I'm enjoying the series on this bike so far, thanks! It's so satisfying to dig into an old bike and see what's sticking, what's doing what, what's not doing what.... I'm lucky enough to have a friend with a shop, and yesterday I got to take my oil pump out, take it apart, look at every little thing, clean it and put it back. Now I feel like the internals of a 1966 Triumph motorcycle are less mysterious, and more personal to me, the current owner. (The pump looked fine, but it was nice to see that in person.)
Thanks for showing how it can go….. not always awesome. It gives me hope for my crusty old enduro that I’m working on . Good video. I’m relatively new to the channel via Shadetree Surgeon.
Well it seems this is truly a worthy project! Da Judge bike was only seven years old when I was born into this world. I truly love those old Triumphs! I have a 03 Bonneville that I will keep till I kick the bucket and pass it on down to whichever grandkid wants to keep a piece of ol' grandpa around lol! I don't really have a mechanical bone in my body and I applaud what you do for the motorcycle world of Triumph. I turn 66 this month. Hmmm, I think a Weems Motor Co hat or tee shirt would be most excellent for my B-day present with some free stickers. I do believe I shall! Loved the video, and look forward to next week's edition. Ride those Triumphs and stay safe down in hot Fla!
Good Luck with the Judge Mr. Weems. I actually love an intact rust bucket. Cleaning all the parts and replacing very little is so satisfying when she fires to life again. Mine were Pans and Ironheads and the occasional Indian but everything with two wheels is worthy of love and attention. A sad statement about today's riders; " few know their hand signals and think turn signals and brake lights are mandatory!". You are in my prayers Hoka Hey
Theory is systematic. Nice work Mr Weems. My spare time used to be figuring this stuff out because I would buy problem bike and fix most of the time LOL
Does anyone else spend their time looking around in the background for ghosts? Had to watch the vid twice- once ghost hunting and the 2nd time for the content...LoL
The Judge would be proud. I'm all for patina, but you want to do things to "stop the bleeding" so to speak... like maybe add some leather to or reupholster that entire seat with some old leather so the foam isn't showing. The way it is now it's only going to get worse.
Honestly all you have to do is make sure. You have power running to the points.then you just try to start it with the plug or coil wire touching metal.you’ll see spark if there’s juice running to the points.never used a tester myself.if it’s jumping spark & there’s compression.should start.
You should be called ...oscar goldman 😂(for all you youngsters, oscar goldman was the boss /friend of steve austin ...the six million dollar man ) cmon jared ,you can rebuild her 😁. Good luck mate 👍. Peace out ✌️
Love your content and the charity organisation that you support. Well done, I'm gonna keep watching. 👍✌🇬🇧
Welcome aboard!
The Sherlock of the triumph MC,Good stuff Dude
Thanks Friend! We will get this fixed!
I just love how you're doing the inner workings only to preserve how she was when you got her. Great content man as always❤
I appreciate that! Hope ya like it!

Isn't it fun!!!!!
Probably the coolest build series om youtube at the moment. This bike has such a tough look and a wicked history
Anthony, we are glad you are enjoying it! There is a ton of content coming out on it.

Glad to help! It's not always good, but with enough motivation and money you can make anything happen!
A lot of work there, but a great reward when you ride it! 😉 🏍
You got that right!
Yes, and helping people like me to learn about building and restoration as the project progresses. Jared makes it look so easy.
this is going to be an awesome journey...happy you are taking us along.
That's the plan! Hope you enjoy the journey!!!!
Bummer on it being locked up. But, Jared You are the Man for the Job!!!
You know it!
the journey makes the love
It’s a rough road for sure!
Sorry to see both are locked up . Time to tear everything apart
Yup! Down to the sludgetrap!

JD, Thanks for the watch and we would love to have you support us and rock one of our Hats! Happy Birthday!
Great video, i know you will get it going. God bless brother.
Fingers crossed!
It will turn over 👍🏻👍🏻(as soon as you are done rebuilding it haha)
Nope. Locked Solid...but we will fix it!!!!
Good Luck with the Judge Mr. Weems.

