Radar can be hooked up to this unit via Ethernet. Lots of guys on the salt water run radar units, the feature can be turned off so the thumbnail isn’t there for boaters that don’t have radar.
Looking at different units. Just purchased the ghost trolling motor. will the transducer on the ghost work with this unit? or will i need to install the 3 n 1 on the back of the boat. idk if the ghost has the 3 n 1 built in or not. thanks
Thanks for subscribing to the channel. The Ghost comes with the 2D and Downscan HDI nose cone and will connect to the Elite FS. You can get a 3 in 1 nose cone to add on if you’d like (000-14900-001)
It comes with a mounting bracket for a transom. You can’t screw it directly to the boat as the flat top part of the transducer has threads in it for the screws. There’s a flush mount bracket available from Lowrance if you want to go that route. $49.95 US (000-12602-001)
Is this compatible with HDS live units? I just got a ghost and am looking for a graph to be able to set waypoints with the ghost. I will eventually get an HDS live 12 for the bow. Just curious if I get the elite fs now if it will communicate with the live later. If not ill hold out for an HDS live 9.
@@BulatOutdoors I figured that was the case. I assume since the Elite FS is so new nobody has shown compatibility. The lowrance website is useless in that aspect as well.
@@BulatOutdoors I did call Lowrance and started watching a number of vids. In this order I want to 1. Find out where I am. 2. Depth of water. 3. How long I've been in the water. 4. How to chart going from the boat ramp to a destination. Elementary stuff. Thx
Sorry about that. The Active Imaging 3 in 1 transducer measures 11.02” long on the metal bracket so from boat to tip of transducer. From the top of the metal mounting transom bracket to the bottom edge of the transducer is 3.11” and 2.63” wide.
Why is there a radar page on the home screen what's its for thanks for your help..

can that 3in1 transducer mount on the trolling motor WITHOUT a special bracket?

It is compatible with the HDS Live. It will communicate via Ethernet and NMEA. it has 1 Ethernet port on the back to connect to the HDS Live

Needs a Lowrance for Dummies (like me) book.
What parts do you want help with? Once I can get my boat in the water I can make more videos

I watch this video to see what size the transducer was and you didn’t even pull it out of the box

Lowrance has the worst costumer service of any unit on the market don't stand behind their products
I've never had any issues that weren't taken care of.
Garmin is better for depth
Haven’t seen any issues laker fishing over 100’ with the stock Active Imaging 3 in 1
