I ran into that kinda scenario while building my 76 sportster; later model motor in an earlier frame. Thus the conversion over to a right side shift from a left side shift.
YES!...just opposite!
Great build. Mine looks very similar. I'm getting mine refreshed. 1968 t100.
Nice 👍
Cannot wait!
How did ya like it?
@@weemsmotorco you got me shopping!
Love the cocktails shakers exhaust classic choice for a bobber my colour choice would be candy apple red tank and every think Black and chrome bit boring but when that sun hits the tank pop
Nice ideas!
Orange, been wanting to paint a bike burnt candy orange for a while. This is a really cool customer build. Would really love to see you build a 790/865cc engined bike.
That would be RAD!
So far I really like everything you did. Your custom '56 Drag Bike is my all-time favorite custom it's a masterpiece.
Just wait for the video coming out in a few weeks on 56 running!!!!!
56 is something special. Its even crazier in person
Cool bike that style of triumph will always be killer. Id go gold flake
Flake is always awesome!
I’d keep it raw. It looks so good. Great job
Raw is cool!
Jade green with blood red accents would look awesome on that build
Green and Red, now that is a thought!
Super clean work it makes the bike a step above and easy for the new owner to fettle....
You know it!
Have been watching your channel for awhile now !! Always excited to see what's next. You have inspired me to build my first triumph, a 1970 t100r ! If it come out half as good I will be happy. Thank you !
You can do it! Just reach out if you need help!
@weemsmotorco appreciate that !! I would like to have it done for mama tried next year !!
An artist always sees color and its patterns better. When asked how I see it, it’s possible: light silver, and dark stripes on the tank, plus a white seat.
Great idea!
Looks good. I would paint it british racing green.
Perfect!
Coming from a 3rd generation Triumph Rider n builder.. My Grandfather had a Triumph Dealership.. Also after my father came back from the Korean war as a tank operator aka Hell on Wheels.. Opened his own Triumph Dealership..At that time Triumph had a Mechanic's course located n Baltimore Maryland which he attended.. With out saying l grew up Triumph..Wish l knew how to send a few pics of his drag bikes.. Not meaning carry on.. Just wanted to mention l fell your doing great with the work you do on the old Triumphs and keeping them alive..I love my old 63 custom Bonnie..
Mark, Thanks for reaching out! I would love to see those photos! You can email them to me at weemsmotorco@yahoo.com and a 1963 Bonneville is a great bike! First year Unit Construction with a few one year only parts!
Always getting it done. Colour try True Blu with silver pinstriping should look good . Cant wait to see it finished your bikes are something else 👍🏻🇦🇺
Blue is sweet!
Charcoal grey metallic tins..with a gunmetal scallop. Black frame, semi gloss.
Great vision!
Triumph Morello red like my 2017 Bobber. Brass petrol cap. I've had the bike from new and ever time I see it it's drop dead gorgeous.
Can't go wrong with Red!
Candy red metal flake and white stripes... with the white doing a swoop down and around from across the gas cap.
Too Cool!
👍 750's got a bad wrap back in the day, but they are a sweet classic daily ride. With STD cams power is a lot flatter/broader than the 650's with a bit more torque. Lucky enough to own both.😀😀
Couldn't agree more!
I like the factory aubergine purple. BTW,im also doing a 750/ early frame. Keeping disc rear.
That is a great color!
Red/cream coloured tank , red with a cream colored strip mudguards (fender )red frame .
Beautiful bike by the way 👍👍
See you next week jared , best regards to the family .
Peace out ✌
I agree with you. Red and cream would look great.
@@jeffjohnson937 ,thanks jeff , you've got good taste 😁.
Peace out ✌
Good choice Andrew!
We all agree!
He does have good taste!
That's coming out absolutely beautiful Jared, awesome job! Honestly when it comes to the color (and I normally wouldn't choose these colors) but I really think a loud green/white/black theme would look really sharp (like a Hulk color themed motorcycle) done tastefully! Plus the color green is often associated with go fast so that would tie in nicely as well! Regardless of what color(s) you choose, I know it will come out fantastic because you're the one doing the work! Thanks so much for sharing, I really admire and love your work and craftsmanship! 🏍🏍🏍
Edit: I also just remembered that last week was St Patty's Day so the green color would work for that as well ... LOL!
Green is the British Racing color of choice!
Clean
Thanks!
Cool battery hide ! Colour deep Cherry Wood Red !
