@@setantasque I haven’t watched a Minecraft video properly in 13 years, and I did 0 YT research for this but I assume someone has probably already done this at some point ngl
Revisiting Minecraft every couple of years and seeing the new updates makes me feel a warmth that I can't describe. If a Victorian child felt this warmth, they would simply drop dead.
One of the first Minecraft RUclipsrs I watched, I remember getting really invested in Minecraft after watching few eps of your play through around 2018, you spawned at a flower biome and built a house on a small Mountain, it's pretty nostalgic to think about it now!
It's a fresh and different video chippy, very cool and I liked the funny cuts where you die constantly Honestly, I had a similar experience where I played minecraft all the time from 2019-2021, took a break(playing Terraria ofc), and then returned to the game recently It was really fun experiencing new world generation and dungeons, but after playing a ton of Terraria, I need to say that I hate dropping every item when dying
@@ChippyGamingIf you ever play minecraft again you could turn on keepinventory. It does require you to have cheats enabled, but it’s Minecraft so the whole point is playing it in the way you find fun.
Both this and RTGame's series really make me smile, like I might have fallen off of Minecraft as it got more and more complex, but its still really nice to see people rediscover it and enjoy their time with it.
So refreshing seeing MC being experienced with a fresh set of eyes. Obviously it's not 100% blind for ya, but it was fun seeing ya look at each updated with a fresh mindset
it's a really nice change of pace to the overstimulating "i spent 1000 days being OP in minecraft using all the meta strategies etc" seeing someone who doesnt immediately go and get mending from villagers, or make an enderman farm in the end, who is just playing casually, it really takes me back to the days of gaming on youtube when people just uploaded videos of them playing games for fun, not with the idea of making money or having every video be bigger and flashier than the last. it's wonderful
Feels so refreshing seeing a person experience minecraft raw, (coming from a person who’s been playing for 10 years consistently) you know? It gives that childlike sense of wonder that I honestly completely forgot about after all these years. Thanks funny terraria man for making this video ❤️
Man terraria and minecraft both formed an entire era of gaming honestly. Even if i stop playing these games for a couple years i will never fully let them go. Both games fill different voids (minecraft for building and automation, and terraria for stellar combat and bosses), and for me they fit hand in hand with each other. Seeing some of these updates you went through was such nostalgia.
Its so refreshing watching this video. Every single minecraft youtuber right now has been playing minecraft for over a decade. They all are amazing at building and they get the best gear in the snap of a finger and they make giant mega structures. So it’s really nice seeing someone really *enjoy* minecraft, in that special way we all did when we first played
Got to agree, Don't get me wrong, Mega structures are nice but sometimes you just want to see something that looks like you could build it without having to gather thousands of materials for hours on end. Not everything has to be some mega hermitcraft-level build or project, It's the little things that make you appreciate the big things.
Man, this is like a blast of nostalgia right in the face. I only started in 1.7.2 but man when you hit right click on your sword in the jungle temple, I just remembered dozens of memories, back then it was, together with crouching the TWO "international peace signs"

11:12 bro has an i9-12900k and an RTX 4090, literally the best commercially available parts (13th 14th gen aren't working so 12th is best), and he uses them to play minecraft and terraria. that is honestly the most real PC gamer thing I've ever seen.
I have created a tendency to play Minecraft on a cycle of every 4 updates, so I'm currently playing 1.21 on a server with friends with the last time I played being 1.17 with the caves datapack. Honestly, I found starting a new playthrough every 4 updates one of the better ways to play, if you're more inclined to Terraria's style of updates.

So many people just haven't kept up with Minecraft over the years, and they attribute their personal falling out with the game to its updates, when I think often, it just sort of fell out of their life and so of course the new stuff would feel unfamiliar and weird. I think a lot of those people would fall in love with the game, new features and all, if they simply gave it a chance again as you have. Looking forward to more Minecraft content from you!
I think the story behind your screen shaking during combat is so funny. You just press the attack button so hard that you can't help moving the mouse around. I think it's funny that this happens in minecraft too, not just terraria
Whats this? A Minecraft video from my Terraria youtuber??? How queer! I have never seen such a thing! I must consult with the algorithm post-haste!!!
I can tell you put a lot of effort in this, i hope you win the algorithm lotto!
fingers crossed lmao
Love the video Chippy. And what a fun way to dive back into Minecraft.
I loved this video chippy, it was actually nice to watch, you keep things very entertaining!
Just wanted to comment and say hi! Keep doing what you love, I may not speak for everyone but I love the videos. I remember during Christmas I would watch your Christmas terraria playthrough and those times meant alot to me!
Thank you chippy
I loved the Terraria-esque building style on your house, looks great
That's cool, Chippy! What would be even more awesome would be if you'd make a Re-Logic/Terraria documentary one day!!! 😍🤞🤞
This really makes me appreciate the modern game and the modern updates. Really cool video, thanks for making it!
chippy, i must say, i love you haha
It was really fun to see all of the changes through the updates and from a fresh set of eyes. Excellent video
lovely video! I'm impress that a world can be migrated through every game version. I recently startet playing the newest update after not really playing minecraft since around 1.9. This video was really helpful in showcasing the cool new things and makes me wanting to play the game even more now. While waiting for the new Terraria update ^^
