Mayuri is basically having fun in this war while everyone is fighting for their lives Mayuri is just basically shopping for dead bodies and using them as ingredients for his new experiments and his comrades are basically paying for all the prices 😂
I find it intriguing how Pernida can only communicate in simple phrases despite being the arm of progress for unarguably the most intelligent character in the series
If you notice, its speech becomes clearer, more coherent, and more complete as the battle progresses; its speech ability is evolving. Before its fight with Mayuri, it probably didn't need to speak much before, so it probably evolves with what is needed in the moment.
Mayuri has the strongest plot armor, he deserve to be in Squad Zero. Imagine him trolling the Soul King asking him for an artificial arm and legs so he could be useful again instead of being useless zombie lol.
The things that bother me though is I feel is that they need to fix a few things in the Blu Ray. There was the lazy 3rd left hand that look like it was sleeping and as they were getting consumed, the Pernida’s didn’t do ANYTHING but sit there and get eaten. (Also where were the finger bows, Pernida Screaming as he rips his own finger off, and of course, his big BOI Bow? I know you can’t have it all but those are kinda important. Maybe we’ll get it in part 2 of the fight.
The 3rd arm in the ground was also like that in the manga, so no change needed, that clone was heavily damaged by Mayuri so it was still recovering. Same with the Hands standing still while letting Ashisogijizo eat them, Pernida didn't really do anything in the manga but scream in confusion because The Compulsory wasn't working on the baby. Pernida didn't reveal he has a bow too until the baby eat all the clones so we will see it when the fight resumes.
Wait so is his "invention" are real living things or just mechanically or he created. It would be really twisted that his gadget or made from his test subject, similar to Mahito's power
Bleach TYBW arc is the only manga I ever followed weekly other than trying to read HXH now, and these parts of the fight were a lot better in the manga because the pacing is way off with the too much dialogue, and the colors and bland backgrounds are super ugly.
It's an abomination. The quincy act just like the sternritter but with less characterization. This animation at times looks good, but the washed out backgrounds and melo-drama is very old to me. I thought the manga was really bad, but I still enjoyed this fight with the hand there and a few others, they are actually worse in the anime because the point is driven home how empty the narrative is. I was not sure how I felt about it overall until this episode, which really ruined the look, action, and tone of this fight. The x-axis one can potentially be worse, and uryu/hascwahld can be too.

@Pezint the whole fight hasn't been animated yet. So far I still prefer the manga but the crucial part of the fight hasn't been animated yet. This fight was never good for its fight choreography or anything it was the narrative between mayuri and nemu.