Nice and thanks!
That bike is looking really good! If it were mine I'd paint it kelly green.
Good choice!
You do impeccable work ! I'm jealous. Wish it we're mine !
Thank you very much!
@@weemsmotorco Absolutely !
Olympic Flame!
Good choice Joe!
That's gonna be a fantastic bike.
We think so too!
Beautiful bike. I’d love to see it painted a Laguna Blue with flake and silver leaf accents on the tank and fenders. Also, hand painted Triumph logo.
Good call!
blue with white flames
Now that is a RAD idea!
I almost bought a Norton HI- RIDER that had a left hand shift motor. The shifter and brake was on the left side. It was orange 🧡🍊 my favorite color.l wish I had bought it. Oh well such is life .
We cant buy them all!
Black and gold.
Classic!
Great work as usual
Thanks Friend!
She is a beauty Maestro
Thanks!
Metallic Black Cherry with a dozen layers of clearcoat
Wow, perfect!
You, sir, are a artist. If it was mine, I would paint it silver.
Classic!
I would paint the frame, rearmudgard and petrol tank it in a champagne metallic with a bas of California sage green and silver metallic frame and Triumph logo on the petrol tank, and a whole lotta of chrome.
Oh that sounds sexy!
@@weemsmotorco Always strive for classy & sassy sir
black is always elegant
You know it!
You are definitely a man who loves a good challenge so he asked the right person to build it.
Thanks Friend!
Good Thinking it sure takes a lot of time, healthy energy efforts with plenty of money for a nice Dream Motorcycle…If it was mine I’d paint it black just like 🎶The Rolling Stones song 🎶
You can never go wrong with black!
Sweet ride! Can’t wait to see what only “Weems Motor Co." can do Quality is #1 with this guy! 💯
You and me both!
metalic lime green - Lefty
Nice choice!
Candy Apple Red and Black with chrome mudguards. This was one of the four colour choices for the 1979 Bonnie. Looking forward to the next videos.
So awesome!
Have you all seen Triumph's limited edition Stealth paints? I have never been into blues, but that Stealth Blue is a sexy paint job, and I love the Stealth Green!!!
It is a great blue!
British racing green but with a little flake added
that'd be cool!
Gorgeous
Thanks!
Vibrant Orange....
beautiful!
Frame black tank and fender candy gold. White pinstripes
Nice choice!
I've always wanted to have my bike painted eggplant. It's a purple that is so dark, it's almost black, and the purple shows when the light hits the right way.
Actually, I just did a quick check, and I may be wrong about the name "eggplant". However, a purple-so-dark-it's-almost-black could be the name. 🙂
Sounds RAD!
Jared, you really are #1 when it comes to bike builds.
A muted Copper would look nice.
I love that color!
Yo Weems, candy, apple blue 💙. ✌️❤️😎🇺🇸
Oh Man that sounds killer!
British racing green with yellow stripes
classic!
Red like a wellknown Canadian Lady
OH MAN!
Candied Apple Red would be nice with gold leaf thin striping look nice.
That was the original idea!
British green
Classic!
i would leave it to rust up on the tank and fenders then have the engine and frame mirror polished
That is an idea!
Deep cherry red for me.
Nice choice!
It's either black or British racing green. Easy
Both nice choices!
Not burnt orange...... candy tangerine with a single line panel style pinstripe scheme in day glo 1 shot . The frame and tanks and fenders all painted and panelled .gas tank logo should be old style in gold flake. If your interested I would be happy to do the striping.
Sounds Rad!
Beautiful machine. I love the lines.
I agree!
White and yellow
Great idea!
If I picked a builder it would be Weems. For color, metallic creme icicle orange/ pearl tangerine orange. For the seat and accent color,, popsicle stick tan
I love that idea!
Awesome work as usual! love the attention to detail.
Thanks Friend!
Nice build you have going on but I am a old school Triumph rider , shifter on the right and brake on the left and any color other than black for the paint maybe the 69 Bonneville colors
You know it all too well!
I like your work a bit of fun goes a long way
It is always fun!
Dark blue
Great pick!
Cement grey
I already did a Grey bike!
British blue with the flag on the tank
Nice!
My oldman did something very similar when he put a left side shift motor in his 67 bonneville chopper in the 80s, he blew the original motor up lol. Your setup is a lot nicer though😂.
Sweet! I would love to see photos!
