Jazz Congress is a conference that brings together members of the global jazz community to network as well as grow the audience for the music. The annual gathering also seeks to nurture businesses and organizations that promote, produce, present, market and support jazz. The third annual Jazz Congress took place on Jan. 13 and 14, 2020 at Frederick P. Rose Hall, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center.

My heart! Betty Carter, who I met but once, will always be Muse, Mentor and Miracle. Through all the twists and turns that survival has necessitated, it is she who keeps me anchored to my childhood love and goal of singing jazz and collaborating with musicians who are equally ablaze with the fire. Gratitude to all involved with this keynote session.
That was amazing, hearing all these wonderful stories about the incredible Betty Carter. She was/is a jazz icon who was very passionate about the jazz art form. May she continue to rest in peace.❤
