Excellent diag! I’ve done so many Honda Civic/CR-V repairs to the door jam connector that I keep a bag of extra TE Connectivity connectors in my electrical parts box.
As always, brilliant diagnostics, peppered with useful tips to keep the vehicle rolling. Replacing that whole connector would be expensive and time consuming, if you could even find the part.
It’s always amazed me how the little green aliens can cause symptoms that make no sense good video my friend, hope you have a merry Christmas and happy new year
Well it seems you're proving what Chrysler had always taught us when we were troubleshooting door locks and window problems.. the first test they would have you do is to make sure that voltage was continuous through the circuit... Once again their knowledge has proven to be true
I had a similar issue on a Z. It ended up being broken wires at the door hinge harness. The power windows system for that vehicle was a bit confusing because it has essentially two modules. One is the switches themselves and the other is integrated into the window motor. This was years ago. So I'm sure I'm butchering some of explanation. But I just remember it kicking my ass due to the odd way it was failing.
You didn’t use it, so that’s probably your position on it, but with a connector that seems to get moisture, what about dielectric grease? If the thought is it got moisture due to originally not being installed correctly, maybe nothing further was needed?

Trying to record an already bummer situation isn't fun. It actually creates a mood kill. Nice warm weather, or a comfy warm garage, bring the fun back to the work, and recording.
Great tip with the wire through the connector instead of an overlay!

I’m not sure, things would need to be tested.
