I finished the game and trust me, I love it and I had so much fun!

Honestly, It isnt a bad game, secret final boss could've been better but yeah, i still hope for a Sonic rush remake at some point, just so i can fight the egg Salamander in better grafics and such.
Ive finished the game and sadly super sonic is almost useless in this game, it doesnt feel like the levels were designed around super sonic because theres a ton of hazards that kill you like being crushed which happens far too often, also the grabbing enough rings to actually transform IS the real challenge here.

eh at least it makes you invincible to any sucker punches or cheap shots which is VERY common in classic Sonic games

Bro I wish in zone 9 mecha sonic actually looked like sonic like what is that? Mecha man? But to be honest the death egg robot is sick! Now it makes me wish it was the og design and oh boy I like the dragon fight!
Apparently the large boss in zone 9 actually uses your metal fighter from 2P mode, so you COULD have a giant Mecha Sonic if you wanted

If I recall, Sega prefers to keep most things that were introduced in the classic style games, or only appeared in the pre-dream cast games before sonic mania, exclusive to the classic games. So they probably won't get a modern design

I've spent a solid hour and a half on Zone 11's boss. I can't avoid that spin at the end.
If you have rocket power avoid it with that
I usually play as Sonic. Repeated full jumps just after landing from the previous jump, with drop dashes sticked in between those jumps, was enough for me to both jump over the irregular floor and avoid the arm.
Spam the drop dash.

It's kinda sad there was no REAL metal sonic fight in this game, honestly it would've been sick if they brought back Mecha sonic at some point
You never know some fan games might bring him back plus for free too instead of paying over the price for this game mind you I think fan games should charge but good on them to release them for free

Sorry for the random line, but dunno why "Early-End Boss" theme 1 sounds like something from Silpheed 1 on Sega-CD here than a boss fight? It's not actually a bad thing though but.... on well. Still after being on PSO2-NGS seeing this and watching this vid now I want to buy the game soon. :)

You have to beat the game in story mode, and trip’s story and the secret final boss will unlock.
