My suggestion would be to list the plane on Barnstormers for $25 and then fill out the extremely brief form AC-8050-2. The buyer pays the $5 registration fee. Done!

WOW VERY GOOD INFO !! I found a kit fox 4 in a barn !! Barn finder !! Owner passed away , and daughter sold it to me for 4,500 with a trailer too !! I don't even fly !! LOL !! however I do need to register, and get the right bill of sale. Its not like buying a car for sure. My dream come true my own airplane . NOW WHAT ?? thanks again

I sold 1/2 my aircraft to another person. Any idea how to fill this form out for that circumstance? Do I need to sill ALL of the aircraft and then list myself and the other pilot as purchasers? Thanks if you can answer that one ...
yeah i am in a partnership and own 1/3rd share. I am selling my 1/3rd share and exiting the partnership. trying to figure this out at the moment!
@@Abra089 I submitted a Bill of Sale from me to the other pilot with "50% ownership only" over the new owners name. I sent the form in with a regristation renewal form (since it is also due). I got back a new registration in my name only. No word on the Bill of Sale. I suspect it's been swallowed into the void.
