I'm a 16 year old boy and I started watching your videos and I feel like this is the closest I've gotten to a father figure. I have a dad but even though he lives with me and my mom it feels like I just don't have a father. He gets home from work, he sometimes doesn't even say hi to me and then he goes and plays video games. I appreciate these videos you make. Thank you.
Absolutely right…. someone with a bad attitude will always get found out and won’t be employed long….. and won’t get repeat custom if they happen to be self employed or own a business….
Dewayne, When I watch your videos I get the sense of listening to a friend who's been through the same things as I have. I'm a little older than you (67). My wife and I are on an incredible journey towards the goal of building our on home with our own hands after renting for 40 years. Carpenter, Farrier (for 20 years) and after "retiring" from Horse shoeing I started my Architectural Blacksmith shop (railings, gates furniture, knives, axes, tool making and teaching). Our property is 750 miles away near Flagstaff Az. So for the past 7 years I have traveled back and forth dozens of time hauling thousands of lbs. of lumber. My 2007 Ford F350 has 196,000 miles on it. The maintenance is crucial. I have to cross the Mojave desert every time. I carry tools, spare parts, duct tape and bailing wire (just in case). It has never stranded me in the middle of no where (which is most of the trip!). It used to scare me in the beginning but after a while you become used to the danger and in my mind I know that whatever happens I will just deal with it. I guess you could call it the "Courage muscle". Nothing scares me anymore because I am on a quest and have the goal of living a life "rent free" . My son is a Master Diesel Mechanic and is the foreman/ shop manager for a Drilling Company. If the truck breaks down we will have a plan if needed. This has been the greatest adventure of my life. Sounds like we're on the same journey. God speed my friend.
@@NathanMulder Nathan, This is year 7 of a 5 year plan. I truly had no idea what it would take but I was willing to risk failure which was ever present in the beginning. Success is failure turned inside out. The challenges are real and daunting at times. Pandemic, inflation, supply issues, gas prices, building material price hikes and shortages....the list seems endless sometimes. It's the GOAL of living a life free of rent (for both our home and shop for 40 years). I always dreamed of building our home with my own hands. We started in 2016 when I turned 60! I'm a late bloomer boomer. hahaha. The only deadline is dying. Even if I die before finishing it's been the greatest adventure of my life and I am leaving a legacy for my children and grandbabies. It will be a place of sanctuary, refuge and safety for their lives as well. That gives me great comfort and peace. I am truly happy and blessed.
Start making changes by cutting out the toxic people, and surrounding yourself by positive thinkers who support your purpose. Thanks for the great examples DWayne, it's helpful
it really is one of the most important life lessons. It took me years to cut off a toxic friend who was constantly taking advantage of me financially, and of my good nature. for 10 + years he knew I would bend. One day I simply wasn't there for him anymore. and i'm not the only one. Life's about being happy and surrounding yourself with happy and productive, supporting people.
That would mean cutting out my family (only talking about mother, father, and brother). I first need to surround myself with positive people, before I can cut out the toxic people, as otherwise it is too big of a gap for me
My frieand. I have subscribed to your channel for a little while now and been watching your videos here and there. And I am yet to be dissapointed. Now, I am only 19 and have been working to help my family for almost a year now. But I am beginning to come to the point where I am finally able to focus on my goals and surprisingly, I have nothing.😅 I do have big goals like moving to the US, but I am scared and illadvised. And since I have watched your videos, I gained more and more confidence in myself, because you taught me more life lessons in 2 months than I have learnt in 5 years. I am more motivated, happier, well rounded and all around just better since an I can't thank you enough. If there is any way I could support you and your goal, please let me know. No matter how. The things you have taught me are more valuable than gold or ideas. I will pray for you and your crew's safe journey, luck and happiness and all the love. From an admirer; Peter Erdesz❤
You're videos have really helped guide me as the young man I want to be. Your vessel in a storm video was very helpful in particular as was the forging a tempered blade. She was the only person in my caravan. No other family. The only person I loved more than myself was my mother, and I lost her. My best friend and essentially my world. I lived with her during winters when I wasn't farming and ranching. Extreme grief is so damaging, the vehicle is a rusty bucket of bolts. When all your supports fail you, the obvious solution is to support yourself, but how do you maintain your maintenance. You are the type of man I want to be, and essentially a youtube father figure and it kills me that she will never get to see that evolution. I've been sleeping with her saddle on her side of the bed since. My destination always had my mother there, now that she's gone I feel like my destination is gone too. You're a good man Dwayne.

If you offered me any kind of position with your business I would be honored. I once mounted myself on a quarter horse bareback at 6 years old via a lawn chair. I didn't last long but it wasn't my horse's fault. God bless him. Running out across 20 acres bareback on the back of that horse was the most free feeling I ever had.

