DAMN this has been the biggest tank battle i’ve ever seen… 6 T-72’s, 6 ZTZ’s, some BMP’s and ZBD’s, plus some ZBL’s… AMAZING BATTLE… the pure excitement… like it never ended… felt really like an real life tank fight… this is why we need more 6 tank layers…
What a quick turnaround on a video. You should've seen the other side of the comms. We were joking about them trying to go back by main and were waiting for the attack. It actually threw us off when they didn't push North.
Good call for everyone to get east instead of west, otherwise we wouldn't of had this awesome match
I think and will always think that the ZTZ-99s are absolutely OP in the game with no Full damage hit-spots in the front.

@@eggnog4981 lol the model is broken even Offworld Industries, the people make the game have said. They need to rework the due to the model damage not being done or reflected properly when its gets hit frontally. its listed in a dev update from couple months ago they just haven't gotten round to it like typical Offworld Industries fashion.

@@PaPaFiggy69 still not a full damage. Whereas the abrams can get ~1400 Damage the ZTZ gets max ~1000 damage. Front-Front if you both hit perfectly and at the same time the ZTZ will win under any circumstances

Brilliant. Fantastic all-out tank battle followed by tactical play while the infantry ground themselves against that hill, finally pushing up at the end as the tanks slugged it out to finish. That map is absolutely perfect for tanks, loved this video!

Might as well implement a persistent and non-persistent mode. I think that would be really cool.
It's shocking how much further you can see looking south to north compared with North to south. Looking south I could only see 8-900 meters but as soon as you look north you can see much much further

my 5 hour experience is brutal, 1 kill and 50 deaths, its almost impossible to see the enemy let alone where they shoot from. As for Squads i only had 1 where the SL gave direction and orders, eventhough friendly not a lot of info as no one want to chit chat when bullets are flying. i love the idea of the game i just hope i get it before i get bored of diying

The ZTZ-99 shoots a round and goes through the T-62 turret and explodes behind the tank and ricochets shrapnel into the distance. I love Squad!

Squad just has the worst and most hyper unrealistic tank combat I have ever seen. It is truly mindblowing.

@orrefan54 tanks just shooting each other with nothing happening at extremely close range. Those tanks shoot apfsds for tank combat. The t72 with its dated shell at this range would easily have 300mm of pen. The ztz with more modern shells would pen even more. These tanks should be one shot killing each other. It's is unrealistic in every manner.
Oh yeah, totally mind-blowing that a video game lacks some aspects of realism.
It's still the most fun though, and realistic tank damage would make armor useless on most maps due to AT infantry.

In all my years of historically and battlefield armchair general-ing: I can tell you exactly where the PLA team was doing so right, and went so wrong. They had the range and the tech advantage, but their shot placement after 600-700 meters was *horrible* that is most likely due to the absolute disgusting to use aiming system and reticles on the ZTZ-99. Where the MEA absolute bad and absolutely correct was they were too cautious and didn't stay near their support APC/IFVs enough, so they zirged all their armor and began, not out ranging, but out grouping and zeroing their shots and if you noticed, for the most part in those two major Armor pushes that decided the game, every time a T72 or a T62 engaged a target there was usually a ratio of 2:1 shooting, in favor of MEA. this made the superior front armor and sloping of the ZTZ-99 effectively useless which made the ZTZ-99s hesitant to use their superior mobility to close the gap. The infantry gameplay was also dominated by the MEA despite not having as many points. The smaller FOBs placed along with defending the objective made logistical support harder for the PLA infantry. Yes MEA lost more tanks in Total, but the over all performance of the entire team was better which allowed the game to flip down at the wire.
If you need to devise a flanking plan, you're already being outflanked.

It looks beautiful, only the fragments flying off from the equipment look monotonous. It is better to make them three times smaller, but let them be real pieces.
Amazing caster, though I'm thinking a ww2 mod with reduced range, closer combat be more fun to play and watch. This is too realistic where the enemy is so far away. Would it be fun to do the 4 shermin tanks vs 1 tiger close combat? There's a vid on it in youtube (movie clip).

im not gonna lie, good content, but I want to hear the comms in the tank layers(actually all layers), not you talking over them. If you could maybe do subtitles for this or try not to talk to much? You don't see layers with 6 tanks often, and the comms are really interesting in tank battles.

I was thinking the exact same thing! I just asked for a refund after 40 hours playing the game on mid to max settings and after the updates and barely keeping it at 40 fps
@@diegobluc the recent updates have ruined performance. It used to be easy to get 90 fps + on low settings, and alright 60ish fps on high settings. It's always 40-50 fps now with drops in populated areas, regardless of settings.
@@nuggetsaltshaker9520 I tried a refund right after I wrote that comment and got refused. WITH ONLY 40 HOURS. I just applied for a new one and I will keep trying until they give it to me
@@diegobluc refunds are typically only for two hours, I wouldn't expect to ever give a refund at 40 hours. The game should be playable within an update or two, just give it a month and it will be back to normal.

Tank layers are too boring for me, especially on these maps. 6 is way too many, 4 would be better, and with longer wait time. The tickets just empty too fast, and the gameplay is boring. Would be way for interesting on the large and complex maps like Yehv rather than these open desert long range frontal fights without much skill or tactics.
And tanks have much less complex and diverse combat than any other vehicle. Would be way more interesting to see a bunch of bmp vs brad, or btr vs lav. The faster movement and different weapons like tows makes it more interesting. Also since they can carry infantry they'd be involved rather than only armor fighting eachother.

Going up against an Abrams… a Type 10 or a K2 would not be an easy task tho.