Clean build, lovin it..!!! 💯👍🏼
Thanks Nils!
You're welcome sir
I would do a polished rear fender and a Union Jack gas tank
Nice!!!
orange/ivory white combo'.
That would be RAD!
Fire Flake Golden Bronze is the color for this bike. It's a rare Norton color.
NICE!
That's how a proper Triumph hardtail bobber should look. So many people get it wrong. One thing I don't understand with a lot of these hardtail builds, including this one, is why the seat always slants backwards... won't the rider feel like they're sliding off the back of the bike? Seems like you'd want the seat to be parallel to the ground or even tilted slightly forward without the weight of the rider on it. is there a reason for the seat placement or is it the look?
It is all about the lines!
The color I would go with is candy metal flake red on the frame a tank candy metal flake red with candy goal flames
RAD!
Hell yeah my brother 🔥
You got it!
Plain steel lacquered will look great..
That'd be cool!
As a Triumph fan I not usually keen on bobbers but this one looks cool. I'm suprised you are not trying a Electrexworld kit as you won't need the battery at all..
The customer requested a battery setup.
Burnt orange
Perfect choice!
This bike would look great in a metal flake red.
Good Call!
Cobalt blue
Nice, love it!
If that bike was mine. I would paint tank, fenders and frame Kandy Apple Red over a antique gold base coat with ghost flames.
Oh wow!
@@weemsmotorco you asked!
Absolutely mint build , everything is bang-on! What cocktail shakers are those ? Cheers from NZ
Those are EMGO
Blue and wht union jack style peace ✌️
Awesome!
Can surface rust be clear coated , I think that would look really good !
It can and would be cool!
Metal flake blue
Beautiful!
✌️
Hi Mom!
Have you ever considered using a mini keg for an oil bag?
I've seen it done!
Black
you can never go wrong with black!
Classic Colour sceme in PastelPink with black and gold striping.
Oh Man that is hot!
The upper bracket for the rear mudguard has gotta go. Fab a new one using the bungs for the battery mount.
Paint it sky blue and white. Black frame.
Great Idea!
A good bracket does a job. A great bracket does 2 jobs.
Black with white accents!
Classy!
Black frame and clear coat the bare metal tank and fender. Not sure how to paint the oil tank. A black oil tank might stop the black battery from standing out so much. Or, black frame and a dark rich red tank and fender with slim to no metal flake.
Great ideas!
whats with yanks and choppers and bobbers personally i would of used a t140v engine for the splayed head and mid level straight thrus like a bsa hornet i know its the customers but not running a front brake i would of gone for a disc rear brake just for safety sake not 50s-60s look i know id paint it polychromatic blue
All great ideas!
Great video. I'm doing a fundraiser for Forgotten Angel's this summer and I may need some guidance if your down to help another creator man. Love the video
Oh man! What's your thoughts?
@weemsmotorco I've got a CB 750 chopper I'm thinking about raffling off maybe this summer when I'm finished it with it and using the majority of the proceeds to give to forgotten angels. I've seen it on your channel and would love to help them out. I had my painter do an amazing paint job on it, but I build mostly shovelheads and panheads and the cb is kinda like a step child lol so I figured I could do something good with it. I'm in TN and your in Florida and you have the relationship with them, so if I can pull it off, maybe you can present them with donation for me. The bike is briefly in my last video if you wanna see it.
I'd paint it British racing green with metal flake
Killer pick!
@@weemsmotorco I always wanted to do a bike in that color. Maybe my next build?
If it was my motorcycle I could see it in a bright green with HEAVY metal flake clear coat
Sounds RAD!
I dunno about the color but my workshop is hald the size and I want to know how u keep ur's clean Im building a chop for my youngest and the grinding dust alone is a nightmare
I constantly have to clean up after myself!
How do you overcome the chain to tire sidewall clearance issues for the 16" wheel/tire combo? Any tips?
It is all about lacing the offset. It is tough for sure!
@@weemsmotorco Is that a 16" or 18" wheel?
I have had my Triumph Tr-6 with a hard tail and magneto for 40 years. I need the motor on my BSA C-15 250 with a B25 . Can you help me with it. I live in SW FLORIDA in Punta Gorda 100 miles south of you. I have a spare motor for parts if needed. Please l love this little bike.
Oh man, I do not know anyone with a BSA 250 engine!
@@weemsmotorco Does that mean you won't help me with her. I do have a spare bottom end with a barrel.
