hi, and just like everyone else here i wanted to thank you for making something (ironically) called "intuitive", a little more digestible. i want to love this thing, but i'm afraid i'm still struggling. as a result, i think i've make a mess of the settings. do you know if there's a "reset" command, perhaps on startup, that will return it to it's factory state? i'd sure like a fresh start! many thanks again!

Unfortunately NO .... the device does NOT have a factory reset ..... so you have to go through all the settings and set them individually ..... make sure it is in the "Quantizer" mode when you are doing this ..... I will make another video (hopefully this weekend) to warn people about the pitfalls of the "keyboard" mode ...... it is a sick joke to call this an "intuitive" quantizer ..... there is nothing intuitive about this device .... and it's programming and documentation for it is the worst piece of utterly illogical and poorly written piece of confused nonsense I have ever seen in any product 😢

This is so far the only video, the only one, that has helped me understand more about the 207. I just can't get my head around the manual at all and knowing there's a few errors in there makes it even harder to fathom. Could you please, please make one more video showing how to set a chord? Otherwise I'm selling my 207 - can't take it any more!!

Hi Nick Cope ...... yes it's fairly easy to make a chord .... you just set each of the channels on the 207 with the correct interval difference ..... and this would, for example, allow you to play all the major chords ..... the problem is when you want a minor chord, then you have to change an interval and that will give you all the minor chords ..... I do not think an "easy" way exists to directly change between them (most songs have both major and minor chords although a few can be played with major chords only) ..... I will see if I can find a way to switch the intervals "on the fly" before I post my video.... thanks for your interest 👍

Nick Cope I have tried to do what you requested and frankly it does not work ..... the buttons and lights behave as described in the manual however the PITCH of Notes 2,3 and 4 does NOT change at all ..... or if it does change, which did happen occasionally, it changes by some random amount and DEFINITELY not by proper intervals as detailed in the manual ...... so if your unit is also doing that same behavior, you can safely get rid of it ..... must be some kind of design flaw..... since it is not so easy for me to dump my unit, I will try to contact the manufacturer and find out if they know why the units are behaving this way ....... PLEASE CONFIRM if your unit is doing the same thing as mine so I can tell them that it is NOT just "my unit"..... and thanks for bringing this to my attention.

@@StephenMendes Yes I was able to put it into Note 2, 3 & 4 Operation, as the manual calls it. And was able to set the intervals, so maybe it's your unit. There's a couple new quantizers out there that give CV over switching scales so I'm going to replace the 207 with one of those.

I noticed that there way too many unanswered questions on ADDAC You Tube channel. Made me suspicious. Google landed on a huge ModWiggler thread and found many complaints about the 207 faulty firmware. And the more I dig the more issues I find. This is a small company like most eurorack outfits. Im old school so I prefer non software based modules.

you have to know music theory ? But I will make a video to help you

@@StephenMendes I know a little bit of music theory. also thanks to your videos :)!
maybe the right question is how to use the quantizer in order to get the chords. if i set a scale and the third on cv2 and the fifth on cv3, can't i get both minor and major chords when sampling the note on that scale? right?
