my guess is that tanner and marie sorta had a bit of an argument in spectral spat and boyfriend wanted to calm em down in scuffle, it sorta seems like a bit of a race to the finish line, with said line being the black tar, cos maybe in illustrious, the black tar might be the door out of the theatre and in illustrious, tanner and marie forgave each other and exited the theatre together
The old harpsichord used for the ghosts’ voices really give a unique tone that you don’t really see in other music.