I learned a lot of life lessons painting houses. My dad was a WW2 vet he did carpenter and painting work and of course growing up I worked with him. When he retired I carried on the painting work. The goal was to ceil the outside of the house with painting and you got to do it. It was my lively hood and I had a reputation to uphold so it had to be done. Then to drive away knowing I did the job and the owner was satisfied there is a certain feeling from that, well it is hard to explain. You know what I mean. So I hear and feel what you are saying. Sometimes I wonder if I could live that way again but I guess I am too old. Well I will hush. Be good be safe and have fun. Wonder where that came from?
When you mention meerschaum pipe, I remember the movie "National Treasure" by Nickolas Cage. The meerschaum pipe scene was amazing. Now I see you have treasure in your hands in use.

I was a horse rider for a long time, it was probably my greatest talent in life Broke my leg on a rainy day and ever since then, I haven't ridden much (not out of fear, life just changed and what not, other responsibilities) As such, when I hear someone talk about horses (and roadtrips, which I also love), I feel a great sense of nostalgia That, combined with your wisdom and calm voice, made for an excellent talk from an excellent person Much love

My son is staying with me again he had his second motorcycle wreck in June he had a stroke this time. It's alot of work but I enjoy having him here with me.
Thank you for sharing your🐎 story with us!😊 It made a lot of sense, and it was a wonderful analogy! I've practiced a little *Mantra* in my own life; whenever I've been unexpectedly diverted from a person, place, or thing (like your whole crew was during the bad weather) and it absolutely works to keep me calm & focused! Whenever there's a traffic back up, or something else, like bad weather, or a longer line at the grocery store ect. I don't get impatient or upset about it; I just smile & remind myself that Divine Timing is always at work, and then I say my little mantra to myself: *It is NOT happening TO ME* *It is happening FOR ME* I hope that saying helps anyone who comes across this video & this comment! 🤗
Yet another snowstorm coming thru the Rockies here in northern CO. Building the time to hunker down if needed is a key part of any long trip. Just like in Life as you talk about. Being prepared is .. well maybe the actual thinking about being prepared as in not what do I need for this trip but first ' i better be prepared just in case something happens I dont think of.' Just thinking and setting your goals comes with age / maturing. I didnt have many goals in my 20s and 30s since I seemed to be happy but my work was enveloping my life, maybe too much so. But into my 50s that all changed where I started setting timeframes 'I'll do this for 2 years and if its good give it another year". Saw it thru that timeframe and learned it wasnt what i wanted to do forever. So I began figuring to set a new final goal. Now in my early 60s i wish I had set a couple goals earlier in life cause looking back I feel a little regret wasting so much time in one thing. But am hard charging now for the final right one in sight. Dwayne your video further reinforces good thinking for direction and goals. Safe travels, Be careful. Slow n Steady wins the race in the end !

So I don't see myself getting bored to soon. K, bye! I want to bring my girl to your school...
After getting diagnosed, my life has completely changed and I have been on a journey of self-discovery, health, and spirituality. I would not trade having a life-threating disease for anything, for what it has taught me in a few short years is more than most individuals learn in a lifetime Thank you Dewayne for spreading your wisdom and knowledge with us, it has helped many like me tremendously
the same here. Amazing what a health scare will do to your perceptions of things. Also amazing when the people around you can see what happened (and deny it) and have access to your medical records (but don't access them) and still tell you that YOU are the problem. I won't drag it out, and i have to tell you, you may hurt missing a person or two a lot....and the freedom to be away from nonsense, lies, and control over people being afraid of the flu is - officially - the most free i have ever felt in my life. I can take joy in seeing birds fly around the water again! I can gather happiness walking through the woods..AGAIN! Where i was, i would walk the trails near me, and every time i saw a person coming towards me, it just "soured the cream" of my pleasant walk in the woods! THAT is what society did with me. Now society gets a huge middle finger in its face, and i go enjoy coffee in the morning with moonlight over the Florida Bay!

Believe me I know because I visted my parents in Cody two weeks ago and was able to get in front of the snow storm they have been in. In Him.
Man, Thanks for your time and effort and sharing your experience with all the young bucks that didn’t have anybody to talk some sense to them.
Carry on!
👍
Sounds like caravan success also involves steady pace and consideration for others . . . @3:59: "And we're not in any kind of a hurry and I don't want to get anybody into a bind . . ."

