She’s his former coworker from a toxic job that she got out of. They were probably friendly acquaintances when she worked there, but now she just sees the protagonist as a reminder of the negative past. He begged to meet with her late at night, not taking into account her schedule or desires. From her perspective, he’s an annoying person from the past and it was only for their friendship that she agreed to meet in the first place.
As I perceived it, he wasn't fully aware of the consequences of putting it in "consider". When his boss died he seemed genuinely shocked/surprised at first, and then - admittedly, with naughty pleasure - realized what happened.
I think he knew it was gonna kill anyone who puts it in "pass" and that's why he didn't risk putting it himself, since he knows for sure that the script was s**ty he was expecting this to happen in a way or another.
So I think he actually killed the boss, and the whole script business was a facade and he had written it himself. He had no friends, hated his boss and probably wanted to take his position. At the end one of the employees do say that an executive spot just opened up, which explains his quote about achieving his dreams. Also I don't think he would smile at his boss dying if he didn't actually do it.
@@19inkorrect91 Actually, I disagree. We all know that a horror picture is not going to be about morally right actions for the most part. They are about murder and other sinister happenings. They are usually about EVIL. If you are looking for some guy doing the right thing, whatever that may be, I suggest other programming. As a story, I thought it was pretty ingenious. He was trapped, and he took the only exit he saw, and yes that was horrific. That is the whole point!
Jon Fernandez suddenly, the thought dawned on me that your ‘swingline’ stapler must have suddenly swung into another scene, into the crime scene; it’s red plastic and machine-molded metal suddenly stuck into the long bad hair of the boss, suddenly killing him for all time.
2:39 someone an Edgar Wright fan (yeah i know Wright wasn't the first to do so but Tarantino isn't the first to focus on feet and yet, here we are) BTW, i Love Edgar Wright's films
I figured out his only move ahead of time and while not surprised at the expected ending, I was pleased for our protagonist. His smirk was so worth the wait!
God I love this crazy little film. It's all the little moments that make it so wonderful. The hated Gregory's expression at 1:09 speaks volumes about the work environment he has created.
Wait a minute... Did HE?! Did he just do it? Is he the one who made the script, etc. etc., then killed his boss? The smirks made me wonder what if... *Should've called Suddenly*
My hypothesis is that it was a planned murder in which he used the script as a cover to kill his boss. Especially if you notice his grin at the end of the film which indicates his plan was a success.
Well a while ago I watched a video on movie curses and there was a particular curse that was apparently attached to a movie script that happened in the seventies and eighties I think and people that worked on it passed away and other things I think but I don’t remember the name of the movie is called attuk and has never been worked on since and this short film just reminds me of the curses video I watched
So, at 7:18, just before he drops it into the Consider tray, he focuses on the red stapler, then on his 'Believe in the magic of your dreams' quote. Sounds like he does now believe, and puts the script there not just to avoid the curse for himself, but to transfer it on to his boss, who will read the same words. He realizes he no longer has to be worried about his boss firing him for considering a bad script, because a Pass will also be magically lethal to the boss. If this is the intention, some plot holes are that the boss does not have an orange mug, the same quote on his wall, or a red stapler (or maybe he does have these things, and they were just not shown in an establishing shot of the boss's desk). If it's the reader's red stapler, and it flew through the air from his desk to the boss's skull, then not only is that not the narrative in the story, but he'll have some trouble explaining his fingerprints on it. Or it may be that he did it the old-fashioned way, hiding in the boss's office, bashing him with the stapler before anyone else arrives, leaving to come back on time with everyone else as an alibi, and hoping the script will be a false trail to divert attention. So, all in all, some pretty weak possibilities, plot-wise. Not Omeleto's usual level of excellence. Still, an engaging if somewhat mediocre little piece.
The script was haunted and since he didn't put it in the Pass pile, it didn't kill him, but his boss DID put it in the pass pile, so the boss was killed by the haunted script. That's how I interpret it.
I am absolutely sure that this film only got made because someone got freaked out and put the script in the consider pile.
Well it worked didn't it
He's lucky the curse was almost instant. So the boss didn't have time to fire his ass.
its not the boss the long hair guy is the boss
His smile in the end was creepier than the script.
Not really, it was a small smirk
@@Ahmed-DB nah creepy smile
The real curse was to have her as his friend.
I don’t think she’s an absolutely awful friend tbh
Yeah but pretty she sure is
Definitely.
Yeah, Im 2 minutes in and I hate her
She’s his friend? She sure sucks at that.
It’s Hollywood, babe.

