January first....wow, we do not get that weather in mid summer some years in the UK. Great that you brought your kids along on the challenge and your daughter looked real tired being carried lol. Great Job! you guys are amazing, especially because you carry two youngins on your backs. I collected a special pin and bandana one time up at Whiskeytown Rec. Area for visiting all 5 of their waterfalls. That was a challenge and quite fun. Whiskeytown is an awesome place to see...but, they had a horrible fire, I think last year. Anyway, still looking for you on the trail. I've been to Mission Peaks...but, did you do the hikes you did. On Feb 14th weekend, I'm coming over to the Escondido area for a few days of hiking. One day I'll be at Daley Ranch. If you haven't been there.....go there. Great hiking Watch out for Rattle snakes in the spring and summer.
