In just 2 weeks, Pope Francis will embark on his longest apostolic journey to date. As with all of his trips, safety is top of mind. His upcoming trip to southeast Asia has its own security concerns including clashes between religious groups, tribal violence and terrorism. On the forefront of the Holy Father's security is the pontifical Swiss guard, a mission they've been entrusted with for centuries. The Swiss Guard has protected the Holy Father since the early 1500s. EWTN Vatican journalist Benedicte Cedergren gives us a look at the critical role the Pontifical Swiss Guard plays in the security of the Holy Father.

My sis met the Pope in Rome last year, now he is visiting the country PNG ✈️🇵🇬🙏 they are very hospitable, friendly people. God bless us all Amen 🙏🕊⭐️