emmandaline - I just felt that the writer/director/actress took this character and turned her into someone extremely self absorbed and annoying.
Good thing she is not his girlfriend, that would suck worse.
Andrew Heffel - Man, you said it. I watched the video again and that girl was so cringeworthy in that role. It was painful.
The script gets him to choose loosing his job or his life, it's a matter of priorities.. so he chooses to keep both and loose his morals.
As I perceived it, he wasn't fully aware of the consequences of putting it in "consider". When his boss died he seemed genuinely shocked/surprised at first, and then - admittedly, with naughty pleasure - realized what happened.
He didn’t know it was gonna kill his boss
I think he knew it was gonna kill anyone who puts it in "pass" and that's why he didn't risk putting it himself, since he knows for sure that the script was s**ty he was expecting this to happen in a way or another.
I think the script was his "murder script", that way he's going to kill his boss and blame the script for being possessed or something
Nah. He just realized that he made the right decision and could potentially benefit from it.
@@niks1538 yeah or that lol
That is actually very clever of him if it was a planned murder!
It's fiction. The thing that u can't pass up.. so, dang literal .
I kinda had the same interpretation. But mine is, he killed his boss with the red stapler first so that the curse won't come for him anymore.
Legend has it he still has the script, and passes it to people he doesn't like.
“Believe in the magic of your dreams”
You're the lady in that film!
Guilty. It’s my favorite line.
@@katiekohler5649 He's not gonna get that executive job when you accuse him of murder. Haha 😅
Great job Ms. Katie. And i hope your dreams do come true magically or not. Your awesome.

Yeah it showed he has a dark devious side , i guess he wants that executive position now.

I loved the transitions.... great job
This was good, because it was so creepy. The script was creepy, and in a way that made him creepy because he resorted to a creepy solution.
So it's creepy? Haha, repeatedly said like suddenly in the short film .
Then janeaparis suddenly typed the word creepy. It was so sudden that suddenly another person suddenly replied 2 weeks later. It was creepy
Wasn't that much if a creepy solution.

His smile at the last scene creeped me out. Was he happy that he wasn't the one who died??? Damn I hate this
nah, he juse put the script in the consider side, planing that his boss would read it and put in the pass side and die.
I thumbed this up just for the creepy half-smile at the end

I would have simply got rid of the stapler, problem solved. lol
Because there is only one red stapler in the whole wide world?
Why didn't he burn the script? :)
Great cinematography with just the right blend of menace and humor, lol
notice that he's still wearing the same shirt as yesterday's
so?

Anyone else get creeped out by the fact that the friend from the restaurant is in the comment section?
Yes Jason, you killed it! And who's the handsome guy in the blue shirt in the opening shot???
Max Kaplow wait
He" passed the buck and the buck stopped there" along with his red stapler he drop off too, on to the desk of an executive.
So good. So well done by the leads, just a great watch. Shocked at the view count, more people need to see this!
Clevvvvver! No, I actually really enjoyed this. Good work.
That was fun. But what if Gregory didn't own a red stapler?
This is the history of this script. That is how it reached here.
suddenly, suddenly, suddenly, suddenly, life is but a dream
Such clever transitions and dialog is awesome!
Awesome blend of comedy and horror. Love the transitions. Nice job.
where is the comedy on that😊

Loved it! Lookout for Jason Kessler, This guys a great one!

He was smiling because now an executive spot is open. another man's loss is another man's profit.
And because he realizes he can now use the script to get rid of any higher ups in the industry.
I'd seen this before. Forgot how good it is! Great job by everyone. Yes, Jonathan can have a creepy smile.
PAULARUSSELLBAND GUILTY AS CHARGED!

How would you determine if it was real?

I enjoy the film's on omeleto, always with a twist at end.
The script you read, the script you need, the script that said, the script to Dead.
So compelling! Very creepy!!
Very well done!
well he is fvckin smart! not all those main characters in hollywood movies !
A stapler though??
I expected that woman to be found dead, because he read out (parts of) the script to her.
I can’t understand what the other guy says at the end!! Someone help
Looks like an executive spot just opened up
bruh, love this channel!!
I was sure the woman was going to be the one who wrote the script, and she was gonna kill him.
Well done guys.
Why would he read the entire script if the writing is so bad? He would have tossed it before he even got to the end.
How... 😎... Considerate.

Stranger Than Fiction (2006)
So he passed it and the boss died?🤔
no. he put it in the Consider pile but the boss then put it in the Pass pile. so the boss died.
someone speculated the script was actually his "murder script", which he planned to use to kill his boss and blame it for being possessed
oooooooh!!!!! he put it in the pass pile! so the boss read it waaah
and he changed the story! because in the script the reader put it in the trash bin
Waay too short!!
great ending!
Did he just kill posty?
Good stuff
Great script- very clever and well executed.
the blonde women's pupils are abnormally dilated..
She either used belladonna/some other drug, or she's in love with him.
I did guess what he would do because that's what I would have done......
It is clear that he wrote the script and killed the boss
Em when we will see next part of The movie Corporate Monster pliz give me just a reply
What the hell
Plot Twist - He actually made all this up to kill hiss boss and had his friend as a witness .
So that he cann't be blamed for tge murder .
I am NOT Gregory....just sayin'
I would scrub a foot scrub on her face if I were him.
Can someone explain please?
The script was haunted and since he didn't put it in the Pass pile, it didn't kill him, but his boss DID put it in the pass pile, so the boss was killed by the haunted script. That's how I interpret it.
Yea, he made the most logical solution

I was hoping he’d do that 😂
Is Jason Kessler still alive?

This film was made because someone wrote this cheese script!