Been following u guys since u started ur u tube channel stay safe and safe travels will be praying for u guys
I was a horse rider for a long time, it was probably my greatest talent in life
Broke my leg on a rainy day and ever since then, I haven't ridden much (not out of fear, life just changed and what not, other responsibilities)
As such, when I hear someone talk about horses (and roadtrips, which I also love), I feel a great sense of nostalgia
That, combined with your wisdom and calm voice, made for an excellent talk from an excellent person
Much love
All the best from Ireland☘️. Life..the biggest adventure.
Thanks for the life lesson, stay safe and enjoy the journey. See you soon!
Good advice. Thanks for sharing
Love your advice Dwayne. Thank you so much.
More food for thought! Thanks, Dewayne. 👍
Best wishes with your continued travels……prayers for you all!
Dewayne...OUTSTANDING...need to refine my plan as I go....Sometimes that seems the hardiest as I want to get to the goal but the route can change....results in me having to reassess and refine....it is an adventure though !!
🇺🇸🇵🇷🇵🇪😎 Road Trip!!! Happy Trails 🚙🚐🚗🚚🚛
Thank you for sharing. Great talk. Good advice. Solid words of wisdom.
Holding you and your caravan in the light, be safe out there. Thanks for the talk!
Having a TEAM that all pull together is invaluable. Pre-planning, having a plan, and proper maintenance whether for a trip, or just life makes such a difference.
Continue to take care on the rest of your trip. God Bless you all.
You always send the right message at just the right time. Thank you for your wisdom. God bless you and your caravan on your trip.
Thank you Dwayne awesome video as usual👍👍👍 no slackers no whiners no drama queens. That is the way you make a trip like that. Do not any include any of those. God bless.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
I had started to miss your videos and wondering if the trip was going well. So happy to see you all are ok. Best of lucks with the rest of the trip 💪
Fair winds and following seas. Great video and they always are.
Really appreciate your videos Dewayne, they really do help so many people including myself and I can't express this enough, so thanks a lot for everything
Great talk! Taking a project management class right now and you literally ticked every box about how to manage a project successfully! Amazing how life teaches us these lessons when we are actually doing something worthwhile and when you have a destination. Cheers and be safe out there🤓

Thanks Dewayne good video , Good video to relax and listen to, sounds like a fun trip
Great job yeah you have a good naket speaking and talking that's awesome keep that up stay safe have a good trip.
Thanks for the update on your journey! Your experience and attitude are very helpful to me. At 61 years old my horse (metaphor) sometimes meanders in the pasture and I fail to rein him in because I have lost sight of the goal. Thanks for the reminder that I have a part in leading the horse (i.e., my life). God bless!
My son is staying with me again he had his second motorcycle wreck in June he had a stroke this time. It's alot of work but I enjoy having him here with me.
May he recover soon.
Thankful for safe travels! God is with you all! Praise the Lord! Thanks for sharing this video!!
Someone filled that ol boy up to the top with wisdom.
Thank you for sharing your🐎 story with us!😊
It made a lot of sense, and it was a wonderful analogy!
I don't get impatient or upset about it; I just smile & remind myself that Divine Timing is always at work, and then I say my little mantra to myself:
*It is NOT happening TO ME*
*It is happening FOR ME*
I hope that saying helps anyone who comes across this video & this comment! 🤗
Yeah, understood, that's powerful C.C. Life is preparation, always... Peace and clarity.
Thank you Sir
Awesome when I see a video from you Dwayne you are soul healing and comforting to listen to. Thanks for being you
I always enjoyed your laid back style of content. Keep it up.
Glad you are well. I hope to be a deserving leader of a caravaan of sorts too. Im leading for the first time recently also.
A new Drycreek video is a good day
Real talk, Dwayne 💯
Good hearing your voice again, Dewayne.
I recently began working out again daily, and finally got a good job full time - fixing leaks on water mains. Good hard work, day and night. It’s quite the experience. 👷🏻
Hi Dwayne! i think you should do a ranch tour if it hasn’t been done already
"YOU are the vehicle that is making this journey."
Your metaphors are absolutely second to none, sir.
These analogies are always gold ❤
Oh what an adventure, your caravan is still on the road! So glad to hear all is well, enjoyed the words of wisdom. Stay safe as you travel on.
Sheridan Wyoming here, listened to your update. It sounds good. "Make a plan, work a plan," and it sounds like you did!
Watching from Guthrie OK and I’m so glad you all were able to safely navigate the other day with the fires during your stay. Here’s to next time being on more regular circumstances.
Thank you, Dewayne, and God bless 🙏🏼🔥💪🏽
I’m so thankful to have come across your channel and your wife’s! Exactly the family I want to cultivate. Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom and experiences🙏🏼
Thanks!! For me, its always been buildings and architecture. I love all the different buildings. From factories to little houses on the prairie. Now, I'm a landlord. Its what I love. All my properties are special in there own way. I try to bring them back to there origin and give them a family. Im a hyper. So I get bored really easy. Real estate is available world wide. So I don't see myself getting bored to soon. K, bye! I want to bring my girl to your school...
After getting diagnosed, my life has completely changed and I have been on a journey of self-discovery, health, and spirituality. I would not trade having a life-threating disease for anything, for what it has taught me in a few short years is more than most individuals learn in a lifetime
Thank you Dewayne for spreading your wisdom and knowledge with us,
it has helped many like me tremendously
the same here.
@@carlh-thehermitwithwi-fi679 That is beautifully written, nothing in life is better than the small things the world has to offer.
I'm glad to hear you are overcoming so much when others are putting you down!
Focus on yourself, raise your own frequency, and let the world rage on around you:)
What an interesting business venture you are doing. It's fun watching you pursue it.
Stay safe and I think you may be heading for deep snow
Needed this today.
sounds like a good trip ,
