Lovely piano music! Thank you for that! And standing there, looking at the improvement, realizing that the numberplate now will ruin the whole view! Looks good mr Fillingham!
😅reminds me of when I removed my rear fender 4yrs ago without much instruction available. You’re spot on - took about 2hrs and the engineer who designed the battery box should be made to sit in a corner. I do like the ribbed top on the stock fenders so just cut up a stock fender and shortened much more than that one. Looking forward to seeing the lights and plate solution you use.
That looks so much better. We'll worth the faffage. It was that rear end that put me off the bobber and I ended up with the Speedmaster instead. Looking forward to seeing the finished article with all the lights and plate. Cheers Uncle Stu for another cracking video.
Morning Stu. That’s definitely the style of rear mudguard that Triumph should have fitted. So much more in tune with the rest of the bike. I looked at the bobber before buying my Interceptor. I liked the styling but I didn’t want a 1200. If they had made a 650 I may have been tempted.
@@dalewintle8099 Hi Dale. I the Shotgun at the NEC bike show the other year. I liked the bike but not the paint scheme. I love my Interceptor now. It would take a lot of leverage to get me to change.
@@stevewalker2047 Yes I have to agree I too love everything about my Interceptor , especially now I have added all the mods I wanted , but I do have a soft spot for a bobber , but it would have to be something special.
Morning Stewart. Seems like a lot of messing about to change a simple mudguard. Remember spring washers before lock tight? That said can't wait to see the end produce. Happy safe cruising sir 😊👍.
Just came across your shadow ban video and I agree it must have been the case. So I am going ahead and liking as many videos as possible. I would urge other viewers to do the same. Stay strong and keep pushing.
It does look better Stuart and I do the same thing as you If I take something apart I also clean everthing you can get to when it's all together.👍 Cheers
Some say that Erik Satie was thinking about bobbing his Triumph when he composed Gymnopedie.... I'm away to bob my bike; now where is the anglegrinder ????
Ayyyyyy-Up Stuart, Great quality video as usual, informative and what looks to be a nice piece of kit from motone, It's the content I don't get, these type of bikes are difficult enough to keep clean on the uk, so why replace a full mudgard with a half one. Now you have arse about trying to fit number plates and lights, it looked like a Bobber Before and it looks like Bobber now. What's the point. Get it out and ride it dont hide it!
Lords teeth Stu, what a faff to modify. Luckily I've never liked the bagger, however if I did have a change of heart something like this would put me off purchasing. Thanks for a great informative video.
Amazing this is actually what I've been brainstorming for the last few days. I hate the Bobber rear end/mudguard but the solutions apart from the £1200 + Thornton Hundred trident style hub mounted wrap around involve an illegal side mounted plate. I know mature Triumph owners get a pass as I have several times speeding on my SE but getting it through MOT and being certain a stroppy bobby of which I've met a few not a lot won't use it against you? I love Bobber with as you say a proper rear end would own one and can afford one. The standard bike looks so Heath Robinson I don't like it, it defeats the whole point. As regards Bobbies I'm fully aware that you are one of the finest Yorkshiremen to ever put on the uniform but I live in the south so you know what I mean. Looking forward to part two of this. My other complaint about the Bobber is inner tubes checked out spoke tubeless rims £2500 + a set. I like the green and silver tank the skinny front hoop and the apes. Still adding to the piggy bank I'm an old duffer so I'm 'careful' with my pennies.
Hello. I would like to ask a question about the bonneville bobber exhaust, I noticed that in the exhaust there is an H-Pipe that connects both sides, is there any problem using an exhaust that is direct from the engine and independent of the other exhaust without the H- Pipe or X-Pipe? You would help me a lot by answering this question, I can't find it anywhere. What's the problem with using it like this?
I wish I cleaned mine before putting the wheel back on. Trying to get to those spaces is problematic and such a faff. I think this job took me a good 2hrs and I was beginning to lose the plot
I like that manufacturers try different styles. But if that was my bike I would look to fitting guards that work. I have a flattracker with no front guard. But it's misery if you get caught in the rain. I have bikes with short rear guards and in the rain you get a wet dirty back. The gold flash with large guards is the best in the rain. But not so pretty.
Well I wish they showed you haw too do littie things on all bikes, But to remove rear brake pads and a brake lever on a Piaggio mp3 is not easy. First the exhaust pipe is in the way of the rear pads.....and the front brake lever, there's no screws near it to take it off. PDF Workshop manual cost and tools lol.
I had lost all my respect for any company mec. When I picked up 800 Vulcan and they buggerd the chrome cast oil fill cap. Than said they didn't do it. They later went out of business. Now it is a thrift store. That we frequently find Auto parts motorcycle parts new and lightly used products 😂😂😂❤. KARMA IS A GREAT THING. And it is coming to Lord near you soon. Lord of Darkness Lucas off course 😂. Lol You of course are starting to look pretty BAD ASS to be Bobbing. 😮 If you're knot working on living you'll be fixing on d.....

I admire your skill and patience Stu' but, personally I would have ended up taking a pair of tin snips to the origional mudguard in situ
A gold chain would be a great addition to this beautifull bike!
Good job!

Ironically, I was the opposite- loved the look of the Speedy , but didn’t like the rear guard
If you don´t like the Bobber´s rear end, you don´t need a Bobber at all. It is what makes a Bobber a Bobber,
Fantastic job you must have the patiance of a saint , look forward to the completion , well done .
That's one of the most beautiful motorcycles I've ever seen

Hey Steve RE are rumoured to have a 650 Bobber coming out called the Shotgun , I think I could be tempted to swap my interceptor for that.

Brilliant video as always Stuart and I agree, the motone mudguard looks a lot better 😃👍🏻

Love it mate.....I’m now thinking of selling my Thruxton and buying a Bobber Black 🤔
Great video as always ,Nice addition to the rear Stu ,I`d be interested to see the durability of the wax oil on the rear mud guard.
Profile of new mudgard nicly matches the front 1.makes bike look as it should have frm the factory
Lookin fwd to tail light fiting and look now
That does look a lot better and cleaner. Sadly regulations get in the way of simplification
l live in Spain where any modification is a big No, No! as far as the ITV...(MOT)..is concerned...

The bobber is not for riding but it is nice to look at
It wouldn't be a very interesting Bike customization series if he took that attitude in every episode would it?

That is a good lookin' scooter. 😎👍
For a job requiring this much patience, a bit of Erik Satie to listen to certain helps. 😊
Hi Stuart
Fitted the pico. Followed your install instructions.
Set to type-4. When I started the bike the flash rate increased.
Any advice please?
Beautiful, now do they make a full size one…Japan requires you to have a license plate and red reflector that sticks out over the rear tire.
What about the number plate mount?

What about the Mudguarding?
Is that taken care too or its going to be a muddy back after every wet ride?
Good Sir, where did you buy your gold accented parts from?
motone customs
Was that a bit of Chopin playing in the background Stewart?
Whoops Stuart not Stewart 😮
Great video but discount code doesn't work 😕
