I drafted G. Wilson in every league last year and I wasn't mad at him. I was sad about the Rodgers injury and mad at the Jets for not going for Flacco or Mike White, someone that would be an upgrade from Wilson

Adding a bench spot to a 12-team league only adds 12 rostered players/takes away 12 available waiver players. Why did you multiply by three?

Where does Andys math 36 extra players come in? Wouldnt adding 1 extra bench spot be only 12 players?
Was looking for this comment, I thought the same thing.
I want to think he was giving a scenario where a typical 3 ir spots per team all become bench spots, given that in part the argument was along the lines of "why have ir spots anyway?"
@@ColinNasty I have never heard of a league having 3 IR spots...that is wild.
About the IR slot: the whole point is to make it so you're not at such a bad disadvantage when a player gets hurt. If you just turn it into a regular roster slot, you're back to square 1, where if a player on your team gets hurt, you effectively have 1 less player than someone whose team is all healthy. Having injuries already sucks and that just makes it so much worse. With IR slots you can have injuries but still have as many useable players as teams without injuries.
This is a great argument I haven't seen before. I actually was on the other side of this argument. In fact, my league uses one extra bench spot instead of IR, and it has been fine; but you've changed my mind. Thank you.

This is my first time I’m listening to you guys since I lost my fantasy football championships. I haven’t been able to listen since the championship week. I apologize I’m back baby.
My 40th is in March as well. I think I'm handling it much better than I did turning 30. By now I've just accepted that I'm old as hell and have zero fs left to give.
In the 2 almost 3 years of watching this I have NEVER seen Jason get off the seat. Only play with it
I'm good with both Jason's and Mike's jokes. What I'm not cool with is the Rapscallion throwing Jason under the bus! No one messes with the people's champ!
I dont see cmac fading away in the next two years with his ability. Dynasty to most is 2-3 year window. And I fully expect cmac to be the RB1 for the next two years and top 10 after that. He's the RB1 in dynasty period.
I am giving Javonte a pass for this year.. considering the injury.. if he doesnt bounce fully back this coming year, then we will know for sure.

I'm in a very similar situation with Waddle in my Dynasty League. I have a great receiving core with Pittman, Olave, Puka, and Waddle, but I lack depth. It's a start 10 Super Flex League (with 3 Wr, 2 Rb, 1 Te, 2 Flex, and 1 Super Flex). I'm not super optimistic about Waddle's future. I'd much rather take the shot at Nabers than keep Waddle. If I could get the 1.04 or 5 and a couple of 3rds, I would take that
I came here from listening to the podcast just to tell you how ANGRY I am that you guys said YOUR league was the best format for keepers and should be the default, then cut to a nay or yay joke instead of informing your dear listeners what this treasured format is!?! Confused on the IR slot answer. The asker was referring to adding just one slot? That would be 8-14 players removed from the FA pool, not 36... Everyone can run things however it works for them, but I will say, my league does one extra bench spot, and it works out fine. Waivers are actually more competitive, and have a lot more options available compared to many leagues I'm in.
Do you know what ruins waiver wire battles more than an extra bench spot? Extra flex positions. Getting rid of kickers has ruined FA/waiver wire pickups in many leagues I play in. The extra roster spot instead of IR had practically no impact, as people don't need to START another player.
Anyhow, rant over, thanks for the awesome show, as always.

If you have to pay to have a subscription to something (aka Amazon Prime), it's behind a paywall. Jason is kind of out of touch with reality as there are tons of people who do not have Prime. "The entire world" does not have Prime, Jason.
