life, but I’m here for it!! I’m all in on the dome

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Does your open air make it useful all year ?
I'm wondering if you could even be a secretary for an architect?
3 - 11

Love it
No browns fans want a domed stadium that not who we are I pray the haslams sell our team Worst owners possible football is meant to be played outside
I want it. 49-year-old diehard Brown fan, if that counts.
@dgratt183 that's not Cleveland browns football and honestly this isn't our same browns we grew up watching this owner is the worst and knows nothing about the browns and it's fans

Cleveland has to be the only fan base that begs for and then complains about getting a new stadium 😂😂
No Browns fans want it? Speak for yourself buddy. Sincerely, a 44 year Browns fan. 😉
Not really looking forward to paying for this or the parking.
HALO jump in, Uber out.
Brookpark browns no one wants that
It would dethrone Green Bay for smallest city with an NFL Team.
I want it
Just move the team somewhere else build your dome. After this season the franchise is hopeless. This design looks like shit by the way
Browns are getting sued by Cleveland lol
Its gonna get tossed. For christ sakes they are moving what few miles down the road. Same county...technically just a suburb of Cleveland so Modell law is toast :)
Means nothing lol. Stop gargling the news.
Most staged interview I’ve ever seen in my life, but I’m here for it!! I’m all in on the dome.
