- In this video K2CJB activates Hopeville State Park in CT while camping in the rain. And had to improvise for the antenna due to leaving some gear home! Music is original to me.

Thanks! Yeah I was a little aggravated with myself for leaving the stuff home but the trusty mallet over the branch saved the day! And the sloper worked great!

It’s a great camping spot. We did see quite a few of the internal sites flooded with all the rain.
Good to see the slopper dipole worked well for you. I've never done that before and it's nice to know it can be an option if necessary.

Thanks! Just a couple of Bioenno batteries for the radio. I’m yet to deplete one of them. I also bring a couple of usb battery packs for the iPhones and iPads.

Yeah, we figured rain or shine we were still away from the day to day. It was an incredible amount of rain though.