Hoka Hey
Van, as always thanks for watching and we will get this bike back on the road!
i agree with your prediction so as soon as I take one into my Bat Cave (garage I zip tie the clutch lever to the bar....
That’s a great idea!!!
Theory is systematic. Nice work Mr Weems. My spare time used to be figuring this stuff out because I would buy problem bike and fix most of the time LOL
I love doing this!!!!
@@weemsmotorco I did too. Ran low on time
being an investigator is so fun
But sometimes what you discover is not so good!
Stay tuned!!!
It Will Get Done!
Good afternoon Weems Motor Co 😊
Howdy Bruno!
Good thing that bike is yours and not mine. At least with you, it has a chance of running again...haha
Go get'em Weems.
Challenge accepted!!!!
Does anyone else spend their time looking around in the background for ghosts? Had to watch the vid twice- once ghost hunting and the 2nd time for the content...LoL
I am also constantly looking during my edits!!!
Yep I've looked around. After my mom died I swear I heard sounds in the house for awhile, similar to the sounds she made while getting ready for work.
The judge had some good taste
Definitely did!
Bummer but at least you can handle the task at hand
We've got this!!!
The Judge would be proud. I'm all for patina, but you want to do things to "stop the bleeding" so to speak... like maybe add some leather to or reupholster that entire seat with some old leather so the foam isn't showing. The way it is now it's only going to get worse.
We are already on it!!!
Weems, I believe if you remove that piece of chain, it may still not rotate so you may have to rebuild that tranny and the engine both
You are correct!
Are the 6ts supposed to Have a cushdrive or solid drive sprocket? With no rubbers in clutch basket I would think cushdrive.great videos!
It depends on the year. The engine in this bike is 1959.
Was it underwater? Lol. Overhaul will be great content. All the best
Who knows! But we are going to make it right!
You'll get to the bottom of it..... The Judge... great name for a classic bike.
All the way to the bottom!
My old 51 Thunderbird chopper had a lock up in the gearbox
Oh Man! What happened!?!?!?
I have heard pre unit heads prone to cracking. Do you know if this is true. And if so. How do you go about repairing them? Thanks
Yes they are, if they are over torqued or unevenly done so they will crack from the head bolt holes into the combustion chamber!
You work with a lot of pre units. Have been lucky enough to have good heads. Or was 1 ever repaired? Thanks
Hey what does everyone like to use to check for spark? Thanks. I see HB has an in-line tester only 4.99

I just do a visual check with the plugs out of the head.
This being a magneto fired bike you have to rotate the engine.
Ok thanks for the help Recycled and Jared. I have a little 2 stroke edger that doesn't run. Found the manual, looks interesting with the adjustments.
i feel some oil sludge trap action and chewed transmission bushes coming on, better get a wriggle on.
All the way down to the sludge trap for sure!!!
Can I have my triumph back please.🤭 (Hehe) Love from over the pond! 🇬🇧👍🇬🇧
LoL.....NOPE!!!!! I'm in love with this bike!

Classic, We are going to do it!
it will turn
We wished!
caN'T GET LUCKY EVERY SINGLE TIME. lol
Nope, sometimes it is hard work and money spent that will get you where ya wanna be!
Broken shift fork is my guess
If that was the only problem!
did you ever figure out who the mystery girl was in your garage
Some questions shouldn't be answered.
Wow, I'd like to know this too!
Nope, I keep waiting and watching to see if she appears again!!!!
more than likely
It is Bad!
i think it is going to move lube the cylinders again...
Not a chance for it!
The chain could be jamming it
We were hoping so. But nope!
😎👍😎
Thanks Jerry!
Way too much talking and not enough walking...
We don't plan to walk.....We plan to Ride!!!!
