The unfortunate result of gaining a larger audience is that the masses are rude, disrespectful and discourteous, to put it lightly... The bigger you get the further the quality of your audience will degrade. Take a look at the comment section underneath AvE's older videos vs. his newer ones for a great example. I thought I was going to come off strange when I chose to mention your channel to them (all gay males) one evening over dinner and drinks. Turned out that not only had they all known of you, but most of them are subscribed to you! Not for any strange or superficial reasons, but because you teach compassionate, inclusive, and NEEDED lessons on the value of kind, mature, and responsible masculinity and basic goodness that transcends gender, orientation, religion, etc. Keep up what you're doing. Your words are being heard by many people, and they are creating real-world positive change.

Sometimes I change my viewpoint regarding something after having a discussion with the opposing party. I don’t want someone to “protect” me from someone who may be beneficial for my development. Keep in mind, good sir, that ppl are having civil unrest thrust upon them like has never been seen before in history! Old tactics of divide and conquer, with many new points of attack. E.g. radio, internet, tv, politics, war, religion...all have been revamped to cause this! Not justifying nor excusing anything you are in disdain about, your reprimand was EXCELLENT!
White chili sounds delicious! Ya may try cream of mushroom as alternative, and if you brave tomatoes...make sure they are prepared properly such as boil peeled. 18th century insight from the excellent channel "Townsend" explained to me, not long ago tomatoes were considered poison! I often get acid problems with tomatoes, which is horrible, and ruins my Italian heritage meals. Seems to me the skin, and the seeds are the main culprit, having had a great tomato harvest this year and experimenting. Just had canned tomatoes last night, boil peeled and store bought with no issues! Careless manufacturing had increased as of late.
    Best regards from the burbs🤠

Never heard of the guy before and I didn't see anything from him that would lead me to subscribe to his channel but I didn't see anything wrong with how the interview went. As a people we have mostly lost the ability to engage in civil discourse/debate without it becoming hateful or demeaning. In my view this was an engaging discussion between intelligent Men with different thoughts and views. As always I was truly impressed with Dewayne and his thoughtful ability to articulate his position throughout the discussion. It was obvious to me that Dewayne was enjoying the the debate and conversation. Anyway I am glad I watched it and I am glad Dewayne made the follow up video. I think meaningful conversations occur when folks listen before they think and then think before they speak. Dewayne exemplified that perfectly (but that's just my opinion).

People are more drawn to the idea they have of somebody or something than the actual person or lifestyle. Hence the reason for the success of shows like Yellowstone. That goes for the other thing you mentioned. Here in Eastern Europe, when we think of the USA, we most admire the American entrepreneurship and drive for success as opposed to the acceptance, resignation and lack of initiative we experience in post-soviet societies. So a successful businessman is as much a symbol of America's greatness as the cowboy. In fact, a cowboy always was an entrepreneur with a good heart. And there are many roads to a good life and many paths to the truth, and we must respect others if we demand that ours should be respected.

Lots of respect for you, as always Dewayne. As for merch, I’m curious as to which company y’all ended up going with. I’m a graphic designer for a USA-based apparel print facility and so I have some working knowledge of the print-on-demand industry. It sounds like you might already have stuff figured out but, still, if it’s something you’d be interested in, I’d be more than happy to help explore merch options even if it’s not through where I work. Your videos have helped me through some pretty rough life stuff this past year and I’d just be happy to give back.

I just finished watching the podcast. Great interview! Great discourse. Different perspectives and I enjoyed listening to hearing both viewpoints. Years ago I used to love watching a PBS show, I believe it was called Meet the Press as it would have several people sit around and discuss various topics and they didn't always agree but it was a respectful conversation. I learned so much from that show. Different viewponts and how to have a conversation when you have a different opinion. You stayed true to yourself and respected the hosts viewpoint. I don't understand why the negative comments except maybe your audience was being protective and loyal. Keep being true to yourself!

Haven't had a chance to watch the podcast but I respect you owning this and addressing it for what it is Dewayne. The internet is fueled by vitriol now and it is refreshing to see someone calm and levelheaded discuss the fact that we need to be able to have conversations again with both sides being heard without disrespect. Huge respect from me. Cheers and God bless

Its commendable of you to expect such a high standard from your audience. Most people let them run wild but for you to address them directly like this is very refreshing! Ive been watching you for years now, and its awesome to see you sticking to your values and living it up with your lady. Later brother!

I appreciate your passion for education and self improvement, and that you and Mama work hard to give the gift of wisdom and knowledge to everyone here. I especially appreciate that you embrace and welcome a diversity of worldviews, and your efforts to bring people together in a world that feels like it’s trying to push people apart. Dwayne you're a gatekeeper, and possibly a watchman in this night season. Wise indeed and likely not through secular wisdom. I don't have a sons, but I have nephews, whom I love dearly. Young and impressionable, and I've recommended your channel. Viewers don't know either of you men --apart from your online content and character. Viewers know what's edited, or curated, and uploaded. In this virtual arena, posting this man's message, on your channel, is akin to letting this character passed the gate.
Your channel's a treasure, and your content often adds value to the lives of the listeners. (Here's wisdom--Luke 12:42-48) 💛Thank you brother.

Dewayne, your words have helped me so much. I’m at a point in my life where I don’t just want to turn the page to start a new chapter in my life, I want to close this book and start a new one. I want to experience the ranch life. I’m a young guy in my twenties and I’d happily work for you for free. I’ve had a good education and schooling but I want to be surrounded by a wisdom that can’t be found in textbooks. I don’t expect that you’ll see this message but I respect you a lot and I just hope you see this I don’t know how else to get in touch with you

So coincidental but I couldn't find my way back to your channel but Brad's was in my feed and I just left a comment on there, not knowing there was rudeness going on. I felt something about Brad that he is further along and closer than he thinks (and obviously others think)..Thank you for the very valuable lesson on choosing to be in God's family. Lastly, in AA they have a saying about taking what you need and leaving the rest. Pretty good advice.

If less than 1% of people leave negative comments, then you are doing well in this world of keyboard warriors. One million ppl watch this stuff so the % of negative is so small that they aren’t worth your time.
Look at the good 99%. I quit making videos 6 years ago and still get stuff I’d prefer not to see on my old videos. I fully agree with your approach.
My Dad always says “discussion is always better than debate and have an open mind, just not one so open your brain falls out.” He watches you so I wanted to make sure I get the quote exact. Lol

I gave my grandson, 9 years old, the complete diary of the original Lewis and Clark Expedition of Discovery for Christmas. For those who may think this too difficult for a nine year old - he finished reading the Iliad last September and was reading the Odyssey. His interests in reading may have been prompted by his old grandpa who told tales of reading the works of Homer in Latin. Just saying. My wife and I encouraged in our children a love of reading. It is generational. I find books written around the late 1800’s and early 1900’s especially interesting. Thank you and Mama for the emphasis you place on reading. Much appreciated.
