I have a little Honda XL200, the problem with my carb is that the bike wont start or run with the choke off you have to keep the choke open at all times for it run, what could be the problem? any help is much appreciated
That sounds like the slow jet also called the pilot jet. That’s usually the culprit for having to run with the choke on. Some of those are pressed into the carb and the best way to clean them is with a small bit of wire to run through and compressed air. If it’s the screws in kind you can remove it and run wire through that too. Make sure all the other small passages are clean for the idle air circuit. The pilot jet was completely blocked on that 125 in the video when I got it. Hope that helps!
That is such a sweet little bike, seems to be a solid runner too
Thanks! Yeah it’s a nice little runner. This rebuild kit helped it even more.
Great video I needed help rebuilding mine 🙏
Thanks! Glad I was able to help!

Where do you find mufflers at?
Swap meets are probably the best place. Vintage Days at mid Ohio would be the ideal spot
Thinking about getting one of these can you find parts or easy to work on these?
Yup the only parts that are hard to find on this bike are the side panels and decals lol. Very easy to work on too.
@@Garage2Trail cool look like a fun commuter or back road bike to grocery store getter
Would be great for back roads and basic trails. Not very fast so I’d stay off the main ones but still a great little bike.
@@Garage2Trail ok thank you will it cruise around 45 you'd say
It probably would with the right gearing but may be screaming it a bit much
