So being a very smart guy with aspergers, it's not suprising. That also explains his feelings of worthlessness and self hatred, which are very likely to happen in high pressure situations like what has happened to M2K in the past. Though he has gotten a lot better at not getting as depressed when he starts losing, hopefully he's had a good mindset adjustment now and worked on that more while he's been retired from Melee.

Your just looking at one tournament out of like 11 sense summit, if you look at all the tournaments sense summit its subpar. Not a bad performance but M2K is M2K. He isn't someone to overlook or underestimate.

Mew2king is one of strangest top players in melee. The obsession with grinding tech skill, even during matches, makes me think he just sees the game very differently from the majority. Glad he's still part of the game though. Honestly, his mentality is his biggest strength and weakness at the same time. I hope he comes back to melee and makes a resurgence next year. His style of play is actually pretty amazing to watch when he is feeling his marth and what not.
hbox has always had animated body language, but i have never seen him look so flustered and nervous.. really showed up in his gameplay. lasers were probably the most impactful decision for m2k's victory. fun set to watch.
Both players look amazing in this set, M2K bringing some new spices and recipes to his style, and Hbox adapting well and being clean himself. The way theyre side stepping each other is some dbz action
M2k is actually statistically the best player vs hbox in game 5 situations I believe. M2k almost always wins game5 sets, the sets he loses are always 3-1 or 3-0. He’s heavily favored vs him in game5s and hbox is actually aware of this, he alluded to it at the mlg tourney M2k said puff carries you btw in Twitter. I think he’s lost maybe two game 5 sets since 2015 vs hbox
