Everytime when I'm too lazy to clean my room completely, throwing all the stuff away what I don't, I watch these videos. It makes me want to organise my room again and enjoy having less stuff. Thanks!

i love how honest she is like about the set that the company shipped to her twice, that she wouldnt keep the seed oil because she promised she would ship it as a set. like idk that just warms my heart... anyone else?

I am so glad I found these videos. I got too into the whole RUclips makeup gurus, and that started my non stop buying. I finally went through and looked at all the make up I accumulated and felt physically sick at what I had done. I really hated myself for it knowing there are kids starving to death and I was wasting money on make up I didn't need.
You really inspired me to go another round through my collection and purge again.

Thank you for addressing package hoarding. I definitely relate to that struggle. I consistently and inexplicably hold on to MAC, Urban Decay and Tarte packaging. My husband finds it strange that I have a drawer dedicated to empty boxes I can't bear to part with. I've been slowly watching these decluttering videos of yours and have been very inspired to declutter as well. I actually just cleared out some unneeded items this weekend to give to friends and family and it's already easier to navigate when I get ready in the mornings.

One thing that really helped me downsize my makeup collection was by researching which companies test their products on animals. All of those companies I donated or threw away. Not the best way to get rid of makeup, but I learned a lot and helped me no longer purchase from certain makeup brands/companies. I've been watching your entire Declutter Vlog episodes. You're very inspiring. I'm on a minimalist journey myself and you've definitely given me a few more "mantras" I should ask myself when going through my things! Thanks for these!

Thank you! I totally agree! Just looking at the promo images and reading the product descriptions was a downfall for me, it was like I was flirting with temptation and consumerism. I had to cut myself off from the emails, marketing, advertising. I have a goal, in 2013 I hope to look at my belongings and no longer be disgusted with myself lol.

You are one heck of a role model and a very real and relatable woman at that. Your message about self control, financial awareness and common sense is refreshing and without a hint of belittling. My husband has been indulging me like crazy with trips to ULTA, Sephora and the drugstore but I am naturally always controlling myself. He does appreciate it :) Watching this video reaffirmed to me that I am doing the right thing. I have yet to see ANYONE do a video like this on RUclips. You are a pioneer! Huge storm going on outside and I cannot sleep. Watching you is awesome!

Ah the box thing I can totally understand! I LOVE boxes, good sturdy, cute boxes but totally agree. Sometimes I use them as gift boxes but still, they need to just go! I got hooked onto your videos today and I feel a huge urge to spring clean/ purge. I loved how you donated your samples and usually I pick through them right away and send them off to friends/family but still they always accumulate. Thank so much for sharing!

I admire what you're doing. Not only are you helping yourself by de-cluttering your life and realising that there's so much you don't need or use but you're helping others that are less fortunate. You've really inspired me to do the same. Less clutter in my space makes my mind feel less cluttered and I actually feel relief getting rid of things! My friends will also love what I'm doing as I plan on giving them lots as gifts soon :) THANK YOU!

Inspiring. Even though I have less than your stash after the de clutter, what you say really rings true to me. I don't own/rent much space, and I realise that I've been needlessly buying cosmetics etc that I don't use. It's for no reason. So I'm inspired to start sorting through and seeing what I really need. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're such a positive switched on person.

Love, love, love this video Christine!!!!!! A little tip...take re-useable shopping bags with you to stores and skip altogether the "cute" bags that you may be tempted to keep. It's a win,win for you and the earth!! It's not good to "organize" by putting boxes inside of boxes inside of trunks...you forget what you have stashed and forget get all about it. You are doing it right!!

I've got to hand it to you, to have so many products and you still had them organized pretty well. You could open up a cosmetic store. Good job making yourself get rid of stuff, I can relate. I believe you can still get rid of more than half the stuff you saved. But this is a good start. Please stop being so harsh on yourself. You're doing something about it, and someone else can benefit from all your cool stuff.

Let the Chi flow through and on and around! It feels so light to let go and only have minimal, just what you need, no more. I would love to see more of this from our beauty mentors. Throw down the gauntlet and let others be tagged to do this challenge! Not just a hypothetical "What would you do if all your makeup disappeared?" tag, but a real "donate to those who have nothing and then what would you really keep?" tag. xo

Oil from your skin is what makes the is compacts to get hard. A lot of the compact come with that clear plastic I always save them and put lay that on top and then put the sponge on top of that so as something between it and the oil from our skin gets on the brushes so then when you brush the power on when it touches the compact it get hard.

Don't get me wrong I can remember I used to sit for hours on end watching people's makeup collections and I'm glad I stumbled upon this video because I wanted to start a huge collection and buy a ton of makeup when I got a job. Now I have one I came to the realisation I don't need a lot or hardly any because knowing me I wouldn't even use it. The amount I have is a small minuscule of you're higher end products. Nice inspiration to prioritize and make sure we actually CARE about the stuff we have.

I love when you drive around to different stores and show what you're buying it give me lots of idea. And you are so beautiful I remember watching the last video when somebody says stop trying to be 20 something I hate when people voice their opinion a negative opinion you are beautiful

I'm glad you simplified your face routine! I mean, I see all of these young beauty gurus with great, youthful skin, piling on primers, eye creams, day creams, night creams and all that stuff in skins under 20 years old, who in the end all they need is a good wash with just water... I have listened to my mother too and all I do is a proper soap wash in the morning and my face glows... You don't need all that stuff sitting on your faces girls! :)

You had such funny comments in this one,& LOVED seeing adorable Mitzi! You have such great integrity and purity of intent too - like the seed oil telling the company & making sure you sent the whole set as u promised someone u wld do. That is incredible since your parents were not able to be present for you growing up - where did you learn your integrity? 😮

Wow I commend you on your discipline & your self-realization of collecting so much stuff. This is very difficult for some people. I have a very close friend who honestly is hoarder. Not saying you are. This is a very sad/frustrating mental condition because they can't/won't admit to it. I know he needs professional help but its hard because he refuses! He collects/buys and NEVER throws anything out!! I keep praying for him!

I recently had a clear out of my own. I was searching for these videos but only found project 10 pan ones. It really is SO much more satisfying having only a few products that you use. Great vlogs, thank you for sharing with us :)

I completely understand your love for kabuki brushes, packaging, etc. I don't understand my own obsessions with certain makeup items but we can chalk it up to that double X chromosome I guess! I love this series so much.

HAHA "Oh man I could be a grandma, how did I end up with these doyles?" I love your personality. I applaud you for decluttering. I have the same problem and started this weekend with my clothes. I also have not been able to finish my MAC fix +... I see a lot of your habits in myself. It is refreshing to watch your process.
