Im not a "real" music fan. (Been an Andra Day since day one, though) Dont know a C from E, but there is a note in here she hits around 4:50 or so that I swear made me feel like I heard the very voice of God. (Listened to this song probably 200 times, first time I got the lyric 'rise up in spite of the ache').

ok, so i was like: i'll watch other versions and i won't cry..like when i watched the official, "inspirational" version of this song by her...and i got through several of them, sure - but some definitely tearful anyway, no matter what..and other ones? best i can say is not *as* tearful...then i see there's an Austin City Limits version..surely i can count on *that* one to not make me cry. used to watch the show every week when growing up..yep, this one i can just kick back and enjoy..dry-eyed!..finally....ummm, yeah.. because, not so much it turns out...should have gotten out while i still had the chance, after hearing her give that intro..before the music had even started. :-/
