Routing a Truss Rod Slot for
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 14 июл 2023
- This is the best truss-rod slot I've done so far, routed it out with my Triton TNMRTR router fitted with a 12mm guide bush and a 6mm cutter & a jig purpose-built for this job.
The ends are tidied up with chisels and the widened slightly to accept the adjustment barrel.
If you want to make your own DIY electric guitar, you'll need to rout a slot for the truss rod - this is how to do it. The template jig is fixed onto the neck blank using double-sided tape between masking tape; similar to the tape & glue trick but less messy, though you have to be more careful when lining everything up as once it's down it's stuck.
If you enjoyed the video, please hit like and subscribe it really helps and is much appreciated.
Best wishes

Glad to see you back! I know how bad ears can get! I’m thinking of getting a TMNRTR so I can use it with a router table.
Thanks mate, it’s good to be back, got a lot of catch-up to do! Honestly, get one it’s a superb piece of kit & really good value for the price 👌
I see the Ironbird is going back together. 🧐 No videos on that?
That’s my friend’s guitar, I’m helping him with it and showing him what to do but he doesn’t want to be on camera 🫣
NEC approved double sided tape is meant to be the one to use for no residue buddy.
Aye, I’ll get some when I run out of this one 👍
@@WhitefootGuitars I just bought some myself to try out, I'll let you know how it goes
