    An extraordinary opportunity to procure an unused Princess S78. The owners of Shine have considerable experience in owning Princess yachts, a point that is reflected in the uncompromising specification and attention to detail that can be seen throughout, from the carefully selected fabrics to the Oyster Grey bespoke hull finish. There is no other Princess S78 quite like this one!
    The S78 follows the phenomenal success of previous launches from Princess’s S Class over recent years. Like the others, it boasts a sporty profile while incorporating a sizable flybridge and retaining the dominating features offered in the V Class range such as tender garage, opening roof to the saloon and astonishing performance.
    With speeds up to 39 knots achievable thanks to the combination of the Bernard Olesinski designed hull and the beautifully smooth power delivered from her twin MAN V12 1900hp engines, she will not fail to impress.
    The four cabin configuration sleeps eight guests in uncompromising comfort while on the main deck, the expansive saloon is contemporary, spacious and bright thanks to the beautifully profiled windows and offset design.

    I thought i loved the S78 Nick Burnham reviewed a while ago but this hull, wood and trim colour scheme is next level magnificent. Pity my 21ft Ranieri is too big to use as a tender so I'll have to stick with it for now...

    I have to confess that I've never been a real lover of the 'S' range of Princess's preferring the like's of the F75 and latterly the F78. But this S78 has change my mind. Great size fly bridge, huge cockpit area, nice fore deck sun area. When I come to trade my P61 which I love, who knows!!!

    Not really an unused boat if she has been named and registered. £3.5m + VAT for someone to have had the pleasure of naming her. I guess the 'Shine' has been taken out of that. We looked at a S78 in Majorca but we were very much put off by the single stairs from the transom to the cockpit. This meant with the passerelle extended and stern to berthed in the med, the crew would need to jump off and climb on to the passerelle. The twin bunked crew cabin was a major let down with virtually no light. On a positive note the yacht was absolutely gorgeous and beautifully finished to the normal high Princess standards. As for speed, these S78's are very fast and will keep up with a Pershing into the late 30 knots.

      the single stairs is brilliant, not only does it look good but allows a full crew cabin along with a large tender garage which is usually either/or on that class; with passerelle extended the crew can access sidedecks with the convenient teak step located on each side; most newer boats of that size don't fit in standard 25m Med berths because of inflated beams whereas the S78 does thanks to its thin waistline; can't wait to get mine in less than a semester!

      @@oscarlax5956 We looked at a S78 and found the crew cabin dark and cramped. The bunk beds offer little head room for the crew. The single port and starboard side steps are more an awkward climb. I'm not sure any skipper or steward/ess would want the hassle. To be honest it looks like a health and safety risk. It is a flawed stern that no other boat manufacturer has adopted. I wonder why? The S78 is not exactly slimmed beamed. Our 7X is 17ft 7in and the S78 18ft 11in. Good luck with S78, the interior is stunning and the MAN1900s are awesome. We have a pair of 1800s and when the turbos spool it is music to the ear. We considered a Y78 but hated the padded walls carried over from the 75. Princess were reluctant to offer a modern asymmetrical design like the S78 and F70 so we went for a Pershing. The surf drives are awesome and you soon get use to the interceptors. All the best!

      @@shaundunk386 the 7x is a 20m boat vs 24m for the S78, so no surprise it has a slimmer beam

      It doesn't claim to be a wholly unused boat, it claims to be AS CLOSE to unused as you can get second hand.

    • @shaundunk386
      @shaundunk386 3 года назад

      @@darthkek1953 The boat was bought new, named and registered by her first owner. I believe she has now been sold to her second owner. Used is secondhand regardless of engine hours and condition. This S78 was not even an ex-demonstration or show yacht.

    Why does it have the Seakeeper 16 and not 18 which is standard for that class of boats?

    • @joehill1057
      @joehill1057 3 года назад +1

      Hi Oscar - The Seakeeper 16 was the superseded as an option for the S78 in 2020, so at the time of order of this particular boat, the the 16 was the norm - the design team, based on the hull form and dimensions of the S78, chose the 16 as the best application. Many of the S78's on the water today have the Seakeeper 16 fitted.

      LOA is 24.66m but the loadline is DEFINITELY under 24m and does not trigger the LYC.
      Fun fact... even the princess X95 at 29 meters fits under the LYC as the load-line is still under 24m.
